  1. I've seen a lot of great ideas from other users here and I would just like to share a few of mine that I've been thinking about for a while 1. The option to allow the selected title in the basic vertical rom list (BigBox) stay centered (instead of scrolling all the way down or up) 2. The ability to use custom box images (in bulk) for various platforms/systems when there are no images available. (instead of using the generic 'rubik's cube' bigbox image that appears in its place). I've mentioned this idea a few times before and it got a lot of positive feedback from other users. 3, Also, I very much like the idea of clicking on right-click and be able to choose other emulators, as it has been mentioned by zombeaver and others before 4. The ability to change rom paths in the bulk edit wizard (mentioned also by other users) 5. Add in any of the features available in RocketLauncher, and LaunchBox/BigBox will not only be the greatest frontend, but the greatest work of programming in the 21st century!
  2. Wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors, and thanks again for all the help and great advice through your youtube tutorials!
  3. MESS/MAME seems to work just fine with Apple IIe games. Also AppleWin is a very good emulator and is still getting regular updates. Be sure to use "-f -d1" for the default command-line parameters
  4. Perhaps one day (soon?) this could be done with the new plugins system. Maybe not all at once, but little by little you could get each of the features available in RocketLauncher such as the fades, pause screens, built in bezels, and so on. However, I'm no programmer and I have no idea what the plugins are capable of doing, and I can only hope that someone out there is already working on these ideas
  5. Thank you everyone! It's not that I want to completely change the way the rom-list scrolls permanently but it would be nice to have the selected rom "always centered" as an option. I'm sure some people like it the way it is now, but for some reason it just bugs me the way it scrolls all the way down (or up) like it's messing with my eyes
  6. Here ya go https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3195/feature-request-change-centered-titles-in
  7. Thank you for the quick response! It's bitbucket Issue #3195 and hopefully @Jason Carr is reading this
  8. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but it seems like a relatively simple request. I've always been more fond of the plain and simple 'vanilla' roms list. However, unlike the roms list with logos/wheels, it doesn't stay centered and always drops to the bottom. This isn't the case with other frontends, so I was wondering if it would be possible, as shown in the pictures below https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3195/feature-request-change-centered-titles-in
  9. Yep, I assumed that as well. It was a good effort but certainly could use some editing
  10. Wow, quite a novel you wrote there
  11. Also try MESS/MAME with Intellivision. It plays most of the games and for those which don't, there are the standalone emulators Bliss and Jzintv which should work with .int files
  12. Also, I believe that Lakka is an operating system made with Linux, which means you wouldn't be able to port over launchbox/bigbox to it, (at least not yet) since it's not compatible with Linux (only Windows)
  13. According to the specs, it will fit up to a 6.3" phone
  14. For those who are interested, here is a demonstration video of the wee controller
  15. The "Wee Controller' you mentioned seems very interesting and something worth investing in, possibly. I found it here https://www.amazon.com/Bounabay-Wireless-Telescopic-Bluetooth-Controller/dp/B01NBT9RFY/ref=pd_sbs_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01NBT9RFY&pd_rd_r=XM1BEJ4T0F8JSZ67168P&pd_rd_w=VG23k&pd_rd_wg=LfIjh&psc=1&refRID=XM1BEJ4T0F8JSZ67168P And sorry for that ridiculously long link
  16. Oops! My mistake. I guess that it was only removed from the "sticky" (top) posts in the general message board, probably due to lack of activity
  17. Nice! Great work once again
  18. On a related note, I've just recently noticed that they also removed the long-running post "Do you like Hyperspin?" from their forums. The last time I checked (a few months ago), it was filled with (mostly) negative posts, with people complaining about the lack of hyperspin development and comparing it with the features available in other frontends. They definitely have a great "scene" with people doing some excellent work by providing artwork and themes, but if there's any progress being made on the program itself, I'll believe it when I see it
  19. That's an excellent tutorial and after watching it, launchbox (with rocketlauncher) became my frontend of choice
  20. Another quick update. I just added the dolphin core information to the retroarch module, which took about 30 seconds and it's working fine within rocketlauncher
  21. You may need to change some of the configuration-settings for some of the emulators within the rocketlauncher ui, but I have the same module (1.36) and everything seems to be working fine here with retroarch 1.60. However, I haven't (yet) tried any of the newly added systems like vice, dolphin, etc.
  22. Right! Another reason I use rocketlauncher is for the reason you just mentioned. There's so much media (bezels, fades, pause, etc.) available, that it makes the whole 'experience' feel even more complete But as it's also been mentioned here before, it's all a matter of preference. Also, the modules that rocketlauncher uses make for both an advantage and disadvantage. They make setting up an emulator relatively easier but if a module for a particular emulator doesn't exist (and there are a few) then you're unable to use that emulator unless you want to create your own module. Nevertheless, I still use rocketlauncher for nearly all of my systems within launchbox
  23. Additionally, for almost all of the hyperspin users out there, having rocketlauncher available makes the transition to launchbox/bigbox a whole lot easier and smoother
  24. Lordmonkus explained the features of rocketlauncher rather well and for those reasons/features which were mentioned, I continue to use it because rocketlauncher adds the "icing on the cake" to launchbox/bigbox. However, it does take a little extra time to set up and get accustomed to, yet it's simple enough for someone like me to figure out after a few attempts My suggestion would be that once you feel comfortable with your launchbox setup and are ready for more "icing" then give rocketlauncher a try
