  1. Santa's Accident

This is Christmas holiday theme. It's more of a novelty theme I suppose, since it won't be used all the time. I haven't seen one and my grandson asked me to make one for him.
It starts up as to be looking out a window on a cold, windy and snowy day when Santa appears and has a bad day with the weather and his reindeer.
It contains a little bit of video vintage footage of the "Lost Toys" from Rudolph and Frosty as well in some of the TVs used in the different views
    Video:
If you want a little holiday spirit in your gaming setup at this time of year, check it out.
Since it is seasonal, I only did a couple different views. If there is enough interest, I may add more views to it.
Thanks to @y2guru for making it so easy and sharing CTC. If you haven't tried it, you should, I through this together yesterday. (can't wait for 2.3)
    Seasons Greetings!
    -Enjoy

Just a simple theme created with the Community Theme Creator to share. This does require a lot of artwork that is not included and should already be downloaded to look its best. I don't plan to make any changes or additions. Hope you enjoy!

The new LaunchBox update is here, and with it comes many new Big Box theming features. The highlight amongst them is a brand new Wall View.
This theme showcases the new wall view by providing 2 inspired views utilizing the new Wall View CoverFlow wheel.
What kind of things can the new CoverFlow wheel do? Download this theme and take a look.

The views use the following artwork:
Clear Logos Screenshots Background Fanart BoxArt - Front Game Videos Don't forget to set your screenshot image priority to screenshot - gameplay.
    Have fun.
Thanks to @PlayingKarrde for clarifying that this theme is loosely based on a couple different themes from the Pegasus frontend.

This was more of a experiment and POC to see how well a Genesis Mini theme could be ported to the Big Box environment. This is not a fully fledge theme, but only 2 views, a basic platform view and a wall games view.
The theme was designed using the COMMUNITY Theme Creator, along with some manual code changes with the wall view file in order to utilize the new wheel CoverFlow features not yet currently in the Theme Creator.

  8. DarkRoom

    Intro
DarkRoom is a theme for BigBox that relies heavily on 1120x1080 fanarts / game illustrations and has been influenced by CoinOps design.
It has been designed for a 16:9 ratio, 1920x1080 resolution, and I know for sure that it displays correctly at 2560x1440.
This theme covers most home systems (around 10 still to be done) + windows indies + a few candy cabs for arcade specific playlist

    This theme has :
    - 1 platform view, which presents a delayed video with random games from the current platform/playlist. That means this theme doesn't need generic platform videos (except for meta category like Arcade, Computers, Consoles, etc ...); also, non auto-populated playlists will not display any video for now.
    - 2 game views: a wheel view and a text game view

    Configuration Files
In "Launchbox\Themes\DarkRoom\Views\Configurations", there are several xaml files (1 for each supported system).
In case one of your system has a different name from the one the theme is using (Example: "Arcade SNK Neo Geo MVS" instead of "SNK Neo Geo MVS"), you can just:
    - copy the xaml file and rename the copy with the name from your collection (or directly rename the original), but from an evolutive point of view, it would be better to create a xaml file "Arcade SNK Neo Geo MVS.xaml" with that inside (to simplify, the content makes it so that "Arcade SNK Neo Geo" inherits "SNK Neo Geo MVS" system)
    <ResourceDictionary xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml">
        <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
            <ResourceDictionary Source="pack://siteoforigin:,,,/Themes/DarkRoom/Views/Configurations/SNK Neo Geo MVS.xaml" />
        </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
    </ResourceDictionary>
    - change the name of the platform fanart / clear logos located in "Launchbox\Themes\DarkRoom\Images\<Platforms or Playlists>\<Fanart or Clear Logo>"

    Performances and cash management
Due to the animation handled by the theme, performance issues had to be addressed to somewhat mitigate them (I personnaly don't have any problem now).
A cash manager has been added to the theme to handle fanart sliding transition
You can configure it (WheelGameView.xaml and PlatformWheel4FiltersView.xaml) by modifying the following lines:
    <rs:ImageSliderControl.ImageManager>
        <rsm:GameImageManager CashEnabled="true" Quality="85" ProcessorCount="4" CashLimit="500"/>
    </rs:ImageSliderControl.ImageManager>
    - Set CashEnabled to false to disabled it
    - Set Quality to your liking (under 50 it becomes ugly, and more that 85 will raise RAM usage significantly)
    - ProcessorCount shouldn't be changed. I let it for testing purpose but will probably suppress it at some point. But if you do, set an even number, less or equal to your physical processor count (AKA without hyperthreading)
    - Set CashLimit (Mo) to your need. Depending on your fanart filesize, you may need to raise it. For my need I will probably raise it to 1000Mo (that should be around 6000 fanarts given the average size of mine).
Also note that cash is cleared every time a new gameview is entered, so you need to set its limit according to the system that has the most games (provided they each have their fanart - for me it is the ZX spectrum).

