  1. MAME does support button combos, if you look at the bottom of this shot you will see i have 2 buttons set to "UI CANCEL" this is actually the select and B buttons on my mayflash arcade stick, so i hold back/select then press b to exit MAME. The "insert coin" can also be added to any button you want, it's in the "input general/other controls" section of the tab menu.
  2. All the button mappings for MAME are set in the MAME ui itself, just press tab to open it.
  3. That specific controller although bluetooth is not a standard bluetooth controller. You will also need to get the 8bitdo wireless dongle to connect it to a PC otherwise you have to keep it as a wired controller on PC. I personally have this 8bitdo one, which is full bluetooth and is detected by windows as a xinput controller. If you buy a bluetooth 8bitdo N64 controler it may or may not interfere with your button mappings on the snes one, it will depend on the ID that the N64 one has, and weather it uses xinput or not because if they both show as "xinput controllers" in windows they probably will conflict with button mapping. Edit: Ill tag @Retro808 here as i believe he has experience with those specific controllers.
  4. No probs, and welcome to the community.
  5. No probs, unfortunately not on lowering the video. That is simply as that view is designed for 4:3 aspect ratio videos, and you are using a 16:9 aspect ratio one so it is squeezing it into that window, the only way around that is to get some 4:3 platform videos.
  6. Go to options/Videos and uncheck background videos.
  7. lol, yeah i know, but Alpha Protocol is the only one of those i have played, and i personally think it's better than that score, hence i was agreeing with your point.
  8. Hi @Jason Carr i have been downloading some recorded hyperspin themes from emumovies today which i have placed in the "Theme" folder inside of the relative platform video folder, i have then checked the "Prefer theme videos" in the Bigbox options, but they are not showing for me as i still get the standard gameplay video snaps, bug? or have i missed something? Thank's.
  9. Awesome thank's so much, it really is appreciated. I'll be in touch.
  10. Ah OK, thank's @circo, i thought they were there when i first started messing with Launchbox, but i'm obviously mistaken. Thank's for clearing that up though.
  11. lol, i just had to google what that is.
  12. Well it's 1:00am here and i'm off to bed bed in a minute, so you have free reign until the morning.
  13. Yeah i'm not seeing them, but i only have a free account there.
  14. That depends on the theme, some themes will show a image and a video on the same screen, others will only show the video as a background which would fill the whole screen, some will show a video if its available, but default to a image if a video doesn't exist.
  15. Have manuals been removed from the free emumovies downloads in the wizard? I'm sure they used to be there but i'm not seeing them, are they emumovies premium only now?
  16. Hi and welcome to the comunity. In your launchbox folder should be a video folder and inside that a Platform folder. Name the video the same as the platform and drop it in there.
  17. Yeah that is a unextracted MAME.exe if ever i have seen one.
  18. There was possibly a difference between PAL and NTSC resolutions also.
  19. The mercury versions emulate specific chips that came in the cartridges to add certain functions to games, (think starfox, mario Kart) the standard versions you need to provide those chip dumps yourself. As for the performance, balanced, accuracy they are just that, if you have a powerful system then accurate would be the best version, but it needs a high clocked cpu, balanced is nearly as accurate but uses less cpu, and performance is again less accurate than the other two but uses less cpu than the others.
  20. Ooh, a 16:9 version of that might be nice, with the game view copied to a platform view as well.
  21. Ha ha, I just watched the video and still didn't clock that.
