  1. That's cool, we are here to help if needed.
  2. OK close Launchbox, and go to Launchbox/data and delete those .xml from there. you can not delete that category, the handheld category is built in, you can make and rename others but can not remove it.
  3. OK now I'm even more confused, you are correct there is already a platform category called handhelds and that is what you should be adding those systems to. Ok You have a handhelds2 there now with all your handhelds???
  4. lol that spreadsheet is probably using more space on your PC than the whole 2600 collection though.
  5. And I say that as a person not from the USA, I'm a PAL territory person but the USA games run faster so that's what I import as primary, then I mop up other regions.
  6. Agreed but I personally just import the USA roms, then any that I know were pal exclusive. I have all the games on my drive I just don't import them to launchbox, and I purposely do not import the JAP games unless there is a really good reason to like battle gaidan tetris on snes.
  7. Hmm, then i'm confused. My advice would be to delete those handheld platforms and re-import them, this will only take a couple of minutes as you can uncheck all the media downloads as you already have it all.
  8. Hi and welcome to the community. Ok first thing first will your games load OK if you just load them through retroarch?
  9. Click on the dropdown top left and switch it to platforms, then right click the platform that is missing and choose edit, in that window that opens there should be a dropdown to choose what category it should be in, select handhelds.
  10. Welcome to the community, and nice username I personally pick and choose what I want for cd based systems due to space concerns. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can offer you up some sort of tool though.
  11. This specific path is for elite dangerous vr that I just found online, but I guess its the correct location just minus the specific game. Game installation folder -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Oculus\Software\frontier-developments-plc-elite-dangerous\ So I would look there first.
  12. And as for the theme that's Cityhunter. And the videos are James Baker's and can be downloaded from within Launchbox if you have the premium version.

Those are James Baker's platform videos, they are available to download from within Launchbox if you have the premium version. Just go to tools/download platform/playlist videos, they are the ones called Big Box Cinematix.
  14. This is because you are using Vikings videos, you need some standard platform videos, which are just 4;3. This theme uses still images taken from those videos, then your platform videos are overlayed into the correct location to make it appear as though they are on the TV/Arcde cabinet.
  15. If so set your region, then rescrape your boxes.
  16. there is a region preference in tools/options/region priorities. Check the one you want move it to the top of the list, then go back and refresh your images.
  17. Also you can go to options/image cache and refresh wheels.
  18. They are downloaded during import unless you unchecked them.
  19. Yep what @Retro808 said all "Themes" have several "views" and they all have that text view by default, you can switch the view through options/view or set it to a controller button/keyboard button and switch on the fly.
  20. Yeah the game description would have to be in English I'm afraid, the reason for this is a lot of other language speakers also usually speak a little English, as well as there native language. Where as if it was in Italian only Italians or Italian speakers would be able to read it.
  21. Discord is a text and voice program, it is mostly used by gamers to chat during games, but it can be used by anyone for anything. Launchbox has a official channel there with main channel, support channel, database channel etc. Here is the link to it. As for uploading to the database, you could use this Launchbox plugin which automates uploading your data for specifics games to the database, just drop it in the plugin folder then you can right click a game and choose upload to datatbase. The data will still have to be looked over by our moderators before it is approved but would be quicker than adding images and info one by one.
  22. Well you could have both with the theme folder, so a normal snap and a theme video. Obviously you could not have both of those in the standard video folder as they would be named the same and if you tried adding one it would ask you to overite the other, so this is how its handled, and there is a option in bigbox to prioritize the theme videos over the standard snaps. Edit, And yeah what @DOS76 said.
  23. The theme folder is for the James Baker game videos that can be downloaded during import, they are not strictly speaking game video snaps as they are custom made, so they go into a separate theme folder.
