  1. so in the future is you check all of these LB will download all of them so users should beware
  2. @neil9000, now with the new multiple video capability are you sure that is still the case?
  3. as long as all the files are in the same folder you just point LB to the .gdi file.
  4. yeah shutting down the PC with LB open would be an odd way and may not give the program the time it would need to save all the data it saves when you shut it down using the x would be a perfectly normal way of shutting it down.
  5. It all depends what you want to backup personally I just backup my data folder. I can always just rescrape the platform to get any media that was to get deleted.
  6. are you shutting down the program in an odd way that is causing to not save correctly and corrupt your files?
  7. @Jason Carr, it was brought to my attention by a user on Discord that in the new edit window changing the default facing game wasn't working via the additional apps tab. I can confirm I'm seeing the same behavior from it. It creates a message saying that it will be overwriting the metadata already there but then after closing the edit Window the same game is still the facing game. As a work around until this is fixed you can go to the launcher tab and edit the path to reflect the game name that you want to be the facing name and those changes will save.
  8. there is a checkbox for unpacking archives in the emulator settings in LB that may work with rar files but I'm not 100% sure on that.
  9. yeah for a time I was doing it exactly like that too but then it got a little to tedious as some times it would be 100s of files I had to go through and check from the torrent list so I went to just downloading the whole file again to save time.
  10. @Johnny TI do use a split set but any set would work in this scenario.
  11. ah copying update sets to your existing MAME folder would overwrite your existing rom and break it since the update version of the rom only contains the part that changed so unless its a new rom being added to the set it will be an incomplete file. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding what you are saying that is terrible advise to be telling users.
  12. have you added Arcade to the RA associated platforms it isn't included by default.
  13. that is strange I'm guessing that the games are in separate folders?

  15. updating your set is much easier than it is made out to be. Its basically as easy as downloading the new torrent for the whole set and pointing it to the same folder your current roms are in then your torrent client will check what is in your folder against what is in the torrent will mark all parts of the torrent you already have as complete and fill in the blanks. Its really that easy now doing it this way will leave behind old files and stuff that gets deprecated and removed from the set by MAME so that is on the bad side but there is a tool available called torrentcheck that can run before starting the torrent and it can (depending on your settings) find and remove unnecessary files, delete wrong sized files and then make a report of what you are missing from the new torrent. Once that is complete just start the torrent in your client let it check itself and your set it up to date.
  16. I see that patience is one of your strong suits please don't spam the forums with the same question in multiple threads.
  17. as far as I know a thing like this does not exist
  18. go to tools manage emulators edit MAME and remove the command line for about keyboard input provider or some such that isn't supported in older versions of MAME and will cause it to crash at the same time you won't be able to use pause screens if you remove that so if you want to use those you may want to update your MAME version if you have no interest in using them then you can just remove it and keep using your current version of MAME.
  19. Nope everything is fine thanks for reporting issues you are coming across.
  20. If some games are working and others are not I would say it could be an inconsistency between MAME version and ROM set version.
  21. the point of the update pack is for clrmamepro to combine the contents of the two into one single archive so I have no clue what you mean by your question about space savings.
  22. You can just use RA for most games and the alternate emulator for light gun games for those systems. To do so you would right click an individual game and edit the game. Then go to the emulation tab and change the emulator to your alternative choice.
  23. there is an easier way I describe it on page 10 of this post.
