You could try going to Tools>Manage Emulators edit you PS2 emulator and check the checkbox for extract rom archives before running and see if it works.

No I've seen people who use just MAME asking about the same thing it hasn't been changed as of yet to compensate for it. It is an extremely minority issues for people as most have multi platforms with multigames inside each platform.

If you have the newest MAME romset it is already included. Yeah I'm not big into Odyssey at all but its cool how the guys over at MAME get all this shit working

Just tested and the voice works in Nimble Numbers Ned as long as you have the 02_voice.zip without having to combine the files.

They are in the O2_voice.zip file what game uses it I want to test without combining it also @spycatdo know if I need a voice command like that for Intellivision too.

So this passthrough cart isn't already a device ROM in MAME and MAME actually lets you add things to the bios? I would think it would be like having an old ROM that's files have changed and now they don't work in MAME because it doesn't pass what ever check they run. I didn't know this was a thing with O2 so I'm curious now.

Yeah its its own zip it contains sp0256-012.bin inside of it.

There is an intv_voice.zip and a intv_esc.zip that probably work with the system.

That may be its own device ROM in MAME I'll check my bios and see if it inside or not

It does grab all regions box fronts regardless of whether you have the ROM or not

No they don't but I would just get the new set so I can use the latest MAME video and audio enhancements with my stuff and also have the latest version of the arcade ROMs but I update my MAME roms pretty regularly so like I said that is just me.

I would just download the newest ROMs instead of an old version of an emulator that is now merged with MAME anyway but that is just me

I believe there are a few CHD's without ROMs but I don't know which ones they are off hand. You would have to get a list of those games and make a dummy .zip file with the name of the chd file and on import it should get found. I remember reading about this solution in an old post somewhere on the forums. Or if you knew the name of those games you could import those directly just make sure to use the folder name checkbox.

you can go to tools and manage emulators edit your Supermodel entry and look for the check box that says attempt to hide console windows on startup/shutdown. If that doesn't work and it is really bothering you that much then you could look into Rocket Launcher and utilize the pause and fade screens but we are talking about a significant increase of effort to make it happen.

I'm confused all of those sega systems should be in the database and have plenty of images to go along with them.

I use the O2em core in RetroArch I haven't done much testing of the actual game play but the games all launch from it without any issues.

Okay are you trying to get the game to run directly through MAME because it won't unless you are using the command line or have the software list ROMs. It should work through LB though, have you watched any of @SentaiBrad MAME/MESS tutorials from the LB YouTube channel? The visual aid may help you out I don't know if he has done a specific one for Intellivision but if you watch the MESS tutorials you should be able to get the general idea of how it works.
