BigBox is taking twice as long to start now so the video is looping

Mine isn't finished yet with the artwork and such but the shell (sellers has raised the cost of the cabinet by $60 since September) and controls only cost me $200 and everything else in it was stuff I had laying around an old PC and monitor a small amplifier these speakers I really don't use it as much as my HTPC's so I didn't want to go all out and put some insanely expensive box in there just repuposed one of my HTPC's and replaced that with a self build with core i5 6500 16GB DDR4 and a 750TI

The only time I ever tried the Reicast core it was a total shit show so I'm sticking with Demul the issue you are getting sounds like you don't have the correct bios for Demul the DC.zip file for MAME was just split into 3 parts and if you have the dc.zip from there it will not work unless you get the dcjp.zip and dceu.zip and then combine them that or just get the dc.zip file from a merged or non-merged set and it should fix that issue.

I'm keeping mine and I'm glad it didn't cost me anywhere near that.

Okay I tested it and its 6 and 7 on my laptop but I may have changed it from the default I can't recall.

the rom is configured to be networked you need to go into the settings and change it from master or slave to single and then it will run I believe maybe f2 and f4 are the test and service buttons but I'm not sure off the top of my head.

which arcade systems do you need that for I have used both MAME and FBA cores in RA and never needed to check that box.

are you using zips with multiple files inside of them by chance? Also why are you using the don't use quotes checkbox for RA?

Yeah I agree with Brad file name in the Details pane is a must makes it much easier to fix any dupes if you can see which file is represented by an entry.

No it happens with other part 1 and 2 games though in my experience its just a coincidence that these both have a 2 somewhere in the title.

yeah mine was just like Neils but that is something I've noticed that LB has difficulties differentiating between part one and two of game series and you will get a dupe that isn't really a dupe

Like I said this was Windows 7 era and to network two windows computers together I needed to have passwords for both but back then you didn't have a MS account so it was different

Refresh will clear your image cache and start it over and clean up images will delete any images that aren't associated with games any longer.

In my experience turning off the need for a password also disables your ability to access network resources (at least in Windows 7 I've had a password ever since so haven't tested it) to get around that you can get SystemInternals suite and there is a program in there called auto login which takes away the need to sign in at boot and leave you access to network resources if you need that functionality

I doubt you will find many Windows beta testers around here as far as I know I'm the only other one and like I said I'm not having any issues.

I just tested it with LB 7.8 stable version and 7.9 beta 4 and both LB and BB working in the latest fast ring preview here.

Yeah if you got them to import through using the force duplicates I'd call it a win and not worry about the rest.

Their Sega CD stuff works fine though

As long as everything from your original setup is on the same drive it should a be assigned a relative path and the drive letter shouldn't even matter but I know in my case I don't put any games in the LB folder and I always have stuff setup on more than one drive so it doesn't apply to me.

So wait you think that the games would launch without the right BIOS but not save so it keeps showing the set date and language menu when he opens them that would be really weird and I wouldn't think that would be an issue.

Yeah I'm sorry about the misinformation I can't do that because I want to have those options a level below the platform categories but if you want to use manufacturers as the platform category that can be accomplished by making custom platform categories.

sounds like it isn't creating the files it should be that tells it that information when I open a game for the 1st time RA creates 3 save files all with the games name with the .bcr bkr and smpc file extensions in the RA save directory.

That isn't typical behavior it should only be occurring the 1st time you launch a game.
