+1 to that idea.

It would be very appreciated if you could upload all the stuff from your website in LaunchBox friendly packages here in the forum download section, GoogleDrive, MEGA, Zippyshare, or whatever you want.

This would be much more user friendly and could save you a lot of a bandwidth :)

Alright, so how do we divide this thing up? I don't want a bunch of unnecessary duplicate uploads happening. How about we each claim a part that we feel comfortable being the ones uploading?

I can do clear logos if you want (I've been doing them for SNES in my free time anyway.)

Sorry this is taking so long, unfortunately at the moment my internet connection is not great. So it will be slow until somebody completes the whole torrent unfortunately.

EDIT

Whoops nevermind... looks like it finally woke up and is uploading to a couple people rapidly.

Are you actively seeding the torrent? Because it's dead on my end.

Alright, I guess I'm doing it all, since no one else chimed in...

Well, the clear logos are done, so don't bother with them.

And I'm not gonna bother doing banners, sorry. I hate banners. If someone else wants to, that's the only way it's getting done.

Thanks for your hard work Fisty! I appreciate it.

I am working on Gameboy now but this will take MUCH longer... there's not much good source art out there for it. A lot of Cover Project's stuff is completely wrong and I'm having to try to catch it as I go. There are scans of sealed games elsewhere which I'll probably just have to use which is good because they're not marked on but bad because the plastic shows up along the edges of the boxes. Better than nothing I guess.

Yeah I'm not doing banners on Gameboy, with NES it was easy.

Thank you so much for that torrent! How is that MobyGames API thing going btw? wouldn't that fix most of the issues with lack of covers or low quality ones?

any chance someone can seed the torrent??? Trying to dl now, but just crickets and tumbleweed...

If someone can give me the latest torrent and get it seeded initially, I'd be happy to throw it on my Seedbox and let it run forever. I have an impressive connection and bandwidth is a non issue.

I was aware Jason was the only dev but I didn't realize there weren't people behind the scenes dedicated to handling the other aspects, emails and posts made it seem that way to me. That paints a totally different picture and makes me appreciate how good LaunchBox is against other front ends.

Of course, if I can provide what I have dug up as replacements I have no problem doing it. I'll have to look that up.

Yeah, it is just us normal folk uploading stuff to the Database. A couple of weeks ago, myself and another user (diamondgeezer) whom I didn't know at the time (until I posted this thread

were working on the ZX Spectrum section. I started going through the games starting from the beginning, trying to source covers and other bits, and diamondgeezer then used some online tools to convert what I was uploading into 3D images. This was on a Saturday night when I should be out chasing crumpet / skirt / poonani.  I tried to get the best images I could find, but with these older systems sometime beggars can't be choosers. You are probably already aware of this with MS-DOS media. I have no art skills whatsoever so I don't know how to sharpen images or anything like that.

Anyway, I didn't wish this to be a back slapping post. Just a small example of what effort goes into the LaunchBox Database and what type of folk work on it. Just us users. It's a team effort.
