Well to go back to what Jason posted there, have you checked your game details settings? There are lots of options to check/uncheck there.
-
No it only started happening after i updated last night for me, i assumed its related somehow to the change in the options layout with the new Legacy/Boxes layout, but you will no better than i.
-
Yeah they are all pretty much 1080p these days, they should say in the description if they are not.

The bezels are available as a full pack on the emumovies ftp or are split into packs here in the download section of the forums. They are not something that is scrapable im afraid. If you just put them in the artwork folder in your mame emulator folder MAME will see them automatically. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/12-platform-bezelsoverlays/ Not sure what to tell you about the emumovies code im afraid, you could try emailing support@unbrokensoftware.com.

MAME bezels simply go in your MAME/artwork directory. They must be zipped and specifically for mame, bezels made for other emulators will not work.

The Launchbox database is updated every 24 hours, as it relies on user submitted images and information everything that is added and accepted by our database moderators is rolled up and updated every day. I am not sure on the emumovies side though, i think that is fairly static and they add images and such in bulk from time to time.

A user posted a issue in another thread that i also experienced myself last night @Jason Carr. For me it happened when clicking options in the tools menu and happened to me twice. What happened is i clicked tools and then options, upon clicking options all the options in the tools menu greyed out and the program hung and enlarged to fill the screen and hide my taskbar, i had to ctrl-alt-delete. However like the other user end tasking didnt close the program, at least not initially. I waited about 30 seconds and it still didnt close so i end tasked again at which point i got the exact same image the user posted in the thread linked above, with that weird little box on top of the window before it finally closed. I then re-opened Launchbox and the exact same thing happened again. Third start seemed to be the charm and i was able to get into the options that time. Im not really sure what happened Launchbox didnt throw any errors at all even a windows "program has stopped responding" one, it was only when i got into task manager that i had any indication that the program was not responding. Edit: This just happened again, and it was by going to options again, this time i did get a program not responding error but still had to end task twice as it wasn't killed on first attempt, and i grabbed some shots this time.

I had the exact same thing happen to me twice last night. Im going to report it in the beta thread though as this thread isnt for bugs.

If the platform is already named Megadrive in launchchbox then you may have to rename some images to match it. Go to Launchbox/Themes/Unified/Images/Theme there are 4 folders in here for the different image types the theme uses, make sure they match exactly how you have megadrive named. For me i have it called "Sega Mega Drive" in Launchbox so had to rename those 4 image types to match that.

Stellar ~ RetroArch Nightly Updater
neil9000 replied to wyzrd's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Also just to correct you this isnt even a Launchbox plugin, its a standalone .exe that was just advertised here as it was handy for our users. Its not a Launchbox thing per se. -
Stellar ~ RetroArch Nightly Updater

I think thats a big ask there if im honest, this was specifically for retroarch. You realise how many different emulators there are? I would guess its in its hundreds, and you want him to keep all that up to date? Its not difficult to go to the emulators site and check for updates if you want one. Also to be honest im of the opinion that if it works dont break it. -
Big Box not correctly filling non primary monitor
neil9000 replied to Abwezi's topic in Troubleshooting
Yeah i thought so, i believe that is actually a Windows issue. It will match resolutions to different monitors even if the monitor in question doesn't actually support said resolution or is a completely different resolution. So although it works for Windows itself it seems to confuse applications as they are told the resolution to show by Windows hence them not filling the screen correctly. Maybe @Jason Carr would have a bit more knowledge with the workings of multiple different resolutions in windows than me, but i think that is the issue as i understand it. -

Are they different resolution monitors extended? -
Big Box not correctly filling non primary monitor

If i am understanding you correctly then this is a emulator issue not a Launchbox/Bigbox one. Its down to the individual emulator settings what screen and resolution they launch on. So i would look in the emulator settings and see what you can find there. -
Glad you figured it out but i have to ask also, you have to specify your game location in the teknoparrot ui also first right? You set the game location for the specific game and also set the controls for said game in the same place.
-
have you tried parrot ui as the emu?
-
Thats a emulator issue, have you set the controls in retroarch?
-
Correct, but to add. It will also depend on your region priorities you have set in the launchbox options, you obviously want (JAP) as the top option in there. Also you should still scrape that platform as "Super Nintendo Entertainment System".
-
No probs glad i could help. Always remember that the emulators in Launchbox need to no what Systems/Platforms you want to emulate with it, it doesnt know by itself, so if its not there simply add it.
-
So you probably need to add Super Famicom as a associated platform as i said. Tools/Manage Emulators, double click retroarch, pick the associated platform tab and scroll to the bottom, add Super Famicom as a platform (named exactly the same as it is in launchbox) and pick your core from the dropdown.
-
Do you have a emulator set, and is it retroarch? If so you will need to add Super Famicom as a platform via tools/manage emulators/your emulator/associated platforms.

Standalone redream deffo supports CHD as that is what mine are.
-
Yes, just go to options/Views/Default startup view and change it to all games.
-
No, it means if a game doesnt have a image it will show a generic Launchbox one but the same shape and size of the rest of the games so that everything is still the same size and looks more organised rather than just having a grey box when you have no image.
