  1. there isn't any settings for that in LB.
  2. yeah it probably would have been best to include that information in the initial post.
  3. go to your image folder and find the platform in question look in the folder for box fronts and check if the images are still there
  4. have you renamed any of your platforms lately?
  5. ah my bad didn't realize you were referencing adding an individual game through the add game button. Now if what you are adding is say a ROM for a console system then what I said would apply you just wouldn't manually add the game you would use the scan for new roms assuming that LB knew your correct path.
  6. The only issue with that is past version aren't available so there would be no way to get the version in question if you never downloaded it. If you tried to update it would update to the newest version which would break your BigBox until you got a new license or rolled back to the previous version. You might however be able to contact support and request the last version that was supported by your license and they would probably accommodate you.
  7. you can edit the path but you have to do it for each individual platform. To do so go to manage platforms edit any platform in the edit form go to the folders tab and edit then from that moment on when you scan for new roms it will scan that rompath for that platform
  8. If you import them all and have the combine games optioned checked in the import wizard it will group them together under one game. Then you can right click and choose a version that you want to start
  9. you would download the MAME Softwarelist CHDs merged set but in your torrent client you would only check the psx folder if you only wanted the PSX games. If you client is not setup to show you a preview of the torrent you are about to download you would have to adjust that in the clients settings.
  10. in the associated platform does the default core name that LB assigned match the core you downloaded sometimes core names will change slightly. click in the field where it says the core name and then use the drop down to match it with the specific core you have
  11. well all the support here is voluntary so really you shouldn't feel entitled to it.
  12. if it says the core is missing it may be possible that the core that LB uses as default isn't named the same anymore so click in the core are and then look for the actual core you have from the dropdown menu that will become available. Also as to scanning games LB sets the game directory to the LB\Games\PlatformName folder by default regardless of where your games actually are so if you games aren't in the default folder and you use the scan for added ROMs it is always going to fail to find anything unless you edit the path . To edit the path go to manage platform then edit the platform you want click on the folder tab and change the game tab to you actual path.
  13. okay do the name you have in the sidebar in launchbox match the names in the associated platform list for RetroArch?
  14. can you run the games through RetroArch directly without LaunchBox?
  15. have you watched any of the tutorials on how to get RetroArch to work in LB? They are rather straight forward.
  16. well I suggest you open the MAME emulator and try to play one of the games if that doesn't work then we at least know your issue isn't with LB its with your MAME setup.
  17. do the games work directly in MAME without LaunchBox?
  18. This pretty much explains it all.
  19. did you run a chkdsk /f only that is very basic and just scans the file system if you want to look for bad sectors you have to run it with the /r command instead of /f
  20. just because someone says they think its something for Jason to add it doesn't mean he has agree to add it or that he has even seen this thread.
  21. no chds are necessary for certain Arcade games just not all that many of them are in a working state in MAME at this point. There are some that are part of the MAME set that work in other emulators though Like the ones for Naomi and Naomi 2 arcade boards via Demul.
  22. It be easier to just delete the set you have and get 221 at this point.

    Updating CHD

the only CHD packs available are merged but weirdly the update packs are packaged as split. So if you grab the update pack and just drop it in the folder which you can basically do for CHD because the file is just one file the only issue is then now your set can be mixed between mostly merged with a few split. I personally use Torrencheck see what files aren't in the old set (its never more than a handful) then I get the whole torrent but only download the files I need. If you do it like that make sure you don't download the torrent to you existing folder or it will take all the games you aren't downloading and append a weird file extension to them. I download the update to a update folder then copy the files to my existing folder when its finished. You can also opt to download the whole torrent and let it check all the files then it will just download the missing files after the check is complete the reason I don't do it that way is it takes for ever for it to hash check a 500GB torrent. I know some people like CLRMAMEPro but it is totally unnecessary and over complex compared to using TorrentCheck. http://forum.pleasuredome.org.uk/index.php?showtopic=34760 here is text to the link to Torrentcheck
  24. is there a torrent option for it? Also you could get an account on Pleasuredome.uk. They have the latest set every month when they are released