    Video

    _BB.mp4 Files in Download sections
    - DarkRoom.zip contains main theme files.
    - Fanart - Pack 1.zip, that contains "full" pack of fanarts for the following systems:
I will add more as time comes ...

    Special Thanx
@Rincewind for his time in helping me fix an issue with the theme. I would not have been able to figure out what was wrong alone.

    About This Theme
The original idea I had for this theme was more complex I think but I didn't really like it when I was finished. Instead, I simplified it and tried to make it more clean.
I love the Colorful theme and how it has animation when selecting items and wanted to try something similar without actually copying it straight over.
If you have any suggestion I'm always all ears. The Theme Creator files are also included if you want to make any changes or additions as well.

    Notes
The Original Concept Theme Creator Files are my original design for this theme. If you publish either the dark blue or light blue version in the Theme Creator they are both usable themes. I just wasn't happy with them when they were finished.
The Final Theme Creator Files are the files for the theme I decided to go with and upload.
The No video version just has no background videos playing. The no animations version, has no lock or slide animations and no videos. The theme was changed a little bit so that the menus were still usable.

    Installation
Download the version of the theme you'd like. See the Notes section for a little more information. Extract the .zip files using windows explorer or your program of choice to your Launchbox/Themes folder. Go to theme settings in Big Box and switch to theme you like.
    Special Thanks
I have to give special thanks to @faeran for the wonderful theme creator videos on the Unbroken Software LLC Youtube channel. Also, I used Faeran's ESRB Images and Star Images in the original concept of this theme. Visit the Unbroken Software Youtube Channel Here
I also have to give a huge thank you to @y2guru for the very awesome Theme Creator. I cannot code and so without the theme creator I wouldn't be able to do any of this. Download the Theme Creator Here

  10. Mr C's Arcade

    INTRODUCTION
The arcade in my local hometown mall growing up was called Mr C's. This theme is a tribute to Mr C's, and all the quarters I spent there back in the 80's. I've heard of other Mr C's arcades, but I don't think ours was part of any chain or anything.

Preview.mp4 It may be a vsync issue or something else but the video makes the animations look kind of jerky. The theme actually runs pretty smooth.

    VIEWS
The way to think of this theme is not so much in terms of views, but more like rooms. The rooms are, Main Arcade, Pinball Row, and The Breakroom. If you must think in terms of views, each room has platform views and games views. The only real exception to the rule is the Breakroom also has text games views. This was done in order to render the Games Details Screen.

    INSTALLATION
Download the zip file and unblock it by right clicking the file, go into properties and check the unblock check box and click OK. Once the file is unblocked, extract the folder into ==\Launchbox\Themes\

    SWITCHING BETWEEN THEME VIEWS
In order to see the various games views for the different platforms, you'll need to change to each view. If you set a hotkey within Bigbox (Keyboard Mappings/Controller Mappings - Switch View) to change views, this makes it easy to change views without going into the settings each time.

    CTC FILES
The file titled: Mr Cs Arcade - Theme Builder Files is intended for anyone that wants to tinker with the theme. You'll need to unblock the files the same as how I described above.

    FUTURE UPDATES
As time permits, I'll attempt to keep this theme up to date. Please PM me with any suggestions, or issues you have with the theme.

    CREDIT
Thanks to @y2guru for the most excellent Community Theme Creator upon which this theme is built. @SonicFan53 for the device images which are included in this theme. As always, thanks to @Jason Carr .

  11. Boxed In

    About This Theme
This is my second attempt with the Theme Creator. I tried incorporating some things I"ve learned from the Theme Workshop Videos. I know it's simple but this one took me a while to get where I wanted while learning. I also tried to keep everything more clean this time so if anyone is using the Theme Creator Files they should be easier to navigate than they were in my first one.
If you have any questions, comments, or requests please let me know. My week off work is coming to an end but I will definitely be using the theme creator some more.

