  1. Try turning off the option to Force using MAME metdata.
  2. I'm just using a generic American Laser Games bezel for all my games now. Until the Sinden's arrive, don't know if they will need to be darkened, so not worried about individual bezels yet.
  3. If you start menu.bat instead of the game directly, when you hit escape, it should return to the menu, which you would have to hit escape a second time. I've never shot the guy running out from the sheriff's office as well. I had this issue when running Singe1 also. I really left investigating it until my Sinden's arrives as well. I do see from using the -t trace option that the gun is locked for a a bit on that scene and it could be firing too soon could be a problem. If I figure it out for sure, I'll let you know.
  4. I did not make any scripts, Singe2 includes all the ones you need. The menu.dat file just starts Singe2 with a script to present a menu of the games first. I am of the opinion that using a frontend (LB) to call another frontend (That menu) isn't a great option, but to each his own. If you run that menu.dat outside of LaunchBox, does it start properly?
  5. Those xml and sqlite files are from your Bittorrent client you used to download the games. They are not needed once downloaded. How are you launching the game now, directly running Singe2 or with LaunchBox? I don't use the Emulation tab of LaunchBox to start my Singe2 games. Since there are just a few, I call the Singe2 application directly and use custom command line options for each. Attached is a screenshot of my settings for Mad Dog McCree.
  6. I was referring to corruption within one of the files, not the files you have per say. (That's why I wanted to know if it was just Mad Dog) I can say that my Singe2 installation does not have any of those xml and sqlite files. By chance did you originally use Singe1 with Daphne? Basically, it makes sure you aren't running fullscreen, with the console window open so you can see "debug" information. I did a little more testing and it appears just adding the -t option will also had that debugging info into a file trace.txt inside the script folder of the game you are running. So I would add that option to however you are launching Singe2, run MAd Dog, let it crash and than check that file for possible errors messages.
  7. I tested again before posting, no issues. No way of knowing for sure but could be where you acquired your Mad Dog files... bad singe file possibly. Knowing for sure whether it's just that game or several would help narrow it down. Maybe try running without the -f, -z, and -w options and adding the trace option -t, might display an error that may help.
  8. I do not have these issues using Singe2. Does this occur with all Singe2 games?
  9. In the Add Emulator window, you have to check the three options below the default command line options. (See your second screenshot or Korth's example above)
  10. Easiest way, import the xmls. You can Use any platform name. You'll likely want to scrape media as "Arcade" Yes, if using the xml method. No. This was only needed if you were calling the application directory and not using the emulation section.
  11. Yes those are layouts that are compiled in. I for some reason thought you were using 2 physical screens and that is why the black screen happened. My mistake. Glad you got it working.
  12. I’ll take a look after work. in the meantime, I would commenting out the extra elements like backdrop and overlays and add individual elements as you go to make sure system is working. (So just bezel to start) When you hit the TAB key in Mame, are you getting the option in video options to pick screen #0 or screen #1? What version of Mame are you running? Version 225 introduced new layout rules and even though the old one while work for a year, if fixing this might be best to update to new system. (Doing this with my custom layout files)
  13. I don’t know how well you know MAME layout files, but you’ll see that each view has a reference to a screen index. You would need a view element that references screen #1 As a test, you can copy a current view, change the name and screen reference to #1 and should be good to go. Here's a sample:
  14. It's no different than any other MAME layou. You create you layout file with multiple views. just make one appropriate for each screen. Make sure you have a punchout.ini file in the MAME -> ini folder with the contents Now when you are in MAME, hit tab and go to video options. You should get the options to pick screen #0 or screen #1. Once you pick one, you can than pick the view you want for each.
  15. Did you try a Force board reconfigure in the WiniPac software? In Device Manager does it appear normal, no question marks or errors? You can always try removing the device in Device Manager and letting Windows re-install/reset it.
  16. I don't get it then as I've tried the Sameboy core as well and it's doesn't save core options in overrides for me. All the Retroarch docs are telling me otherwise, Just to be clear we aren't talking about other configurable options or shader options, but options specifically in the Quick Menu -> Options menu of Retroarch. Would love to hear what we are doing wrong, as per directory core options would clean up have a lot of game specific core option overrides for me.
  17. Strange. I don’t get core options saved in my config files. Maybe there is a setting missing somewhere. Can you post a portion of your override that shows the core option setting for comparison.
  18. Unless I'm completely missing something, this doesn't apply to core Game options. When you make a change in the Retroarch core options menu, changes are immediately made to the corename.opt file or the retroarch-core-options.opt file if you are using a global options file) , which are applied to all games launched via that core. Saving a content directory override does not include any changes you make in this menu. Core options being different than Retroarch options or configs if you will. As per Retroarch docs, just game overrides for core options.
  19. I always thought that as well but it could be since only a few cores support multiple platforms it wasn't deemed important enough. Yes but not for core options, just per game option overrides. Glad you got it figured out Friedi1987. I don't know the Amstrad platform at all. Any good exclusive games on that platform worth checking out?
  20. By chance were you MS-DOS games from eXoDOS? I ask because importing them directly doesn’t work as it normally points to a BAT file, but some can be started directly with DosBox. Have you tried restoring an older MS-DOS.xml from your Launchbox -> Backups folder to replace the current one in Launchbox -> Data?
  21. Don't think those are vector games. Thinking of a different one maybe?
  22. This should work. Do you know for sure they weren't written or that they don't load after. (That option to auto load has to be enabed) When you saved the content override, did you get the message on screen in Retroarch that it was saved? If yes and no config files exist, make sure in Retroarch settings under Directories that the config path is set where you expect. Edit: I don’t run this system, but is the system option in the Retroarch Options menu? If so it’s a game specific options file you need. I’m not 100% sure if you can save a content directory option override directly from Retroarch. (I’ll check after work) Try duplicating the core options file and name it to your folder directory name. Edit that file and change the system setting. Edit 2: Retroarch options
  23. Sorry I just use AHKs to remap to other keys, not XInputs. I always leave my iPac in keyboard and don't have any games that strictly require XInput only. If so, I would just use my Wireless Xbox 360 controllers.
  24. What happens if you don’t select Use Mame metadata? Might be that in Mame those games are marked not working, so using it’s metadata it doesn’t import. I never used that option and metadata always populated properly.
  25. Is your platform name called Naomi Atomiswave or Sammy Atomiswave?
