  1. Only way I know how to pull up the menu is to right click in fullscreen which doesn't help if you are trying to use just a controller
  2. Click tools Options AutoHotKey (if you don't see AutoHotKey you may have to expand under the Input heading and then again under Gamepad/Joystick)
  3. I was totally against using RA for the longest time but after learning how to use it and seeing the improvements that it made over other stand alone emulators. Every thing handheld is much better than the stand alone. Its the best TurboGrafx/PC Engine emulator I've ever experienced. I've personally never tried to use FBA stand alone but I know that Kawaks also crashes if you try to use true full screen. You can set it to use Windowed full screen but in my opinion it looks like shit and it is just a PITA altogether. RA means not having to set up your controllers (In most cases). I'm not trying to force you to use it like LordMonkus said but I strongly suggest you watch Jason's video it will give you a base to build upon when setting it up and then start watching Brad's video tutorials on how to set up specific systems his videos are great at teaching you what you need to know. Like I said I was totally against using RA. I wanted no parts of that it was a pain and unintuitive, but after finally starting to use it I'm totally converted and use it for almost everything that I can except MAME and ePSXe.
  4. I copied that image from another post and it is a little blurry you can find the original here
  5. Can you send a screen shot of your RetroArch associated platforms This is what mine looks like Note that the matching name Neo Geo appears both in the left of LaunchBox and in the name list of the Associated Platform form and then the cores command line is -L "cores\fb_alpha_neo_libretro.dll"
  6. On the associated platform you have NeoGeo in your platform list is that how you have it there also any deviation could cause issues. Here is an example of mine. Maybe you could send us an image of yours and we can look for any problems.
  7. @CADScott you mention Jaguar CD what are you using to emulate those from my understanding they don't work in Virtual Jaguar (which I would assume also means that the RA core doesn't support them either).
  8. Kawaks or Final Burn Alpha are both options but truthfully the fb_alpha_neo core in RA is the best Neo Geo emulator I've ever used.
  9. I did but I got distracted and stopped working on it I'll have to get around to doing it again.
  10. Depends on the emulator about the full screen, some you can set it in the settings or in an ini file some you have to enter the command line for. This post will give you some information on various emulators and how they need to be set up in LaunchBox. There are other emulators not in that list so if you have an issue with any of those don't hesitate to ask.
  11. What you typed is missing the quotes -L "cores\fb_alpha_cps1.liberetro.dll". Don't know if what you have in LB has them or not but if they are missing that will be the issue.
  12. I think the NeoGeo bios has to be with the roms that's how mine is set up.

    Bigbox Rotation

I love having two monitors personally. Portrait monitors are great for reading and web browsing in addition to being able to play vertical games as intended.

    Bigbox Rotation

Mine only works because I have multiple monitors which doesn't fix OP's issue of needing to rotate. I know that in MAME UI if you right click on Horizontal or Vertical category you can go into the properties and set video preferences for both types but I don't think that would help either what you would need was like some AHK script that would launch games and then press ctrl+alt+arrow keys which will rotate the screen that or if you had a monitor with an accelerometer (not that I know if they even make them).

    Bigbox Rotation

I got BigBox in Portrait on a multiple monitor computer
  16. Big Box crashing is new. The issue with the AHK has been ongoing and last time I tested it last month it happened again. When I turn off the AHK it doesn't happen at all. Since I always have a keyboard and that allows betternavigation speed its not that important to me.
  17. Crash is only in BigBox Settings are exactly the same. I do not use the HotKeys as it causes both programs to stop working with an error message that repeatedly keeps opening over and over again until I need to use Task Manager to end the process.
  18. Adjusted for inflation that's a shitload more than that already outrageous price.
  19. According to the dropdown I'm already using the XInput driver and Use All Controllers is also off.
  20. File system errors are for real. I had an issue with USB 3.0 devices (MediaSonic ProBox 4 bay drive enclosure) with firmware that caused the drive to constantly spin down when not in use. The constant powering off of the drives caused me to lose file on every drive connected to USB on my Windows Server 2012R2 Essentials box. I could recover them by going into the hard disks properties click the tools tab and then click Check. It would find the files and put them in a found folder which will be hidden. If I remember correctly is you type \found.000 after the drive letter in the address bar it will open the folder. Initially I had to move the boxes back to my Windows Home Server 2011 since it didn't have the firmware issues then eventually I got MediaSonic to send me some firmware updater and flashed the boxes. Very much PITA but it resolved the issue.
  21. I have 2 360 controllers for this pc but only 1 is turned on. I haven't tested any other controllers.
  22. Every time I try to navigate through BigBox with my 360 controller the program crashes it works fine while I am using the keyboard but once I switch to controller its all over with. It is the only controller connected to the computer that is on.
