  1. why would the roms set be different regardless of whether the program is 32bit version or 64bit version?
  2. you need to have LB point to RetroArch twice one with the checkbox checked and one without it checked and then have all the systems that need to unzip files use the one that has it checked.
  3. DOS76

    Big Box Text sizes

Is your Windows scaling turned up past 100% that causes issues with some themes not displaying text correctly
  4. Okay CPS2 games you probably need the new qsound.zip file. How old are your ROMs
  5. Split works better with LB/BB with a merged set if you want to use any clones you have to set them up manually as LB won't identify them while importing since there is no physical file for it to read it does except games without file extensions so you can manually point LB to a clone in the additional apps but if you wanted a lot of clones then it would be a shit ton of work to make it happen.,
  6. just tested on my tablet with atom z3740 and the spikes are much more apparent but its an Atom and despite the spikes scrolling and navigating isn't really that slowed down the damn antimalware service executable and wsappx are eating most of my CPU on this system anyway.
  7. Okay to me that is like nothing at all.
  8. here is a 1 minute video showing that this issue isn't typical for LB behavior unless we are counting the jump from 0 to .08 as CPU spike. version 7.11 beta 14
  9. Okay if you have the know how to do that then that is your best bet.
  10. if you go into file explorer you can use the search to quickly find and remove things if you type in the region tags you can use them to bulk remove games so search for *(j) should give you a listing of all Japanese games then you can click one and use ctl+a to select all of them and then either delete or move them to a separate folder if it contains bad dumps, trainers or translations basically the same principle just search for that tag this is how I've quickly separated out stuff in the past and while it isn't automated for you it does make it much quicker to group and remove things.
  11. yeah if I want to delete roms I'll go into explorer and remove them don't like the idea of allowing a program to delete my files.
  12. In the upper right corner of LB there should be a drop down for image type do you have boxes selected for that. You can set it for different things per platform so other platforms could be showing boxes while this one isn't.
  13. 1 currently there is not and even though I've seen this asked for before I'm not sure there are any definite plans to implement it at this time. 2 I'm a lit iffy on what you mean here if you mean you are importing your games into LB and moving them into the LB games folder and then you are removing games from LB as long as you don't have the option to delete roms that you remove in LB then those files should still be located in your folder but not visible in LB. Also you can copy paste any roms you want into the appropriate games folder and unless you import it or scan the folder for new roms then they won't be added to LB but will still be in the folder.
  14. just tested and no there is no stutter when moving the window around.
  15. As you can see I can't seem to get the program to crash and it seems not to have any stutters while there is a small wait in between changing platforms that is nothing out of the ordinary for the program.
  16. you probably have to change the view in BB most themes have multiple views and not all views support video.
  17. Well out of the full set you only end up with about 2800 Arcade games after running the importer as long as you filter out clones, fruit games, poker, mahjong, mechanical and non working games.
  18. for MAME if you have a split set your best bet is to keep all the files and if that isn't an option and you only want certain ones then you need to get a non-merged set and this way you can safely pull out whatever you want and all the roms should work.
  19. BB backgrounds are controlled by the background settings in LB so if you go into tools>options background priorities and uncheck clear logos.
  20. the folders for the chds by default go in the rom folder with the roms but using the configure directories option you can actually put them anywhere as long as you tell MAME where that is.
  21. yes you hit tab and in the menu there are game specific control options.
  22. lol yeah I've tried to configure emulators over RDP and more than a few don't work remotely
  23. Open MAME without a game and go to configure options > configure directories and point the program to your roms folder when you done with that save the config and your games should work.
  24. you need to change it in a file named MAME.ini it is usually located in the root MAME folder. So in RA it would be located in system\MAME. experimenting I found that you can open a game in RA MAME core and then hit escape it will take me to the MAME built in UI. This works for me because for I have RA set up to use hot keys and I need to hit shift+escape to exit the emulator if yours isn't configured this way I suspect hitting escape will exit the emulator and not enter the menu but that is purely speculation. From the UI you hit tab and then go to configure options from there go to device mapping after changing a bunch of those to mouse you can go to previous menu and then go to save configuration but here is the weird part I can't get the save to stick every time I reopen the emulator the options I messed with revert back like I never changed them. While RA is pretty straight forward for the most basic arcade stuff I would suggest using stand alone for these types of games with special controls I think you will find that MAME is much more manipulable then using RA for this.
