I use MAME 0.235 for the Sord M5 which needs the bios m5.zip The parameters will depend on what you wish to play. For cartridge based games I use m5 -cart1 For the tape games there are two parameter options, depending on whether a game is auto-load and run, or whether it requires to be Chained. For the auto-load and run games such as Baseball I use the parameters m5 -cass For the ones that need to be Chained I use m5 -cart1 basici -cass When the Basic-I Ready screen opens, type CHAIN and press return to load the cassette. By the way, the auto-load and run tapes can also use the Chain method but not vice-versa.

Mr. RetroLust's - Mame 4K - Lights Out - Realistic Bezels / Artwork
spycat replied to Mr. RetroLust's topic in Game Media
MAME deprecated elements warnings: As of MAME 0.225 lay file background element instances such as for bezels are considered deprecated and that's what's triggering the warnings. Things will still work ok with MAME 0.225 to the latest 0.234, and if you want to not see those warnings then enable the "Attempt to hide console window..." in LaunchBox. However, if you want to fix rather than just hide the warnings then you will need to update your lays. See Mr Do's Arcade here. https://mrdo.mameworld.info/ -
@Ciro Alfredo Consentino Welcome to the LaunchBox forums Ciro. It's a pleasure to see you here. I was an EmuLoader user long before I found LaunchBox and I still use it today - an excellent product indeed.

@CiroConsentino Are you by any chance the Ciro Alfredo Consentino of EmuLoader and EmuCon fame?

Memotech MTX 3D Game Boxes View File A set of 96 3D boxes worked from retail artwork scans. Non game software such as educational, programming and utility is not included. Boxes are a mix of card (24) and Norelco (72). The set comes in two inlay effects, clear and with a splodge of sheen; see the previews for comparisons. The card boxes are a mix of Megastar and the slightly wider Level 9 ones. Thanks to @edgemundo for kindly sharing his tape template which was vandalised to make the simple case effect used for the Norelco packaged games. Meow! LaunchBox Games Database Changes/Fixes Today
spycat replied to Jason Carr's topic in News and Updates
The database could also do with image fields for cassette front and back media. At the moment uploaders tend to submit cassette images using the existing cart fields. Splitting the current Box-3D image field to embrace front and back fields might also be welcome. Unfortunately, since Vlansix left there is no database manager for development and improvement on a day to day basis. -
I was saddened to learn of the premature death last Sunday of Near (aka Byuu). They were a major talent in emulation development, especially of bsnes/higan and the precursor to Libretro/Retroarch. They gave us so much whilst being derided for who they were. May they at last find the peace and acceptance denied to them in this world.

The best ones out there are ep128emu and the simpler to use ep32. MAME also emulates the Enterprise. It's currently nowhere near the dedicated ones but this may change over time. -
Enterprise (a.k.a. Elan) 64/128 Computer 3D Game Boxes
spycat replied to spycat's topic in Game Media
Most of the 3D boxes have already been submitted to, and are available on, the LaunchBox Database. Colossal Adventure was incorrectly reworked (and submitted) as a Norelco when the cat was distracted, so I'll submit it again as a card box as it ought to be. I'll also check and submit any other omissions. -
