    I mean if you know the roms you can try to import them and at the end uncheck the skip nonworking games but for LB to do it Jason has to put in the work on the code side.

    have you gone in device manager and tried to set your USB settings to not power down there can be an issue with power options turning the drive off.

    I wonder if it is MAME specific as MAME in LB only uses up to version 0.175 so any games made working after that in MAME would still be seen as non-working in LB as it hasn't updated the data its using.

    yeah that system sounds fine I'd personally get 16GB of DDR4 but 8 should still be fine.

    did you edit retroarch in manage emulators. The Snes core defaults to an outdated core that isn't in the program any longer so that needs to be edited and Arcade isn't in the settings by default it needs to be manually added to LB. Once you open the form to edit RetroArch go to the associated platform tabs to change -L "cores\snes9x_next_libretro.dll" to -L "cores\snes9x_libretro.dll" and then type in Arcade as a platform with the command -L "cores\mame_libretro.dll"

    You can move your video folder to another drive but the editing of the systems videos can only be done one at a time so you will have to go to manage platforms and then edit every platform. To edit it go to the folder tab and change the path. This can also be done through symbolic links but is a little more advanced of a process.

    Okay if all of your paths are correct than maybe there is an issue with the program.

    Yeah these are all look like clones of the same game though, correct? I didn't check but from the naming it appears to be like a rev a rev a1 rev b so depending on the settings you use at import it may not include clones and at the same time if you the right click the main game there may be additional versions available as additional apps to the parent rom.

    Scan for new rom by default is only looking in the Games\PlatformName inside of the LB root folder so if you didn't add your games to that location then it won't find your new games. To change the path go to Tools and select manage platforms go to your platform and edit it. Navigate to the folders tab on the form that opens up and change the games path to the path that your games are located at after that it should find your new games when you run the scan.

    I get both the torrent for the update and the torrent for the full split roms then I use the file names from the update to only download those roms from the full set its a little PITA but easier than using CLRMAMEPro IMO

    To use existing videos you need to either cut them from your HS folders and move them to Launchbox\Videos\PlatformName or go to Tools manage platforms edit the platform for the videos and go to the folders tab and change the path of the videos to the path where the videos are found in your HS setup. Only caveat is that your videos have to be named to match either the Title that LB has given the game of the name of your rom file or it won't work.

    If its a platform type but its a platform with no games then it isn't in the dropdown that's the way it is.

    Only way I know how is to go to manage platforms and the folder tab and edit the folder path but it is only one system at a time.

    It only sets the emulator at import. If you change it or check it it will not edit the emulator settings you have in your xml file

    also if a platform isn't in the drop down that doesn't matter because you can type in any name you want there.
