  1. What I do is use controller companion, which allows you to set keyboard buttons to controller buttons. It allows you to map any profile to a specific program so all my emulators have save state and load state on back and shoulder buttons. This can of course be set to the appropriate keyboard key, so always the same combo on the controller but actually sending different commands depending on the emulator in use. http://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/
  2. You can not download any game videos from Launchbox with the free emumovies account, you are free to download them yourself from the emumovies website, but you will be limited to the low quality ones and with a bandwidth speed cap and a per day gigabyte limit. If you pay them they will be available from within Launchbox and at the higher quality. As for box art, clear logos and such, they come from both ourselves and emumovies, you can specify which you would prefer in the import wizard and the update metadata and images wizard, you can specify one over the other or just grab everything from both services.
  3. There is no such core as beetle_bsnes_libretro.dll you probably just want bsnes_libretro.dll If you go to your Retroarch/Cores folder all the cores will be in there with the actual name you need to use, what it says in retroarch is not always the same as the actual core name. In this picture I have highlighted some of my snes cores, I think the one you are trying to use is the bottom one mednafen_snes_libretro.dll. It is named as beetle in retroarch, but the actual core is named differently.
  4. If you buy a premium license you can use on as many of your personal systems as you want, the only thing we don't allow is sharing it with friends or family. Launchbox/Bigbox are Windows only, so no it wont work on a Raspberry pi. The Premium license will allow you to download platform videos from within the program, but the actual game videos are not supplied by us, they are provided by emumovies and you will need to have a subscription from them in order to get game movies, the images are provided free of charge but videos need a paid subscription with emumovies. If you do decide to go for that you can enter your details in Launchbox and you will then have the option to download game videos when you import or after the fact if you already have systems imported. Hope that helps.
  5. Go to options/image cache and refresh platform wheel images.
  6. Yeah that is @eatkinola theme plugin, I also had someone in the discord yesterday getting a plugin error with a different plugin, so it looks like plugins are not compatible at the moment, or at least some are not.
  7. There is a button at the top next to bigbox, and there is a new .exe in the Launchbox folder.
  8. Yep was about to say the same, you just have "Sega Dreamcast", it should be "Sega Dreamcast(homebrew)" as well.
  9. Just start the steam import wizard, there will be a link in there. I just tested this myself and its working.
  10. Yeah understood, but if it is different every time its gonna be hard to automate that right? "When the game is started it asks for a certain word out of the manual for the game. if you don't type this word, the game will shut down and bring you back to launch/big box"
  11. I'm not familiar with these games, but I am familiar with the 80's and there versions of DRM. It may be as @damageinc86 says different every time.
  12. Can you post a image of what you mean by "it has weird lines and the picture is a mess" A picture is worth a thousand words and all that.
  13. Ha ha, its "nearly" always a silly typo like that that trips people up.
  14. You should add that command line to the actual emulator. So go to tools/manage emulators, double click Retroarch and go to the associated platforms tab. Add your platform here and name it exactly the same as it is named in Launchbox, then add the command line to the right of it. You may also need to bulk edit the roms to use that emulator, just click a game in that platform then ctrl A to highlight them all, then ctrl E to open the bulk edit wizard, select emulator from the dropdown, then retroarch from the second dropdown. If that doesn't work or you have any other questions just ask.
  15. Just use the core called "MAME" this is the current version of MAME and is updated monthly just like the standalone version. Its currently on version 0.195.
  16. Yeah that's fine to use retroarch, just make sure you check that box in the wizard and the screen will still show regardless of emulator choice.
  17. I assume you are not using MAME as the emulator? That screen only shows by default if you choose MAME as the emulator. However you can still use the MAME importer with another emulator, on the last screen of the wizard is a "force importing as MAME for emulators that use MAME data" check that box and the screen will show regardless of the emulator you chose.
  18. You save in game like you would on real hardware, so at a save point or in the menu. Save states can be saved anywhere just jump into the quick menu or set a button combo in the retroarch input/hotkey binds menu.
  19. Try not using the installer version, I have never used that personally I just use the zip version. Also as to the bios you don't need to direct the core to it, just put it in Retroarch/System and it will see it automatically if its correct.
  20. Try installing the pack linked in the description of this video.
  21. Yeah was about to suggest the same.
  22. Hmm, I'm really not sure what to suggest at this point. I have never seen Retroarch not load a core by itself through the retroarch UI, you should be able to load any core you have downloaded to your system from there, regardless of if it actually loads games or not.
  23. The playstation emulator works just fine, I cant speak to winvice as I have never used that myself. You say you have the bios for PS1, is it in your retroarch/system folder? Also is it named correctly? I f you load the core in retroarch and go to core information it will tell you the bios it is looking for and weather or not it is present.
