    at 12 packs you would probably be better off just getting the newest set instead of running all of those updates. If you go that route you can just download the newest torrent to your existing set and it will check it against what you already have and fill in the blanks

    look under tools options and game details and see if the checkbox was reset if so check it also look under views and make sure auto play videos is checked.

    I believe it needs something along the lines of the below syntax but unless there is a variable I don't know you would need to add the command to each game individually with the proper game name to get it to work pce -cart scdsys -cdrom GAMENAME

    PC-Engine CD (and TG-CD) work differently and need additional commands then most typical systems if I remember correctly so it may not actually work as easily in LB as some of the other systems.

    what we really need for a plugin is something that scrapes ComicVine for metadata.

    in your ini folder are there any folders for individual games ie 1942.ini? If so it will be using those instead of the MAME.ini and override any of those settings?

    Open a game in MAME press tab on your keyboard then go to Input (general) then select input other and set them there.

    Only issue I have with it is it struggles with X-Men titles don't know why but it usually won't find covers for them. Also I converted a lot of my comics to WebP format and it doesn't support that either.

    Pleasuredome has the latest set and I'm not certain but I wouldn't be surprised if archive.org had a more up to date set than 202.

    CHDs are typically just one file so its not like a MAME rom with multiple parts that are subject to change. I have seen them add new CHDs for a game and then they change one of the older CHDs name to have a o (old) at the end. They do add new games though usually just a few and sometimes not even every month. Most likely what you have would be fine as is but if you want to be completely up to date then my above suggestion still stands.

    there have been some changes to be honest the best way to update them is to get the newest set and just download the torrent from it to the same location as your old set. It will check what you have and just download what is missing from the current set.

    Also running LB as administrator is not recommended as it can cause its own permission issues with emulators and other things.

    when there is another poll there will be a link to it until then there is nothing to do but wait for the announcement that there will be another one.

    you could do it if you had two versions of the emulator though they would just have differently set up cfg files.

    if you want to change a rom folder name that is no problem after doing so select all games for the Lynx platform then go to tools in LB and select change rom folder path for selected games and point it at your new folder. If you rename an emulator just go to manage emulators edit it and point it towards your exe in the new path.

    the CHD files at only 250GB sounds like a older set that might be missing many games but considering many of the CHD files aren't in working order that may not be that big of a deal. You can try launching the games that work that require them and if they work then no harm if not then you will have to source new ones.

    That is good to know do you know what characters they maybe or at least the specific one that was causing your issue so we can relay this info in the future

    Is LB pointing at the .cue file or the .bin file it should be pointing at the cue also what core are you using by default the PS1 core in LB associated platform setting for RA will be pointing at the mednafen sw core so if you are trying to use the HW core or (hopefully not) the rearmed core you will have to edit it.

    Like I said that is basically how things are for all PCs the manufacturer puts out a computer it comes with drivers and such and maybe there will be some revised drivers a new bios but after two years you are lucky to get anything. Unless there is some kind of issue then they may push out a fix.

    well that is pretty much standard operating procedure for hardware. If its running Windows it will get Windows updates but not may manufacturers keep putting out updates for their hardware after a certain point. Instead they make new hardware.
