  1. Also, make sure that your mame.ini includes the folder where your bios is located. Example: (I have my astrocde.zip in the "bios" folder) # # CORE CONFIGURATION OPTIONS # readconfig 1 writeconfig 0 # # CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS # rompath bios;roms;
  2. Can't give you a complete tutorial or anything of that nature. But what you should do first, is put the videos in the folder -> videos / platforms /. Then make sure that the video is named exactly the same as the platform (Nintendo Entertainment System). Then, in BIgBox options, go to "videos" and make sure that "Use platform background videos" is checked. Then you should be ready to go
  3. Thank you for adding the box/cover artwork! Nicely done

Sounds great! Looking forward to the next release

Very nice simple theme! Would like to see a way to implement cover/box art in there somewhere, somehow
  6. Right! I noticed that feature after playing around with the freeintv core earlier. That's certainly a very welcome feature
  7. It's great to see another emulator available for the Intellivision! Just wondering, what are the neat features which you mentioned?
  8. Indeed, there are many an ass-hat on the internet. Truly a shame to hear that
  9. Doesn't really seem all that awesome. Thanks anyways
  10. I found a way to 'quick-fix' the issue. When I restore LaunchBox as a window (not maximized) and change the size of the details sidebar, then it will save that same position again later, including when it's maximized. However, it won't save the position when you simply change the size while LaunchBox is maximized.
  11. This doesn't seem to be fixed, after I tested the latest beta today. Is there a setting/option I'm missing somewhere?
  12. Oops! @Jason Carr I guess I may have spoken too soon. After a system reboot, the issue has come back again. I guess it wasn't (inadvertently) fixed after all. Oh well! Hope that you can get it done in one of the next beta updates
  13. That's odd because now the details pane is saving and remembering its last position, as I've tested this a few times in a few different ways while closing or exiting from LaunchBox. Prior to this beta release, it was not saving at all. I guess you somehow inadvertently fixed this issue. Well done!
  14. Thank you very much for fixing the [details column - remember last position] issue. It's working great now!
  15. Not a beginner here and been around the emulation scene for way too many years but thank you for sharing this! Very useful and helpful information, and it should be posted somewhere on the front page, or perhaps with the LaunchBox startup page
  16. Great work once again! Thank you for providing such useful and helpful tutorials!
  17. Video isn't working
  18. This looks like an extremely useful program, considering the fact that you don't have to extract an entire ISO file, which would take up a lot of space and it slightly harder to organize. I've (also) yet to try RPCS3 but have been following its progress here and there. Just wondering, are there a lot of playable games now?
  19. Good to know Not a major issue at all, but with that in mind, it would be nice to have a "Remember window size/position" in LaunchBox options
  20. On the topic of betas, I'm not sure if this is just me but recently I've noticed that the details panel (on the right side) doesn't save its position when it closes. Whenever I return to open launchbox, the details panel returns to its default location and I have to reposition it again. As far as I remember, this position was saved from where the user (me) last left it, or was I just dreaming that?

Welcome back to the emulation scene! MAME is certainly the best option for arcade games of course, along with many of the more 'obscure' but decent systems that don't get much coverage and attention such as Bally Astrocade, Fairchild Channel F, along with many of the classic computer systems, most of which I've never heard of However, for most of your emulation needs, Retroarch is probably the best choice, and for the newer consoles (Dreamcast, Gamecube, PlayStation 2, etc.) stand-alone emulators (Dolphin, PCSX2, etc.) are the best way to go. Have fun!
  22. I wonder how the rocketlauncher team will respond? But it's certainly a great idea/plan nonetheless
  23. Mixed feelings here. As some of the other members have mentioned, more time and resources should be focused on the windows version of LaunchBox, rather than anything else. However, I do play around with Linux from time to time, and understand that it would be extremely welcome from the large (and growing) community of Linux users out there. My "free" advice to you would be that if you have enough users contribute to kickstarter, then by all means, go for it!
  24. Another idea/option is to use Kodi as your "main" program and from there you can launch netflix, launchbox, etc. as there are plugins available which will allow you to do so. Just an idea to consider
  25. Very useful! Thank you for sharing this could this method also be used for making (audio) cd cases?
