Maybe there is a type of molding that you can glue on but I'm uncertain if that exists. I bought a kit for my arcade and the grooves for the t-molding where all cut out so that was a plus. -

software list contains much more than a handful of consoles its easily over 400 systems that have SWL in MAME and that doesn't include the ones in the SWL CHD. Not all of these systems are playable of course but its a pretty massive amount of software they have covered there

Go to tools manage emulators double click RetrArch. Go to the associated platforms tab and see what core is the default one for RA I believe it is the plain Mednafen core and not the HW so if you didn't change it that is probably your issue. To change it click in the column with the core name and that will initiate the drop down menu where you can choose your core.

I'm not sure what to suggest for your fix but I have a suggestion to prevent the need for a fix in the future. Your data folder is your friend! Copy it to another location on another hard drive this way if your drive ever dies it really simple to get your LB setup back. Not only that you can also make a copy of it any time your feel like playing in the settings and easily restore if you don't like the outcome. -
go to tools edit platform pick a platform edit it and go to the folders tab you can set any folder you want to here but you will have to do this manually for everything you want to move which can be a PITA your best bet would be to create simlinks to link the folder locations so you can do so.

hmm wonder if you could make a dat or something with the no filler data and then Jason could just add that to his MAME data and there would be an automate filled playlist for the No Filler set

if you have images of the marquees you could just add them to the marquee folder for any platform in LaunchBox and they would render on your marquee display for that game. No need to even use the artwork.zip files from MAME for this if you use LB.

try importing it again and during the import check the button to force duplication and see if that changes anything if not just hit the add button and add that game manually without using the import process

If you have the six player ROM I would think it would work the same as the other games xmen6pu is the name of the rom I believe

I don't understand why anyone is using MESS builds at this point instead of just using MAME if you want to navigate through cmd window you just use the cd command. You can see the example there of how to move from the point where you start a command prompt to changing a directory to then listing everything in the directory.

Yeah default should work with all views.

well you could always open you settings.xml in the data folder with a text editor look for the line that says <CheckForUpdates>true</CheckForUpdates> and change the value to false and then you can reinstall version 8.6 again and it won't update it again next time you start the application.

What theme are you using I don't think all themes support all views but not 100 on that.

RA now has shader per game and per core options built right into the Shader menu in RA. Go to quick menu and then to the shaders and you should see the option there in the list of shaders assuming you are using a current version of RA.

okay either way its all about what is checked under the parent tab when you edit the playlist.

go to a playlist right click it go to edit then go to parents and if you want the playlist to only appear in the playlist section uncheck everything

pause in MAME is just P so you would just set up one of the buttons to be P -
You shouldn't run BB as admin if you can avoid it can cause issues with other things.

Have you tried going into the BB settings and refreshing your image cache.

for your 1st question the answer is no LB doesn't have the ability to create any screenshots let alone then automagically have it associated with the DB. for adding the 128 to the version and the year to the release date that would be a lot of manual work.

yeah now that you mention that I've seen that mentioned before on the forums something to do with Windows changing the device id number.

To be fair though sports games are constrained by the rules of the game so it also makes it easier to develop them quickly over and over.
