The platforms do not have backgrounds, they are fullscreen videos, its the game views that have backgrounds and they should mostly work without you having to do anything, unless you have named your platforms something different than the default names.
-
It depends on the theme, you have to supply a icon that your theme knows to call if a game is marked as complete. Check below the video to the left in this shot, that's the critical zone 2 theme, and that has icons.

Amazon.co.uk does not insist on a credit card, debit cards are just fine there, I think the issue you have is trying to use different currency in another country, without any sort of existing bank account or card elsewhere. Unfortunately that's a issue we can not easily solve, most country's its not a problem, some it is.

Change which core to load in Retroarch for PS1
neil9000 replied to RetroJesus's topic in Troubleshooting
Yes it can be done of course Launchbox is a launcher it will launch what you tell it to. However, it seems like you have a mish mash of different formats for a single system, which will confuse things somewhat. -
Cool, I did something and was asked to restart to change the language, so I backed out quick. Seems some others didn't.
-
Is the Next/options thing fixed? I nearly reset my language settings by mistake.

SOme Playstation 1 games will not work in big box
neil9000 replied to ManGrissle's topic in Troubleshooting
Hmm, maybe that should of been explained upfront? Also CHD is probably the recommended format these days anyway, but we are not touching on that in this thread.- 45 replies

SOme Playstation 1 games will not work in big box
neil9000 replied to ManGrissle's topic in Troubleshooting
Yeah, as has been stated in here often, if they work in Retroarch they will work from Launchbox, there really is no difference there, Launchbox just says to Retroarch "load this". So if they work in Retroarch but don't load from Launchbox there is a disconnect there, likely a setting in Launchbox, or a file you moved during import. As @Lordmonkus said if it works in Retroarch it works in Launchbox.- 45 replies

Did you let Launchbox move your files? If so it moved the .cues but not the .bins.- 45 replies

SOme Playstation 1 games will not work in big box
neil9000 replied to ManGrissle's topic in Troubleshooting
if the game was corrupted it would be even more so after converting to another format I would guess, the fact that it works now means unfortunately, there is some sort of user error in your import process. Did you perhaps accidently import a .bin instead of a .cue on that specific game? There is no reason why converting it would make it work, it either worked or didn't, so the file is simply good or bad, and the fact it works now tells me its a good file.- 45 replies

Bios screen is often needed for games to boot correctly, not all of course but certain games need a full boot, same thing with PS2 games.- 45 replies

Change which core to load in Retroarch for PS1
neil9000 replied to RetroJesus's topic in Troubleshooting
Beetle/mednafen is the best core to use for ps1, I believe PSX rearmed uses a emulated bios and that is why they work there. If beetle/mednafen says your bios are wrong then that is surely the issue, the checksome may be correct, but are they named exactly the same? -
Yes, Yes and yes. @Retro808 said, The problem is you are not using the correct command line for a custom config in Retroarch. To use a custom config you need the "-c "config\[custom config name here]" command. So it should look like this:
-
I think these.
-
No probs, yeah that's what I would of probably done, just copy paste the original so that it would only need minimal edits once portable.
-
Go to Tools/Options/Screenshot Priorities, check/uncheck what you do and don't want then move your preferred one to the top of the list.
-
Correct.

By default Dolphin stores its info in the user directory, so all instances of Dolphin on your system will use the same settings. In order to have two installs with different settings you will need to make your Dolphins portable, which will save the setting info inside of the dolphin folder so you can have 2 with different settings. You just need to name them slightly differently in Launchbox, like Dolphin native, and dolphin hi res for example. Here is the wiki page on portable dolphin setup. https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/controlling-global-user-directory/

The easiest way would probably be Tools/Add missing playlists let it create all the playlists, then close launchbox and go to Launchbox/Data/Playlists and delete them all except neo geo mvs. Then open Launchbox highlight all the games in that platform and change the emulator.

God yeah, Horse mode in Tony Hawks was great.
