Hello ! First, thanks for this amazing theme. Like Sithel above, I've noticed some bugs if I don't run un 1920x1080. My PC has a QHD Screen (2560x1440), and if I select this resolution, the blurred video is not aligned with the non blurred video. In 1920x1080, no problem, everything is well aligned. And I second Sithel, in 720p your text are cut off, even with the font you required.

If one day we can skip intro video by a keypress ok, but for the moment, it is waayyyy toooo long

Bezels are supported with RetroArch
-
Ok, I'll give it a try with an other rom, maybe mine is wrong.
-
It's an I5-4690k, so 3,5Ghz from stock
-
Ok, I'll try snes9x, thank you for the information regarding how crap zsnes is Yeah, Contra III is a masterpiece for the SNES, hope snes9x will solve this lag. I don't think my specs can be a problem (i5 + 8Gb Ram + 970GTX and two SSD on Raid 0, I can run Wii U games flawlessly but not Contra III ) EDIT : not related to this topic, but I love your system logos, do you plan to do CPS 2 & 3 ? They're missing in my setup
-
I'm using BSNES Accuracy right now, and I've tried the balanced one, without any significant amelioration. I'll try zsnes as a standalone, without retroarch and its shaders/overlay, to see. If not, then I'll just play other games than Contra III
-
On my computer everything is ok on other games I tested (Super Mario World/Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Zelda III). I just feel some input lag when I play Contra III (like half a second between me pressing the jump button and the moment my charcater jumps)

theme CriticalZone / CriticalZone - BlueBox
adu replied to CriticalCid's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Prefer the old one. The cartridge takes too much space and shrink the description. And I don't think we need so much informations about the rom file in itself (source, status, platform (we already know which platform we have chosen)) Hope you'll provide both versions to make our choice- 627 replies

I've made some tests with overlay/no verlay, shaders or not ... And it seems that it comes from the game itself. Maybe when I was young I didn't notice, but the Contra III Gameplay seems a little ... like underwater for the controls, not so responsive than I thought ...
-
Can I ask you what core are you using ? And do you have any shaders or overlay please ?
-
Yeah, several people are complaining about lag with RetroArch under Steam Link, that's why I was thinking about moving away from RetroArch
-
Well, - if I play on my computer no lag at all - if I play a Steam game through my Steam Link no input lag (I tried Ultra Street Fighter IV and I noticed nothing) - if I play Contra III on SNES through Steam Link, input lag
-
I tried the settings you provided, it help a little. But with Steam Link, the lag is still present, so I think I'll give up with the idea to use it on my main TV through Steam Link

@Jason Carr My bug (no description on default theme) is fixed. I ventured in the options, and I check everything in game detail, and then the description shows up. In french the Notes is translated in Note (notation) and that was a little confusing ...
-
@Jason Carr Same here, work like a charm
-
@Jason Carr I've had a look to the theme code for my description not showing problem. Viking use this block to show description of the game : <Canvas x:Name="NotesCanvas" ClipToBounds="True" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="13" Grid.ColumnSpan="18" Grid.RowSpan="3" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Panel.ZIndex="101" > <controls:ScrollableTextBlock Name="ScrollingNotes" Text="{Binding Path=SelectedGame.Notes}" FontFamily="Segoe UI Semilight" TextAlignment="Justify" Foreground="#393a3b" TextWrapping="Wrap" Width="{Binding ElementName=NotesCanvas, Path=ActualWidth}" ScrollBeginDelay="3" ScrollSpeed="3" ScrollAutoReverse="True" ScrollEndDelay="3" ReverseScrollSpeed="0.5" ScrollDirection="Up" FontSize="30" /> But nowhere in the default theme nor in Critical Cid's Theme can I find a similar block Text="{Binding Path=SelectedGame.Notes}.

@Jason Carr Thanks for having a look, hope you'll find soon
-
@Jason Carr yes I do. CriticalCid managed to reproduce the same bug too with my data folder I sent him
