No probs, yeah that's what I would of probably done, just copy paste the original so that it would only need minimal edits once portable.

Go to Tools/Options/Screenshot Priorities, check/uncheck what you do and don't want then move your preferred one to the top of the list.

Correct.

By default Dolphin stores its info in the user directory, so all instances of Dolphin on your system will use the same settings. In order to have two installs with different settings you will need to make your Dolphins portable, which will save the setting info inside of the dolphin folder so you can have 2 with different settings. You just need to name them slightly differently in Launchbox, like Dolphin native, and dolphin hi res for example. Here is the wiki page on portable dolphin setup. https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/controlling-global-user-directory/

The easiest way would probably be Tools/Add missing playlists let it create all the playlists, then close launchbox and go to Launchbox/Data/Playlists and delete them all except neo geo mvs. Then open Launchbox highlight all the games in that platform and change the emulator.

God yeah, Horse mode in Tony Hawks was great.

They are quite close, but as you see in the image R/L are raised and R2/L2 are lowered and also have a curve to them so it actually feels really nice. The only downside is L2/R2 are digital buttons not analog triggers, but they work just fine for emulation, if i'm playing a PC racing game I switch to my XBONE controller though.

My 8bitdo is Bluetooth and has the same amount of buttons as the xbox one/PS4 controller.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mcbazel-Wireless-Bluetooth-Gamepad-Controller/dp/B0787H1KYV/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522788561&sr=8-1&keywords=sf30+pro

I really like it personally, it has a great dpad on it which is great for emulation of the older systems, but it looks like you are wanting to emulate systems that mostly used analogue sticks rather than dpad. The sticks on it are good also but its a small controller so the sticks are quite close together so that would be a personal preference thing.

I honestly don't know as I retired the controller and got a 8bitdo sf30 pro which works just fine in dolphin.

Hi and welcome to the community. Just a heads up I have a Gamesir G4S controller and it doesn't work correctly in Dolphin, only the sticks and shoulder buttons are recognised along with the A button, b, y, and x don't work at all. Here is a thread on the issue. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-gamesir-controller-not-working

Well to be fair PS3 emulation isn't that great yet either, and even PS2 is hit and miss. It's just difficult to replicate how some systems work on PC hardware, the OG XBOX for example used a custom built NVidia GPU and there is no documentation out there for it, so its very difficult to reverse engineer something you know nothing about.

What exactly are you having issues with? Themes just get unzipped and put in Launchbox/Themes folder, and for this one you may need to unblock the .dll's in Themes/Unified/Plugins, just right click them/Properties and unblock at the bottom. Then in Launchbox go to Options/Views highlight the current view and cycle through them until you get to Unified.

Did you import the .cue files? as that's all you need. Also have you set the associated platform in manage emulators/Retroarch?- 45 replies

I just scrolled every platform in my library and it seems about right to me, I have the cache set to 4GB.

Also to add to this, the ram cache setting in Launchbox is for caching images into ram in order to speed up the fetching of said images, the program of course will still have to run as well so that will of course use more ram over the top of what you have set for the image cache.
