I had same issue at the first launch. So, I have quitted and relaunched...all solved...dont know what happened.

I have a similar interest in that. I have inserted in my collection some Videogames magazine, anime, music video, cracktro, manuals, and game music. All these have not media that I can download, so I build them myself. Anyway, sometimes, there are some post in download section that have similar media. And some years ago, there was a plugin that could scrape media and info aboout movies. I dont think it work now, dunno. But I think that if you want to share something...you can do it! Posting artwork, dvd box, flyer and posters, fan media should be appropriated. We have a forum full of this things, haven't we?

Hey @Lordmonkus you have helped me a lot! I have searched a little following you (hyperspin rename tool, then Launchbox rename media tool) and I have found that Launchbox can read media file that are named like the rom LB title AND rom file! So I am just copying in the right dir to show them. Later I'll use media clean tool to remove the duplicated video Thanks again for the tip!

The video files are named like the file rom not how LB name them. So...there is a way to update the filename according to the name of the roms? So I can use them in my LB/BB? Or...I have to do manually? thank you!

Onsalo, to make you an example, what Retro is telling you is very important. But to understand it you have to get the difference between "playlist" and "platform" concepts, that in the beginning are not so clear. Maybe you already know that, but it is an example on how much are important the word that here are used. Ok, I'll go back to study phylosophy... sorry for the disgression

Yes, I can understand you very well. It is some years that I am using this software, and I have learned a lot, but I am a total noob yet. It's not my work so I tend to forget what I have learned. But it is the reason for which I use it, because it is very simple and slowly you can learn a lot and the result is great! So, keep on using it and try to watch some tutorial or try to do simple changes. Explore the option menu in BigBox, there are tons of option but at start only few are really important and impacting.

Retro808, sorry, but to " run the Mame full set importer again" I have to previously delete all the arcade playlists and arcade platform that I had, right?

When you want to setup up different themes in BigBox you have to: 1) install different themes- there is a section in BB to download some (in options), or you can manually add it if you find one here in the download section. 2) After you have installed the themes, you have to set the button to change themes and view. For examples I use a classic joypad and I have set L3 and R3 for this. 3) you have to scroll your BB menu, enter the platform or the playlist that you want to change and then...change the theme or the view using the sette buttons. When you have found what you want you have finished, because BB saves the configuration automatically when you exit I remember that there was a tutorial video, but I dont remember where Jason spoke about that, sorry. I know that are simple questions but it is difficult to find all details and now that I have a very big collection, for me, with a lot of manual adjustment in picture or setting, I am afraid to make a mess. I usually prefer to touch nothing! But it is time to get a new MAME set rom with the new playlists, and deleting is the best way to arrange that, it seems. Thank you very much for your time! Hi, just trying to resolve a problem. If I delete a category platform, all the platforms and playlists that are under his branch keep on existing, right? When I delete a normal platform, all the roms are removed from LB/BB database? The roms media are still kept? If I delete a platform or playlist media related to playlist and platform are deleted or are kept? (clear logo, marque, platform video etc) ty very much!

I dont know if I have understood, but you can set different themes and different views for each platform. So you can view Ps2 with only video and in GBA you can show a 3D boxes for example

Hi all With the new feature, that help to import Mame set, it change something? How to update playlists? The update feature works only for mame emu or for the full set? ty!

Sorry for the question. Your Daphne and American Laser are set as playlists or platforms? I see that you wrote playlist, but only to be sure. I want to reimport my Mame and I have under "Arcade" Daphne also, as platform. But I dont want to have problems while doing that...so I am just asking TY!

Yeah, I use this solution for FM-Towns, with Daemon lite and it works. There is a guide to FM-Towns here on the forum that handle that, maybe can be used to have more details.

Hey guys! I love you all! I love my LB/BB setup! I love this software! I believe all the community is doing an awesome work! In these years I have added platforms, playlists, new media, new games. LB/BB have awesome features, and I know only few of them. I have added also magazines, games soundtracks. With the playlists video I have created a new way to explore the videogame culture. I can compare different versions of the same product, I can discover products that I didn't know! I believe that playlists are very important to enjoy the game world. At the moment I have 91k roms (9k are only C64 cracktro...they are marvellous!) and I'd like to have more playlist video to expand my view on the games! Yes, I am like a child at lunapark! When I want to play I use LB, but when I want to explore my gaming world I launch BB and I stay a lot of time seeing video, intros... I can edit or change a lot of things if I dont like them! I can change a logo or I search for a banner to use the secondo monitor. I have put trailer for some games, or tv commercial for some playlists. I try to follow the community tips and download what I find in the download section, there is a world to explore and it is awesome! Every time that I have asked something, someone has always replied me, helping me! And I need a lot of help! 🤣 This software is GREAT and you all are even better! My time spent dreaming in the gaming is so precious, it recharges me and make me happy to return to my works, to my duties. So, thank you! Thank you to all! Ok, time to go to create a new playlists!

How I was telling you, I have corrected the path using LB tool BUT intros are divided in different dir, depending of the initial letter of filename (a,b,c...) and the plugin import metadata changing name, so the file 2Lc becomes Two live Crew and I have changed all the "path rom" with initial number pointing to dir with numbers....so I missed a lot of roms that have changed names due to metadata. Maybe I should delete all the entry from LB and then reimport all I'll not copy the images...I prefer to MOVE them to the right folder manually. Gamebase'll not read them, but I am interested in LB

I think that the plugin takes only the first one, under the header, how you have specified. Next time I'll delete it. So I think it is the same for the pictures. How you see I have imported the introbase64 v02 I want to import Amiga_demobase_version 3.... I bet I'll have more problems. But I'll do it slowly 🤣
