    1) Go to tools/options/updates and check the update to beta box, uncheck background downloads then save and quit Launchbox. When you re-open Launchbox you will be prompted. 2) No not at all everything will stay the same after a update.

    That is how it already works, just set a hold button to hold down then add the other ones to any button you like. Edit: Sorry I misread that, you want to hold 2 buttons then press a third? That is unfortunately not a feature that is available.

    Yep I was on there about 10 minutes ago, works fine for me. They are having issues with there sync which effects Frontend integration and are working on the issue as we speak. Just have a little patience please its not the end of the world.

    Theres no need for that, they haven't changed the api as far as I know, but it does go down from time to time, not often but it does happen. It will be back, and if you have access to the ftp and website just use those for the time being.

    I too will also add that I have had 2 usb Seagate drives die on me both after just over a year, Seagate did replace the second one free of charge, but it was a 5TB one and was full with Launchbox and all my Movies and TV Shows at the time so I lost it all. I wouldn't personally buy Seagate again.

    Not just you, been a few reports. You will just have to wait the outage out I'm afraid.

    The Launchbox api is different to the website, it will get sorted.

    Yeah it got reported in our beta thread so I tested here on my system and I cant login also. It does happen from time to time, and the api, the website and the ftp are all separate entity's that's why the other two are still working. I'm sure once circo is aware of the issue he will get it fixed, so just hold tight and if I here anything about it being back up ill come back here and let you know.

    Yeah there have been a couple of reports of this, this morning. It appears the api is down at the moment, nothing we can do on our end as its a emumovies issue. I did tag @circo in our beta thread as he is the one that runs emumovies, but they are US based so its very early on a Saturday there. Hopefully it will get sorted in due course, you will just have to sit tight for a while until this is resolved.

    Yeah it wont connect for me either in Launchbox, must be down at the moment. @circo would need to have a look at it. Edit: The ftp and website are up, so looks like a api issue.

    Yeah me too, I like to actually know it's downloading, but we had a lot of requests for background downloads so Jason added it as a option which I think is on by default.

    for the beta download? if you left background downloading on then no, you will just be prompted when the download is done. If you uncheck that box you will be prompted as soon as you open launchbox, but will have to wait for the download to complete.

    Yes this is possible but only with Platform categories but not the platform list. You can create a platform category called Playlists and add all your playlists there, just right click a playlist and edit, then check the box to show in platform list, then in the dropdown below just type what you would like the category called. Then you would need to switch Launchbox/Bigbox to sort by Platform Category instead of just Platforms.

    There was a issue with the api key we use, this has been fixed in the latest beta so I suggest updating to it. More info here.

    Right click the game and go to edit, then the "other" tab and specify the path.

    Hmm, I have never used the installer package personally. Have you tried downloading the zip version and testing that?
