  1. Well in fairness to the mame2003plus core and rom set it does have some advantages. It's relatively small with no trashy video poker or fruit machine bloat and the core does support netplay if that is something of interest to you. It's just that if you want to use the mame2003plus core you will want the proper set, I just checked and it is still available on the internet archive, just Google "internet archive mame2003plus" and it should be the first result.
  2. There was and probably still is a complete Mame 2003plus rom set on the internet archive. Using a .231 rom set is going to have a lot of incompatibilities.
  3. It should be still compatible, no reason it shouldn't be as far as I am aware of but nowadays m64p is the better choice, it has the gui built in and everything. https://github.com/loganmc10/m64p/releases
  4. I'm not going to go into any real detail to help you out here because right out of the gate you are using a very mismatched rom set and emulator. What I will do however is point you to my Mame for noobs tutorial.
  5. Basically chd didn't work because RocketLaunchers AHK script wasn't looking for them.
  6. Ideally you want to look for a No-Intro set, they are reliably perfect rom dumps and the sets have no extra garbage in them, avoid anything labeled as GoodSet.
  7. There really shouldn't be any sound files for .pce files, they are just straight up cart / hu card dumps like NES or SNES roms. They should only be a single file.
  8. .pce files are TG16 / PC Engine roms but the CD-ROM System.pce ones are bios files which are required for CD based games. The cue + iso is a CD game and you need to load the cue file but you may want to make sure you have good disc images, there are a lot of bad / incompatible ones out there. Ideally you want cue + bin format from the release group Redump, those are the highest quality images out there.
  9. That is a new one, never heard of anyone having this kind of issue ever.
  10. We cannot post links because they are bios files which covered by copyright law.
  11. I did do my own No Filler Consoles edition but never got around to uploading it. It's just my personal lists of games and I only did systems that I actually care about: Atari 2600 NES N64 PC Engine Sega Genesis Sega Master System Sega SG-1000 SNES / SFC Just remember I did not do any crowd sourcing for games or use any internet "Top Lists". I Just went through a No-Intro rom set and started picking out games that I liked and games that typically were well received by others. I may have missed some games. Here is a zip file containing each platforms rom list, spreadsheet and batch file for pulling a set out of a No-Intro set. No Filler Console.7z
  12. This is not a Launchbox question so I moved it to a more appropriate section of the forum.
  13. Here are the 4 bios I have and are placed in the Retroarch\system folder. You can see how they need to be named and the crc check sum values that RA requires.
  14. I would suggest asking over on the Retroarch forums but right out of the gate the fact that you have an AMD graphics card is not good for emulation because they have very poor GL drivers. One thing I can suggest however is trying the Vulkan or DX video driver in Reatroarch with the Flycast core.
  15. The Launchbox installer has never included a license.xml file, the file is emailed to a user after the purchase the lifetime upgrade and the user puts it in the Launchbox install folder.
  16. There is a free version, just remove the license.xml file from your LB folder if there is one there. These types of error messages are ones we know are caused by pirated licenses or "crack files" distributed around the net. If you think there is some sort of error here then please email support@unbrokensoftware.com, we here on the forums cannot help you with this issue beyond what I have told you.
  17. This means you are using a pirated license. If you feel this is an error then you can contact support@unbrokensoftware.com and they can sort you out. Otherwise you can purchase a legitimate license through the website and just drop it into your LB folder and everything will work as it should.
  18. You can add any emulator you want to LB, you don't need to follow any of the drop downs. The post i'm linking to directly here shows exactly how to add a new emulator.
  19. Also, you are confusing 2 things here, adding emulators and the core selection in the associated platforms section for Retroarch, these are 2 separate things.
  20. The emulator does not show in the dropdown list until you add it. Duckstation is the stand alone emulator and Swanstation is what RA calls their core due to a dispute with the developer. If you want to add the core, close Launchbox, start up RA, download the core and then restart LB. Now when you go to the associated platforms section of your RA emulator entry in Launchbox it will show in the drop down.
  21. This post shows exactly how to add an emulator to LB.
  22. Literally the 2nd post, my first response shows with screenshots how to do it. My video tutorial I linked shows and it's easy to add them using the manage emulators and many of the online tutorials show how so yeah please don't act like it's so difficult and we can't be bothered to tell people.
  23. You can not do this, you need to import your roms to have LB load them because without importing LB wouldn't know what to load, it passes the appropriate command line to the emulator.
