  1. If you go into your Launchbox/Updates folder you should see the installer for 7.12 just install into the excact same folder over the top of your current instal.
  2. I would hazard a guess that mcafee quarantined it as its such a new file. What I would do is reinstall Launchbox 7.12 directly over the top of your current install, then add a exception in mcafee for launchbox and bigbox.
  3. Do you have another PC you can plug your drive into and check it there?
  4. Do you have full read and write access to your external drive?
  5. OK, if it's local then he shouldn't have any permission errors then, especially if it's still in the same location as it was before the Windows upgrade.
  6. Ah, cheers dos. Just assumed a network drive as it was Z, I did ask that in my initial reply but it wasn't answered.
  7. As I said I don't think there is anything wrong with Launchbox itself, that is a windows permissions error Launchbox itself should be fine still. Is the drive on another PC? you may need to add new permissions as it may be blocking access since your windows upgrade. I am going to tag @DOS76 here as he is more knowledgeable than me with using Launchbox with network drives and such.
  8. That doesn't look like a launchbox error to me, it looks more like a Windows permissions error, is your Launchbox on a network drive? as I see its got the drive letter Z.

    layout help

Ok, there is a lot here so lets do the easy ones first then attack the others. The music track pop up box can be disabled by going to Options/Sound/enable onscreen music display and disabling it. As for you platform logos not displaying have you gone to Options/Image cache and refreshed platform images? The consoles logo appearing at the top is a feature of the theme, as is the wheel fading out. If you want totally full screen platform videos you will have to live with that ,or swap to a different view in the theme. I personal use the view below, not fullscreen but still a good size. Also I see in your final image of your file system that you have it setup rather strangely, you shouldn't have a folder called "customicons" launchbox will not no to look there all your clear logos should be in themename/images/platform/clearlogo or theme/images/playlist/clearlogo. So you can try the suggestions here, and if you have any further issues or questions just post back I am more than happy to help.
  10. Yeah pretty much, feel free to click help and support at the top of the page and request it, although it's probably already been requested so maybe search and if you find a active feature request vote on that one.
  11. Yeah I am not sure exactly what list version it is using, but it is pretty old. It needs to actually be coded into Launchbox, you can't just drop a newer list into a folder unfortunately. Jason needs to actually add a newer version to the program on his end.
  12. Launchbox is using a older MAME game list, that's why you see no new games added. It does really need updating though.

That's bigbox playing audio of the selected game, if you downloaded game music from emu movies or have your own, you can enable that in options/sound.
  14. The different region games are the additional apps that is asking you if you want to delete.
  15. Have you tried using that same bios file in Retroarch? Does it work there?
  16. No its fine you wont lose anything, the program will prompt you to update just say yes. It will download, close, update then reopen.
  17. Ah, well there has been no announcement, but..........
  18. does the i5 have hyperthreading? Not much use for emulation but may be handy for general desktop programs.
  19. You may need a codec pack if you have webm videos for your steam games. WMP wont play them natively.
  20. Tools/download platform/playlist videos, for the platform cinematix.
  21. Also deleting them will not delete any of the images you downloaded, they will all still be in the Images/Arcade folder.
  22. Correct, they are not platforms but playlists, just keep the Arcade one but delete the rest.
  23. You can right click and delete those as they are playlists. Or you can go to your Launchbox/Data/Playlist folder and delete from there.
