Duckstation border overlay UltraWide and 1080p

Values represent pixels. 1. One way to do it is with Paint.Net open your image point to top left corner of bezel starting point and look at bottom right corner of P.N where it says X/Y that is starting point. Move mouse down to bottom right end of image bezel and look at point values again. That is end point. -Problem with this is that it only gives basic points. Because duckstation stretches on specific formats 4:3,16:9 etc. So your bezel needs to adhere to that format. -This values are also not perfectly correct due to formatting. You will need to do some manual correction. 2. Start a game any game in duck , Open settings in duckstation and leave it open. Now make DS fullscreen. Alt/Tab to settings tab. Click custom , load your bezel and start clicking and writing values in custom tabs to move and reposition image. Look at image i attached as guideline One of easiest ways to get proper empty space in your bezel is to take screenshot of the game in fullscreen (without bezel) and add to image editing tool as overlay on top of your bezel, position it to perfect center. Cut space in your bezel where screenshot image is and in theory it should fit P.S There is a bug in duck with Export button in border. It will write ImagePath: instead of Image: inside .YML file. So edit the file and change that -

Duckstation finally added border overlay! Here is UltraWide and 1080p BO for it It uses @Mr. RetroLust Lights out TV. So all Thanks to him! NO GUI Does NOT support loading shaders or overlay! duckstation-nogui-x64-ReleaseLTCG Only this does duckstation-qt-x64-ReleaseLTCG Extract and copy folder "resources" to duckstation folder. 1. Click wheel (settings in duckstation) -post processing-border overlay and select overlay 2a /2b PSX_ULTRAWIDE_3440X1440_16x9 2a. Click Graphics -Aspect ratio -16:9 (Set game graphics aspect ratio 16:9) PSX_1080pxPAR1x1 2b. Click Graphics -Aspect ratio PAR 1:1 (set game aspect ratio PAR 1:1 should fit all 1080p resolutions tested on 1920x1080) 3. Please select default overscan (only overscan area) Done New V3 are different files. Feel free to delete old resource files. Duckstation made changes how overscan works and old overlay no longer fits. This update fixes that. V4 FIX IMPORTANT! Duck offers 2 different scalers. Integrer and non-integrer (graphic settings-scaling) Default is non-integrer *(Smooth) If that is your preference then select SMOOTH overlay. Image will NOT FIT if wrong scaler is used. Match scaler to overlay For different resolutions use "custom" and tinker with values Preview Shaders setup i used, in case someone is interested. Smooth vs integrer scaler difference. Your preference , but overlay must match your scaler choice! -

There is a bug in image replacing/refresh in new LB I remove specific image, OK. Press refresh selected. All good so far. Now i add new image , OK (refresh or not doesnt matter here, its always the same). Now click (loop sign to check media above game) and instead of showing new image it shows image i deleted instead a new one. And it will keep showing it until i restart LB. Image in my case was 3d box image. P.S it doesnt happen every time. But it happens on some games as if there is a bug in logic Example: Image in preview on right is showing new image. But game media shows Old image

Yup, i look at game in LB, change to another and suddenly that game shows only black screen with audio playing. I Switch to other games back and forth , back and forth and after few times videos shows. I did not experience that before (i didnt check LB since summer) so about same time as you. Sometimes video is not black but instead it is cut down to 1/10th of the size and displayed in a small corner... P.S I think it might be theme issue actually. Default one. I was using default plus before i didnt see that happening there P.P.S It's not the theme. Just happened out of blue on another theme

Thanks! Crash when changing emulator is fixed with beta2. However i get very often errors on clear logos When ever i edit game metadata . clear logo pops error in 99% of the time. I am not sure if that is the Theme problem or LB? It feels that theme didnt unlock resource properly and it gets locked. Process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. It only happens on clear logos I am using Default plus , LB theme P.S As suggestion for game checker, maybe it would be prudent to add option to only scan for specific extensions. And ignore everything else? LB can surely check which extensions already exist in that platform and only check for those?

Hello! I am experiencing problem with changing emulator in game options. LB freezes and eventually crashes. I tried multiple systems. Click to open list , select new emulator and LB just freeze.

Maybe you could do this by introducing 'mixer'? example: second part of tool, in which you can do above, select choice "background + X(logo?)" and produce mix of it. it would be a simple call to both elements from launchbox with lets say style : fade or others? its base what themes are already doing Then on main app window just give option to inject that in the list.

Platform video issues after updating to 12.14

Hello. Version 13.11 (latest up to this moment) This is still happening. Transition->Platform video transition (Fade or fade quick) video wont resume when returning to platform. Rotate horizontal triangle works. Video resumes normally. -

LB/BB manual viewer could definitely use and overhaul. Tried using manual from pause theme and ..yeah it was less then acceptable. Archive org has absolutely fabulous viewer for game manuals. It looks like a book , its simply perfect. Oh i finally got it. U used action "immediately" and set to negative axis to prevent texture popin on screen when they should have been hidden. Then just aligned timers to match for every other. That was my problem, they all kept appearing on screen then disappearing and reappearing again when animation starts. Even if i tell them to start off screen they still pop in middle of screen. That is my problem. Its not in it. I went as deep as trying to track down process writing , but i couldnt figure out which file stores information about themes per platform. Everything goes into temp files but none actual xml's are written. And neither of files in data stores any info about current theme per platform setting. -

Yes i am using latest beta. But that's not what i wanted to ask. I probably wasn't clear enough , sorry about that. Like this, right now i have sistems and everything is set. Some sistems use two different theme , some platform uses two different theme too. Now i were to change everything to new theme and then i want to switch back, how do i do that? Lets say my collections games uses WheelGamesView from one theme , while platform uses another. I would lose all that if i try new theme, so if i want to revert how do i do that? -
Hey there. I tried finding such but with no luck. How BB stores info and where is it stored, BB themes per platform? If one wanna try different theme it would break all theme setup , so are there files somewhere so i can restore my BB themes back to before testing new theme? I have few systems that utilize two different themes and its annoying to try different theme and then have to restore manually my themes back again. Thanks