    Notes
I created this on a 4k 55" tv at 1440p resolution with 125% display scaling. If you have any issues please let me know so I can try and fix them.

  12. Simply Gray

    Introduction
This is my first attempt with Theme Creator. I have been watching Unbroken Software's Youtube Channel and the Theme Workshop videos. I just want to say that I borrowed heavily from the "Tilt" theme to make this. I initially set out just to try and make a simple wall view but had fun trying to learn some of the different Wheel's and the theme creator stuff.
Just an fyi, I can't code at all so apart from what I used from the Tilt workshop files and the Colorful theme everything was done in the Theme Creator. I will try and give credit for everything that I used below. The theme workshop files have really helped me begin to learn the theme creator and I feel comfortable now that I could probably make a design in Photoshop and recreate it in the Theme Creator.
I initially set out just to try and make myself a simple wall view for the Tilt Theme but had a good time using it to learn.

    Notes
I did all this using a 55" LG 4k TV. I tested out a few different resolutions and didn't notice any problems. If you happen to run into any issues please let me know and I can try and figure out how to fix them. I know what little animation I used might be kind of janky but I will try and get better with that.
I also didn't set any of the image views to play a background video except for a couple of the platform views that play the Colorful Theme. The Game List Text view will play a video and if you click on any game the Game Info Screen will fade out into video as well.
I prefer the Colorful Video by @viking for the platform videos but I think any should look ok.

    Installation
Just download the .zip file for the version of the theme you want. Open the .zip file and place the folder in your Launchbox/Themes folder. OR Use your preferred software to extract it to your Launchbox/Themes folder. Switch between the different views until you find one you might like
    Credits and Special Thanks
I want to give a huge Special Thanks to @faeran and the Unbroken Software Youtube Channel for the Theme Workshop videos. These are a great help. I used the .xaml file from Faeran's "Tilt" theme as well as the theme colors that change on platform switches. I don't know how to code my own .xaml files yet. Download Tilt Here
I also want to give a huge Special Thanks to @viking I changed some of the platform colors around to match up with his Colorful Videos and used the Platform Clear Logo images. I also love the "Colorful" theme and it's a big inspiration. Download Colorful Here
Last but not least I'd like to thank @y2guru for the Community Theme Creator. With my extreme lack of coding ability I wouldn't even be able to play with making themes if it weren't for the Community Theme Creator.  Find it here:

  13. It's Not Called Tate

    INTRODUCTION
I could have called this BigTate, or Hypertaint, LOL. I've settled on It's Not Called Tate for the name because I've always thought calling vertical themes Tate, to be ridiculous. But that's just like my opinion, man.  Anyhow, its kind of a silly take on the HyperTate theme. It doesn't have nearly the animation from the old school HS stuff, but it is what it is. Originally I had these faux video transitions but wow did that ever bog down Bigbox. One video per view is all she can handle it appears.
In the download, you can choose from two different themes. It's Not Called Tate has image transitions which again, aren't really transitions like Hyperspin had because we have no transition options to work with. I call these faux transitions. I spent a good deal of time trying to get something going here and, well, you'll just have to judge for yourself. The transitions are basically slowed down animation sequences with a slightly quicker "transition" image that flashes right before the main image comes on. It kind of has a sluggish feel to it. I'm not super stoked how it turned out to be honest, but it is what it is. The other download, It's Not Called Tate - No Bling is the same theme but with the transitions stripped out and the animations sped up to a more normal speed. I actually think this might be the better theme....  The other two files are for those interested in messing with the Community Theme Creator files. With these files you can edit my theme to your heart's content. If you come up with something cool, share it with the rest of us!

