  1. lol yeah, i have dabbled with it on 2 or 3 occasions, and ditched it every time.
  2. There is a checkbox on the last page of the wizard to force import as mame if you are not using mame as the emulator also.
  3. 3) 3D boxes work just fine i use them myself, however some views in some themes are hardcoded to show a specific image type, however this can usually be changed quite easily by editing the theme code, for example changing "Boxes" to "3D Boxes" in the code for views that don't allow switching in the UI. 3B) The folder structure in Launchbox is likely different to Batocera, but you should be able to copy the contents of the directory's to the relevant Launchbox folder. Edit: Ninja'd by @Retro808
  4. I am using Retroarch here and it's working just fine for me. What emulator are you using and do you have a link to it, and ill test it on my setup.
  5. Now i'm confused, why are you trying to import if you already have a xml? Do either or, use the old xml, or do a fresh import without it. Well i have never seen that happen before, i can't speak for other users but i checked the box to skip them, and they were skipped.
  6. That depends on what you want imported, only you will know what you want, i personally skipped adult, fruit, etc.
  7. Worked just fine for me. What MAME set do you have?
  8. The MAME importer is just fine, what games do you think you are missing?
  9. Yeah that is what i was saying Anyone downloading AeonNoxDiff pack will receive a error due to that missing file at the moment.
  10. One little note, i originally downloaded the update version rather than the full theme as i already had it, and it threw errors related to grilla's weather plugin. I just checked the update version and that plugin is not in the update pack, so that would explain the error i received i guess?
  11. I just tried it on 8.0 beta 2, working fine here.
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dreamcast_games, most of those. I personally love 4 Wheel Thunder, and that's dreamcast only as far as i know.
  13. If you go to your Launchbox/Themes folder there should be a pdf in there on how to create/edit themes.
  14. Yeah that sounds like you are not using the MAME importer and are just importing MAME as standard roms which would be why the bios files are being imported.
  15. If you haven't changed any of the emulators associated with retroarch then it is trying to load the wrong core, or trying to load a core you haven't downloaded in retroarch. My guess is the first though, go to tools/manage emulators, double click retroarch and go to the associated systems tab and find super nintendo, it probably says snes9xnext core you need to change that to the actual core you are using.
  16. I have moved this thread to the Games Database/Troubleshooting section.
  17. I havent tested that, but it should work fine, just as long as your manually added platform is named differently.
  18. You could run the steam importer and tell it just to download videos in the wizard, then delete the system from launchbox after the import and move the videos to the folder you are using for your manually imported steam games.
  19. You can try this, it's Version 2 of the Critical Zone theme, and has a version without the video background (you want the "BackgroundFanartOnly" Version).
  20. No that wont delete your roms, it's just warning you that you wont be able to play them anymore. If you go to tools/options there is a checkbox to allow deleting roms as well, but that should be unchecked by default.
  21. Hmm then i'm afraid i am out of ideas, the only thing i could suggest now is to delete the platform and re-import using Retroarch as the Emulator from the start (you would need to check the force importing this system as MAME on the last window of the wizard to make sure it imports as arcade), this will be quite a quick process as i assume you already have all the images and such, so you can uncheck all of them in the wizard, so it should only take a few minutes to import this time.
  22. Hi and welcome to the community. Yes that is very easy to do, first download that pack here, Then you just need to copy the images to the correct folder, this will take some time as they have to be done individually. Just go to Launchbox/Images/Platforms/"name of platform"/Banners and drop your image there. The image needs to be named "Exactly" as it is named in launchbox, and you will need to go to Options/Image Cache in Bigbox and refrest the images for them to show up.
  23. Is Launchbox installed in your Dropbox only? Because the Games\Arcade is a relative path only, so if you have Launchbox installed to your desktop for example as well it will be looking there for the games not your Dropbox. If however you have Launchbox only in your Dropbox folder then the games inside of your Launchbox folder there then that all looks correct.
  24. That sounds like Launchbox itself can't find your Roms, have you moved them since you imported your platform? I use MAME for my arcade games but i just downloaded and setup the fbalpha core to test, and i have my options the same as your first image of the three, i just right clicked and opened with Retroarch and the game worked first time, so i think you have Retroarch setup correctly by looking at your images.
