Hey Folks, Updated Launchbox to 8.6 - imported MAME 201 Merged. Now, when I go to my CP1 system ** which is not part of my MAME upload, a separate emulator launch from MAME and a different set of roms - boxes don't appear - only titles. When I click on a title Launchbox crashes with the following error: Could it be a conflict with the same roms in MAME folder? Actually happening with my CAVE entry as well - which uses different roms too.

Hey Folks, I'm trying to find a full set of Nintendo Entertainment System 3D cases in the jewel/DVD case style shown below. My collection is incomplete. I have many but I have no idea where they came from (either colpipes work or Launchbox metadata scrape). I'm trying to use them for my 3D NES console section. Any help would be appreciated.

BigBox - Select Random Game Feature fixed by "Wheel Spin"
Mr.Laor replied to FreeSoftwareServers's topic in Features
Amazing progress on this plugin. This should come with LB / Bigbox!!! Two quick questions: 1) When I hold left I get the plugin to load but I also get the alphabet - letter filter option come up. Is there a way to set the alphabet filter to only show up if I press left? 2) I'm a little confused how to toggle game details in plugin window. Any help? I've checked the included file, sorry to say, still don't get it. Thanks- 167 replies

Bumping for some help

Hey Folks, Hoping for some understanding. 1) When I check the size of my image folder, it states the size is 86 gigs but the size on disk is 546 gigs. Can someone explain why they are so significantly different? Is that normal (5X the size)? Is there a way to reduce it? 2) What happens if I delete the contents of my cache folder (in my image folder)? Pros? Cons? Thanks

They look great. I'd there any chance to have a version that doesn't say backup disc?

The Best of Nintendo - A combination of playlist and theme View File I present a labor-of-love. It is a project that I have been working on for a while. It is part-theme and part-playlist. Basically, it's a historical look through Nintendo's console history with playlists designed to capture the best of every release (in 20, 50, and 100 game lists). Included in the zip file are customized clear logos, XML playlist files, and downloaded Youtube commercials. The Best of Nintendo - Please check out the video and let me know what you think. Notes: *I started by aggregating data into spreadsheets for each console. Based upon review scores, polls, and web lists, I created my own lists of the best, most important, successful, or under-appreciated games for each console. Spreadsheets with sources here. Best of Nintendo Home Consoles Best of Handheld Consoles If you feel these lists are criminally incorrect, please let me know. *I created clear logos for each playlist. I used a variety of sources from the web and the clear logo collection in the Unified theme pack as starting resources. I haven't used Photoshop in quite a while, but it was fun getting back into it. If you have any requests or suggestions regarding the logos, please let me know. *Then I scoured Youtube seeking interesting and funny commercials for each platform. Clearly, I could not find many of them in high quality. For many videos, I had to edit out intros or outros. Apologies to original uploaders for not giving proper credit. If anyone has suggestions or higher quality versions of these commercials, please let me know. *Grabbed general console information from Wikipedia - slight editing. *Used a combination of the excellent Unified theme, Coverbox theme, Famicom theme , and BG Clean theme for the game lists. *Obviously Game & Watch is not a real top 10 - I'm still waiting on Mame to start emulating some of the more popular releases. *Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are limited to top 20 for now. Also waiting for emulation to catch up with these newer platforms. *Big thanks to Colpipes78 for the great set-ups, implementing Rocket Launcher, media, roms, and making my life (and many others) a thousand times easier. I hope some of you find parts of it useful. Next - Sega or Sony? Submitter Mr.Laor Submitted 07/13/2018 Category Playlists & Playlist Media

Not Launchbox but I don't know who else to ask :-(

Also had a similar problem, deleting the cores worked the first time, second time had to replace/ reinstall the files. Not too difficult with Retroarch -
bumping this - any help would be appreciated. I tried experimenting with the platform views in notepad but had little success.

Quick question, Is there a way to keep the wheels visible longer before they fade out? I'd like to extend the time a bit.

Hey folks? Is there a way to see all the games on a platform as an option in addition to the different devices. For instance: Platform : Consoles All Games Atari 2600 Nintendo Entertainment System .....etc

Hey, this might be useful for Sega consoles: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ksBmsFaLhv1ngK2xDJAai_ollUfukWqZeltlcXv8prQ/edit?usp=sharing

8.3 unstable and broke image links for NES and SNES
Mr.Laor replied to zarkingfrood's topic in Troubleshooting
I will say that i am getting slow down scrolling through game libraries in big Box. Inconsistent. Will check again tonight -
The list now contains Playstation 1, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3. Just a reminder - these are not my favorites - they are the "best" games according to the aggregated data I compiled to create the lists. All sources listed in the spreadsheet.
-
I've updated the spreadsheet to include Sony Playstation 2 as well.
-
Just added three new playlists for the NES in the playlists section. Top 10% (72 games) Top 20% (143 games) Top 25% (180 games)

The main help I need is editing. Finding incorrect titles, standardizing formats, double-checking console game counts (at the top). That's it for now. I have a bunch more I'm working on - nearly done with Sony PS1, 2, and 3
