  1. Hmm, i have 9500 games in my collection with ram set to 4gb also with no issues (i5 3570k, 16gb ram, gtx 1060, win 10 64bit). Are you sorting your games any other way than by title?
  2. Have you tried upping the ram cache in the options?
  3. Yep, exactly that. That is how I have mine setup, I load the game straight from the list and have the game details screen on my start button.
  4. There is no reason that you should lose all your data and images. Are you sure you reinstalled to the correct location? Maybe you installed it a level up, so now have a Launchbox folder in your Launchbox folder, I have seen people do this before when installing over the top of a current install.
  5. I also have a lifetime license so am unable to replicate this, however I did have a thought that may or may not work. Do you have automatic updates enabled in Tools/Options/Updates? It could be that it's the first thing that is checked when you launch the program, and it finds a newer version, but then cross references with your license which say's you can not download updates anymore. So try turning automatic updates off.
  6. You can right click a game which contains a consolidated rom and choose the expand selected games option.
  7. Choose Sammy Atomiswave like you have in your screenshot, then on the final wizard screen check the box to force using mame metadata.
  8. Yes this option was added a long time ago, simply go to tools/options/general to enable it.
  9. Just updated myself @DOS76 didn't get that prompt. On the latest version of Windows 10 here.
  10. Hi @eatkinola. I am still enjoying the theme very much, but I would like to make a personal edit to the game list view if possible but I know nothing of XAML so was hoping you could provide the line of code I would need if possible? It should be a very quick and simple edit for someone with your skills. I will stress i'm not asking you to change the theme at all, just provide the code if possible so I can copy paste into the view XAML for my own personal use. what I would like to do is in the image below replace the, genre, modes, platform, developer and progress text block with simply the scrolling game description instead. Is that something you would be willing to knock up for me? No worries if not, I just miss the game description as I have the game details screen switched off in the Bigbox options. Thanks again.
  11. Yes that's correct. Sorry I said metadata and images didn't I? I wasn't at my system when I replied.
  12. Hi and welcome to the community. Yes this is possible, you can either highlight individual games by holding the ctrl key while clicking, or you can select a whole platform by clicking one game in it the using ctrl A on your keyboard to select everything in that platform. Then just go to tools/update metadata and images. You will have 3 options here, I generally use the middle option, as this will just update anything that is currently missing (if it's in our database of course).
  13. Thank you so much @Abwezi This is a very thorough write up and will be very helpful to many of our users. The post is very much appreciated.
  14. Personally if I rename a file I want the images and such to reflect that change. So thanks for the clarification there @Jason Carr It currently works as I would expect it to. .
  15. Personally, I would stick with the intel chip. Amd have come out with some great chips themselves recently, but the emulators have always been focused on intel as that's always in the last 5 years or so been the most prevalent chip.Stuff is just more generally optimised for that side of the fence.
  16. I seem to of been a way a while, but this sprung into my head today, so enjoy, or not. Whatever's your flavour.
  17. I was just nosing around in one of the view XAML files and came across this little nugget of code, <!-- NOW LOADING SO USER NO SAY WTF?! -->
  18. Thanks for the update @eatkinola. All looking good on my end, had to make a few index edit's (but that's why they are there right), sound bug is also fixed. From a purely selfish point of view there are only two things I need to have this theme 100% to my liking, and they are European SNES and Sega Megadrive backgrounds. Apart from that I think its ready for a official version 1.0 release. Thanks again for this really great theme, I know it's been a lot of hard work and a lot of little bug fixing, but I think it really show's through in how good the final product has turned out.
  19. This is how version 1.2.0 looks on mine, of course I don't have the correct platform images that are used with the theme in mine, but I believe that is the view you wanted.
