Now that Launching Views are themeable in LaunchBox for Android, I was playing around with making a bunch of them. I will be using this post for any extra Launching Views that I made that don't quite fit into a particular theme. Therefore, this download will only add my collection of Launching Views to LaunchBox for Android that are not tied to any theme. When I come up with an idea for another Launching View, I will update this file with it. What's Included Big Logo - Influenced by Surhvivors great Startup Theme for Big Box Pure Color - Dynamically changing colors inspired by the Colorful theme by Viking Installation Instructions Extract the [theme folder] from zip file (Make sure you do not create a second folder while extracting, creating a [theme folder]\[theme folder]\files situation). Place folder on your Android device, inside of the LaunchBox\Themes folder. In LaunchBox for Android, navigate to intended Game View and click on the top-right menu button and select View Settings. Find Launching View and select a new one from the menu. -

Based on your screenshot, it looks similar to problematic integrated graphics cards. Certain integrated graphic drivers have issues with WPF programs. I believe it's caused by their hardware acceleration mode, which you can disable but does require messing with the registry. I would definitely make sure you have the latest graphic drivers from the manufacturer. Some people have said it helped when they did that.

Yeah, after the page renders, it would require a storyboard to say "at this time make this go away and make this appear". That's where the limitation is with Xamarin.Forms.

It's a remnant of an old keyboard view file. Deleting the keyboard view file for those problematic themes should solve your issue with them. You can find it in: LaunchBox\Themes\[theme name]\Views\KeyboardView.xaml

Good to know that migrated well to the Odin. Sounds like a good idea, however Xamarin.Forms doesn't actually have native animation support, so we may be stuck there at the moment.

The old default theme was not really made to support resolution sizes this low. The new default design keyboard should better support it (although I haven't tested), so what you could try is make a copy of the Old Default theme folder inside of LaunchBox\Themes. Call the theme whatever you like. Now in your newly created theme delete the following file: LaunchBox\Themes\[theme name]\Views\KeyboardView.xaml Now load up Big Box and switch to your new theme.

Big Box - Crashing while in attract mode

At this point, there are things that you can do on your end that could help out with attract mode crashing: Use VLC instead of WMP. WMP has a known memory leak that can crop up after a prolonged period of time when using Attract mode. You could have certain types of videos that are partially corrupted, or in a deprecated file format (like flv), that could be causing the crash. -
If you are referring to images within the wheel, it's because of the image cache. You'll need to clear it in order to see your changes reflected. Find the setting in Options > Image Cache.

The CTC is looking for images like 2.8.png If that's not working for you, then it's most likely just a configuration issue that you'll have to solve within the CTC itself. A lot of people have shared their CTC project files that you can use to learn from if you are having issues with getting it to display. Here's one that seems to have star rating images as part of it:

Are you coding the theme yourself, or using the CTC?

This is unfortunately theme specific. Go into LaunchBox\Themes\[theme name]\Views and delete the KeyboardView.xaml file. The theme should then fall back to the new keyboard.

The icons in that theme should just show up. Make sure you go into Tools > Manage LaunchBox Themes Chose Default Plus, downloaded any updates, and apply the theme.

I don't think there's a specific property for this. You could instead either fade out the video or fade in the image after a certain amount of time using animations. Add the StretchVideo property to the coverFlow:FlowVideo element. A good resource for this is the Documentation.pdf file found inside your LaunchBox\Themes folder.

Each emulator that you choose needs to have some kind of exit hotkey option. In Dolphin MMJR, you can go into Settings > Interface, and you'll find a System Back hotkey. This should accomplish what you are wanting to do.
