  1. I've never seen it do that with the consolidation of sequels although the importer has always done a bad job handling numbered sequels in my experience best bet is to right click the game and undo the consolidation then reconsolidate the correct ones together manually
  2. you can also right click the windows symbol in the bottom left corner of Windows or use ctrl+x and then choose disk management then when the disks show right click on the disk in question and choose to change the drive letter assigned to it so it matches on both computers.
  3. Your best bet at this point would be reverting to the old theme for now until performance is improved.
  4. you don't need a premium license to revert back to the old default theme that option is available to free users. Go to tools>Options> click visuals in the sidebar and change to old default from the drop down. This will require a restart (of LaunchBox not your PC).
  5. Well most people don't add 1000s of games only to delete them.
  6. Not without knowing how to edit the code. The old theme is still there and you can switch back to it easily if you don't like the blur.
  7. I switched back to the old default theme as I saw to much of a performance hit.
  8. yes there is a check box to consolidate roms during the import. If you imported them already you can click a game then ctrl+click the other game and right click and consolidate roms will be one of the options in the context menu
  9. Okay this has been covered multiple times on the forum and basically if you want to delete stuff from your ROM set its either as easy as can be or very difficult. Which it is depends on what type of ROM set you have if you have a split or merged set then its a PITA and really not something someone with extensive knowledge of MAME should even attempt, however if you have a Non-Merged ROM set then its pretty much easy as pie. The reason for the disparity is the way that the split and merged sets are set up vs the structure of the Non-Merged set. In the split set ever game and clone has its own file but some of those files are dependent on other files in the set. In a merged set only the parent of a game has its own file and the clones are contained inside of the parents but these are still dependent on other files such as system boards and bios files. Due to this if you remove files without knowing what you are doing you will in all likelihood remove files that are needed for some of the games you want to keep to work so like I said earlier if you don't know MAME very well this is not something to be doing. A Non-Merged set is setup just like a split set in that every game including clones have their own file except there is no dependencies on other files all files needed for the game to work are contained in each file. This is the reason that it is twice as large as the other sets. So now that I've explained that basically you can do what you want if you get a Non-Merged set they are available on Pleasuredome just Google Pleasuredome Roms and you will find the site.
  10. Yeah this just may not be possible to map a button to due to the controller type that was used in the game. if you set your buttons in Demul and none of them do what you want I believe you may just have no options to play the game.
  11. Well it certainly isn't a virus
  12. @Jason Carr
  13. Good luck with any changes to this. Software List aren't officially supported in LB and support for them got very little attention on the last poll. Thankfully @JoeViking245 's excellent SoftwareList importer plugin exists to make them usable for us.
  14. The core splitter predates directory remap options in RA so while it would probably still work using the directory remaps is probably the easiest solution.
  15. Have you considered doing separate builds per region to cut down on the number of games in each build that may assist with performance.
  16. I have a few comic book readers that use SMB to allow network access via their application so definitely could be done.
  17. No a merged CHD set will work properly with a non-merged rom set

  19. Just delete the corrupted file from the LaunchBox\Data folder and restart the program it will recreate an new one you will just have to reset your settings, but all of your games and such should be intact.
  20. which file is it saying is corrupt?
  21. Logically would be that the program wouldn't block you from recreating the platform again as why would it logically be programed to do something like that.
  22. Think logically and you will know the answer for yourself.
  23. You can download a non-merged set then delete everything except the 500 games and it should be pretty small. Or you can download the non-merged set and run it against the All Killer No Filler bat file and see how many of your 500 games are included in that. LB is designed to be a front end not the be all end all file manager for your ROMs somethings if you want done in a custom way you have to do it yourself.
  24. I don't know how you would go about that easily. You would basically need to lookup from somewhere the 500 ROMs you have and see what files they require to work.
  25. If you have a full MAME set its of 36K games but LB only imports around 2800 games due to them being working or other parameters that you choose not to import. Anyway if you only deleted 1300 games there are still around 35K ROMs in your folder. This all assumes that you have a full set if not ignore everything I've said. Also you should be careful about deleting things from MAME unless you have a non-merged set. Some files are dependent on other files and if you delete the wrong thing then the game will stop working. Deleting working games that LB imported is most likely safe to do but just deleting things not imported from the ROMs folder can cause you lots of problems.