    VIEWS
Both themes have special games views for....
Arcade (vertically oriented video) Comic Books (no video) Fruit Machines (vertically oriented video) Future Pinball (vertically oriented video) GCE Vectrex (vertically oriented video) Pinball FX2 (vertically oriented video) Pinball FX3 (vertically oriented video) Visual Pinball (vertically oriented video) Super Nintendo Entertainment System (rotated box art) Generic Text Games View (this allows the game details screen to have some styling) In addition: A note on the background images, Arcade Views all use Arcade Flyer Front images, whereas consoles use Box Front images. Pinball and Fruits use Game Play images. Just seemed to me like the most logical way to go about it.
See the section below titled Switching Between Theme Views for info on the best way to switch between these views. If you don't switch the views, you're going to have a bad time, as they say.
Both themes have multiple views that look almost identical except for the video size. There are horizontally oriented videos and vertically oriented videos. Because this theme is 3x4 ratio friendly, there is a third monitor size to better accommodate 3x4 screens.
I sourced a bunch of patent images to use for Platform Banners. For the consoles that I couldn't find patent images for, I used what I could find. These banners are included in the theme. To change any banner out, go into the ..\themes\It's Not Called Tate\Media\Platforms\(platform name) folder and change it out there. In writing this right now, I realize this could be an issue if you add a console that I don't have in this folder structure. The only place the theme knows to look for these images is in here so you'll need to add your banner image here if you need to add one. In a future release I'll address this. In scrounging up all those images, I came up with quite the collection. I will attempt to release these as a Platform Banner Pack for vertical systems in the future.

    CREDIT
I'd like to thank whoever created the original Hypertate theme. All jokes aside, your theme is actually pretty damn impressive. Also thanks to @y2guru for the excellent Community Theme Builder. OPTIONS MENU ISSUE
A problem with these vertical themes is the Options menus don't scale down properly in order for them to be usable. Currently the Theme Creator does not do any editing to these files and I have no plans to try to learn XAML just to make the options menus for these themes. A trick to be able to see the options menus is to go out of BigBox and temporarily switch your aspect to a 3:4 ratio (if you usually run 1080x1920, try switching to 1440x1920). Once you do that and go back into BigBox, you should be able to mostly read the menus as they will be scaled enough to see what you need to do. Not perfect, but at least you'll have a chance to figure it out.

  15. Game Launcher Clone

This theme is an attempt to recreate an old frontend that was made in the last millenium. Game Launcher was the first frontend I ever messed around with, and it was already a dated launcher when I first installed it in 2003. Game Launcher was a very simple frontend, but for it's time it was pretty radical. A simple text list with accompanying game play image, displayed with selected game. No videos or flashy... anything. Just pictures and a list. I hope you like it. For more about the original Game Launcher, visit https://www.davedribin.org./dave/game_launcher/
This theme "should" run just fine in any aspect ratio. Please let me know if it doesn't. As with any theme, it is only as good as the media you run it with.
Included platform images are from either Viking or SonicFan53's platform image sets. Apologies as I can't remember exactly which set but I'm sure it was one of those. They are very handy, thanks to both of you. Some of the other platform images I scrounged off of the interwebz.
I've included the theme as well as the Community Theme Creator files. Many thanks to @y2guru for the CTC and @faeran for the excellent tutorials. I couldn't have done this without you guys.

I stumbled upon an image of a store page for an Xbox Series X. This is my take on what I saw in the image.
The theme and the COMMUNITY Theme Creator project files can be downloaded here.

    Notes:
This theme is a hybrid of using the COMMUNITY Theme Creator and editing code to add the new coverFlow FlowControl. Because of this, the project files will not contain the new flow control. If you would like to edit the project files and publish the theme, you will then have to manually add the flow control code back into the platform and wall view. Those can both be found in the theme files.

  18. LATINO

Saludos!!

  19. Millennium Theme

☑️ New version available with English interface

    ✅ PlatformWheel1FiltersView

    ✅ PlatformWheel2FiltersView

    ✅ PlatformWheel3FiltersView

    ✅ PlatformWheel4FiltersView

    ☑️ VISTA DE JUEGOS
    ✅ HorizontalWheel1GamesView

    ✅ HorizontalWheel2GamesView

    ✅ HorizontalWheel3GamesView

    6 A jugar!

Eso es todo y espero que les guste!

  25. TrueVert

This is a vertical conversion of my FauxVert theme. It has a horizontal wheel view as well as text list view. Was designed to work with a 9:16 monitor but for the most part should work fairly well with other resolutions/aspect ratios. The one thing you have to be wary of is that this theme uses background images/videos that were rotated for horizontal aspect still (as did FauxVert). For example I just show  16:9 images and rotate them to fit in the 9:16 monitor. A 9:16 image/video would NOT render correctly in this theme.
I don't plan on making too many improvements/changes to this theme unless I need them for my particular set up, but if there is something small I can help you with to get this working on your set up feel free to ask in the comments.
