@Your Friendly A.I Overlord Thank you, I only had the -f param. I was missing the -g.

You're welcome. The PKG/RAP are installer files. It's in the same vein as deleting the EXE installer after you've installed a program in Windows.

You're welcome!

Thanks, Retro808's version does appear to work with other emulators too. I use it in RPCS3, Model 2 Emulator, and Cemu.

Hi @sundogak , what would be the difference of your ESC script from @Retro808 ? Which one is more elegant?
-
Thanks, the PKG/RAP files still need to be installed first via RPCS3, then search for the EBOOT.BIN in /dev_hdd0/game/.

I watched this new tutorial from @ETAPRIME and the process can still be cumbersome if you have ROMs as PKG/RAP files, which is what you will find mostly these days. Here is what I did if it helps someone: 1. Install the PKG/RAP with RPCS3. This extracts the game to /dev_hdd0/game/[GameSerial] 2. Add /dev_hdd0/game/ as the ROM folder in LaunchBox. 3. LaunchBox should automatically detect the EBOOT.BIN for the game. If not, you'll need to manually add this file. 4. The boxart/metadata can be completely wrong. You can fix this manually in LaunchBox via Edit Metadata/Media as usual. 5. (Optional) You can delete the PKG/RAP files. They are no longer needed after the game is installed to /dev_hdd0. End result attached. I do not plan to emulate too many PS3 titles, so I am fine doing this individually. If anyone (or @C-Beats @Retro808) knows an easier way to do it in batch directly from PKG/RAP formats, feel free to share.

@StuartJAtkinson You might still need to install DirectX9 (some emulators require legacy) and C++ Redistributable as emulator dependencies.

Hi, I was able to map my Xbox One controller and was also thinking of adding bindings for my PS4 controller: I found this old changelog: Where do I enable the "XInput Simulation Mode" in LaunchBox? Or does it mean to say to use something like DS4Windows?

Hi, I've been putting the script for ESC in the Running Script section so the emulators exit to LaunchBox when I press it. Should I be putting the script in the Exit Script section instead? What's the difference?
-
It is, but only with the *non-merged ROM set where each ROM is standalone.
-
Here's how I do it: 1. Filter the MAME ROM set by the specific arcade machine I want (e.g. Sega NAOMI) - http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/lista_mame.php 2. Get the non-merged set from PleasureDome. 3. Pick off the ROMs I'm only interested in via the torrent client. Yes, it's a bit tedious. But if you only have like < 50 arcade games you're actually interested in, it's worth the effort considering the amount of space you'll be saving rather than getting full ROM sets.

Remove --fulscreen and replace with -batch only. This exits both the "game window" and the "emulator window" on ESC key. You can set fullscreen and other options within the emulator itself.

If you're on the PC (not mobile app), YouTube allows you to search videos within the channel. Type in the name of the emulator you want.

Cool, I've been working on the MAME romset lately so that's what I remember (Force using MAME metadata). Thanks Joe!

I must be clicking on the "Next" button too fast because I don't notice that checkbox haha. Or perhaps it only appears when duplicates are present?

Didn't know redump had their share of e-drama. Thanks for the link. @Slag-O-Matic I gave you a whole slew of options you can do in the previous page. Did you decide on one?

That's an interesting explanation. Thanks for sharing.

@Headrush69 Can you also post the CUE of the one that didn't convert? If it's easy enough to identify what's missing, altering the CUE to what CHDMAN can work with is another way, albeit tedious. But an interesting experiment nonetheless.

This is actually now my favourite site. Thanks for sharing.
