  1. I'm getting similar theme issues also, cant locate files in the core folder, this one with Jason's own "Unified Redux" theme.
  2. Actually the database and the forums are separate logins. Unfortunately there is no way to change your username on the database, but you can on the forums as @Merovingio is aware as they changed it here today.
  3. Because themes available in the app have to be heavily tested to make sure they are stable and are not going to break the app or the navigation of it. We cant have buggy themes available directly that will break the navigation, or regularly crash Bigbox, that isn't good for anyone, so they are heavily tested, for days. Most theme makers do not care about this and just release their themes to the forums, as unzipping a file and moving it to a folder is pretty much the easiest thing you can do on a PC.
  4. Yes it is not a game that is supported by MAME after a cease and desist was issued by Cave, hence it being skipped at import. You wanted the C&D, you got it - Forums (bannister.org)
  5. MAME has supported 7z for 10 years, clr mame pro lets you re-package in either .zip or .7z also.
  6. No, you can just run it again pointing at the new romset and the new version of the emulator.
  7. Not a question we can specifically answer, we do not run emumovies, and are not affiliated with them, we just use their service, a service that is now broken for programs that use their API. Until we have details about there new API settings, which even after that message was added to the emumovies website on Sunday, we had not heard anything at all about changes, or this so called collaboration with them (though this may of changed since Sunday, i don't know), so its a waiting game at the moment. Maybe @C-Beats has more specifics since the last i heard?
  8. It was, hence why things are being changed, the last line of his statement says so.
  9. Just to reiterate, you only import to Launchbox the file the emulator needs, so if you have cue & bin for say Playstation, you only add the .cue file to Launchbox.
  10. Ok that is likely the problem, Launchbox will not know what file to use so is picking one that doesnt actually work. OK, delete the Dreamcast platform in Launchbox by right clicking it in the sidebar, if it asks if you want to delete the media associated with the platform say no, (no point in downloading the same stuff again). Then go to your Dreamcast folder in Windows and put "*.gdi" in the search without the quotes to show all the gdi files in that folder, click one and CTRL-A to highlight them all, and drag and drop them to the Launchbox window to start the importer, work through the wizard but uncheck all the image downloads as you still have them and they will re-attach after. Test a game again.
  11. Which file type did you import to Launchbox?
  12. Redream does not need any scripts to work correctly, its one of the easiest emulators and needs zero additional setup other than pointing Launchbox at it. Also that script you have appears to be sending Alt-F4 to close the emulator, so not sure why you are using that. The only reason i can think of that a rom is not loaded directly from Launchbox is the file type of your roms, what are they?
  13. As far as i know they havent reached out with any new details as of yet.
  14. No, no there shouldn't, paying doesn't give you the right to dictate where the software should go, other wise there could be premium users with bad ideas getting it into the program, while free version users with great ideas will be ignored. I appreciate that you feel this specific issue is important, and it is to you, but that doesn't mean that it is more valid than any of the other hundreds of improvements and features that are already on the docket waiting for implementation.
  15. That is the temp folder where Launchbox unzips too, so you are still unzipping those games, uncheck that option in Launchbox and just pass the zip, then the content directories will be where your roms are and the overrides will work.
  16. Sounds like display issue, with your cable not being good enough for 4K60, or maybe you are trying to use HDR on a non HDR screen, or again a HDMI cable that doesn't have the bandwidth for 4K60 and HDR, so every time a program goes into/exits full screen and the display has to set the res and framerate its having issues. As for only the 4096x2160 resolution filling your screen correctly, that is a screen setting, make sure your TV is set to 16:9 aspect and also make sure that overscan is on or off, whatever is the opposite of what it is now. If you don't have a better high quality HDMI cable to hand try setting the PC to 1080p and see if the issue goes away, I'm going to bet that it does, which would back up the insufficient HDMI cable angle.
  17. You will need to change the name in the view you are using.xaml in the same place you are changing the colour code as you are using a non standard platform name that will not match what is in the theme.
  18. That is what is happening, windows uses different controller positions every time and MAME is getting the controller ID from windows, so your controllers will be in a different order every time you switch them on, or reboot Windows. Have a google around for programs that maintain controller positions, there are a couple, allthough i have never used them personally. Also, if you start MAME without your controller switched on MAME WILL wipe your config, i set my config to read only so that it cant be overwritten.
  19. Those views are all game views, not platforms, the colour codes are in the platform wheel views. It's codes at the end of each line that dictates the colour.
  20. The scraper at import is purposely very strict so that you do not get tons of incorrect matches that you have to manually fix. The scraper when you right click a game, edit, and scrape is less strict and will also show results for other systems, and this is because you are actually looking for one specific game rather than importing hundreds or thousands, this is by design and working 100% as intended.
  21. They are on the github page, and not everything is covered, far far from it.
