  1. Launchbox can import anything you want, including video files, however this is a games frontend so there is no support at all for scraping movies/tv shows from our database. Also KODI absolutely supports .mp4, its probably the most popular format out there for video files so it would be silly if it was not supported in a video playing program. What you could do is setup kodi, then import kodi into launchbox, so you launch it from bigbox, alternatively there is a kodi plugin that will launch Launchbox/Bigbox from within kodi.
  2. Ah gotcha, you mean its not a platform in the database for scraping. Yeah im not sure how to add a new system, i guess thats something that @Jason Carr would have to do.
  3. It doesnt have to be in the platform dropdown, you can just type anything you want into the empty box.
  4. Each to there own, but i couldn't think of anything more boring than flipping boxes. I would much rather get to the games as quick as i can.
  5. im assuming that 4k with 200% scaling will work also? Sorry i have upgraded since your last release.
  6. Cool, yeah works perfect for what i wanted, and no need to mess with configs, just a simple core override save.
  7. yeah as far as i understand it the flip only works if you have a image of the reverse, so box-front, box-back and cart-front, cart-back should work, nothing else will i bet as its not actually flipping the image its just showing a different one.
  8. This is usually due to read speed of the HDD drive and seems to be down to VLC itself, try WMP instead that doesnt have the same issue for me.
  9. You tried this, it splits a core into different ones for different systems.
  10. No,links to roms are not allowed on the forums under any circumstances. Google will help you though im sure.
  11. The startup videos are using the VLC that comes with the launchbox install just like the platform/game videos inside bigbox, and yeah that certainly is very plausible, but not everyone see's it and it seems to be completely random, so is proving tricky to isolate.
  12. That is how it is supposed to work, if you press a button it will stop the video once Bigbox has loaded. I see this from time to time also, Jason is aware of it but its proving very tricky to track down thee cause.
  13. That is probably how they are ID'd inside of Scummvm would be my guess, or just what the .exe is named.
  14. Well that first image straight up says that the game you are trying to play does not work in MAME.
  15. He is using a different theme to you, all themes are different and have different objectives and designs. This is the one he is using.
  16. Did you add the command line parameters in the manage emulator screen? You need -b -e in there.
  17. Then you need to turn off background video, that option does exacly what it says plays the video as a background. I dont think what you are trying to do is possible without you editing the theme code, it is a general toggle background videos everywhere or not at all.
  18. What format are the games in? also what happens if you try to load the game from within Dolphin?
  19. Well dolphin doesnt even need to no where your roms are as long as Launchbox does, so i dont understand why Dolphin would be giving you that message, it should be launchbox saying it cant find the rom if you load it from launchbox. If you right click the game in Launchbox and go to edit is it pointing at the correct path?
  20. Well that means exactly what it says, is that launchbox giving you that error box or dolphin? Did you move your roms at some point?
  21. Well a rocketlauncher fade is a screen which shows what game is loading along with loading/unzipping progress bar, which closes out once the game is loaded. I assumed Game startup launch screen is the same thing. At the moment you can have the now loading box when you load a game, this will just be a full screen version of that, as far as i understand it. Of course i have been wrong many times though.
  22. Actually they were 4th on the last poll, but we are calling them "Game Startup Launch Screen with Progress Bar" not fades. https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-V9D22LCH8/
  23. The controls for MAME are set within MAME itself. Just load up a game in MAME, then hit tab on your keyboard and go to input general, just use the arrow keys and enter to select the button you want to assign and then press the button you want to use for it on your controller/arcade stick. If you need a game to have different controls than the general, then you go to input this machine and set the buttons and that configuration will only work for that game.
  24. Not quite sure what you mean there, you can have anything you want as a platform. I dont think Commodore 64 Tapes was ever one of the default ones either, that sounds like a custom platform to me.
  25. @Jason Carr a little thing i have just noticed in .Next. If you change the font size in the side bar the boxes for search and the sorting dropdown dont scale in size to match, so the text gets cut off. Text seems to be OK everywhere else when you change font size its just the sidebar that isnt playing ball.
