  1. Hi all, Not sure if this was answered, search didn't turn up what I'm looking for. Is there a way to make BigBox display genres in the same way it displays platforms? I want to sort all games by genres but still have a spiffy presentation with clear logos for each genre and videos as well. At the moment, sorting by genres jsut displays them as white text without videos or images. Thanks!
  2. Love the idea of having possible control schemes indicated per system. It got me thinking that, as a long-term goal for BigBox, my dream would be able to sort games by genre with each game displaying how it would control. I.e. windows would should a keyboard, ps2 would show its controller if that's what's used, etc. One can dream.
  3. Somehow, when I took the -s out of the command line, it works now with ROMS that AREN'T Zool . . . no idea why. But I'm not complaining, lol
  4. I've had an issue to where everything works with the command line EXCEPT it keeps loading the same game no matter what game I click on with LaunchBox. Anyone else have this trouble?
  5. Woo! Nice, fixed the problem on my end too. Thanks for this Cid!
  6. Perfect! I just got a 4k TV over Black Friday so your timing couldn't be better. Thanks for this
  7. This is so weird. So on settings identical to mine it works in some cases and not in others, and in settings different from mine in works sometimes and not other times. There must be some hidden setting we're missing? . . .
  8. Just out of curiosity, are you using them as the primary platform videos for Bigbox? Or making them specific to the Bigcouch theme?
  9. Videos are still misaligned for me too. If it helps, I noticed that Intellivision, Atari Jaguar, MS-Dos, NeoGeo, NDS, 3DS, and Amiga CD32 (and a few others) are all lined up perfectly. If those videos share some quality the others do not, perhaps that's the key? . . . just guessing
  10. Still didn't fix it for me. I should note also that I'm on Launchbox beta, if that could be the problem
  11. Can't speak for the others, but I'm still getting the issue
  12. Also getting these errors. Same specs as above
  13. Never knew this! Awesome, thanks. LB gets better and better.
  14. Very well designed theme. I've been a bit out of the loop lately, have we gotten the ability to load platform videos based on the theme? I want to install this theme but I like MinimalHD with Baker's themes too much to permanently switch. I'd like to be able to switch between this and MinmalHD but it feels like it'd be a ton of effort to swap 35+ platform videos every time . . . unless there's an easier way?
  15. Great work as always. Love the new 3DS theme. Do you have any plans to make an Odyssey 2 or Pinball video theme?
  16. I'm actually getting the same video issue he is. Game videos play just fine, but system videos don't play at all in certain views. The view which looks like the traditional BigBox default plays them just fine (VLC player), but if I switch views, the videos don't play. Not sure why.
  17. That fullscreen video view with an icon in the upper left is a thing of beauty for menu minimalists. Is that view shared by the games menu as well?
  18. This is great. SH2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Thanks for this
  19. Count me among the interested. I moved from EmulationStation to Launchbox, but I have a nostalgia spot for its GUI. Thanks for this. The day I can simply change themes in BigBox without editing any code will be wondrous one.
  20. That also sounds reasonable to me, considering I can download those themes for free. It's when you put free labor behind a paywall that things get messy.
  21. To me, 10 or 12 bucks is completely reasonable. Work is work, if someone wanted to get paid for it, let them. You're under no obligation to purchase if you don't like it. (Is what I would have said if I had been in that discussion . . .) I spoke with him briefly, he doesn't make anything off his themes despite them being behind a paywall. Which IMO is Activision-level worker manipulation. It pisses me off just thinking about it. This kind of pro-bono "do it free for the community while I make money off you" crap is rampant in the graphic design industry and as a collective we're trying to reject it. It isn't fair to the artists and it cheapens their work. Same for Mr. Baker's incredible work. In my opinion, of course. For putting up with it, I have huge respect for the guy. Not so much the people who run Hyperspin. Donated to their platinum section before I knew the dude wouldn't see a dime . . .
  22. You can't upload them through the normal downloads section? I wouldn't mind picking and choosing themes myself. I limit each system to 100 games after all. Not sure if others feel the same. But I still understand your point. I'm willing to upload the ones I've got, but not if someone has to pay for them.
  23. The platinum section? Really? I thought it was just that they needed to be shared on their forums. Are they paying their users for the themes they make Hyperspin? If so I can understand that logic.
