Thanks @ckp! Did you include additional games or was it simply naming convention changes? Also, for games that have 2p or 4p variants, what's the fastest way to only include 2p? It would be awesome if the lists were split: No_Filler_2P, No_Filler_4P. It's unlikely someone will need both - or am I missing something.
  1. If that's the case, we might as well allow the user to specify it in a string format, e.g. similar to Excel. The user could specify this in 'Launchbox' and it carries over to 'BigBox'. Sometimes I prefer '-' instead of '/', etc. As Launchbox is developed in C#, Jason should be able to simply validate the format before proceeding; otherwise, a popup or it highlights it. Users can then make it so: "Mar 5, 1985", "2013-2-01", etc. The database itself should have a preferred format in US. Months as 1–12 : m Months as 01–12 : mm Months as Jan–Dec : mmm Months as January–December : mmmm Months as the first letter of the month : mmmmm Days as 1–31 : d Days as 01–31 : dd Days as Sun–Sat : ddd Days as Sunday–Saturday : dddd Years as 00–99 : yy Years as 1900–9999 : yyyy
  2. Is anyone aware of an updated full set? I can only find .159 and that's a lot of updates to get to .182
  3. I found this on Hyperspin: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11710-griffin518s-best-of-mame-xml-database/ Updated to .180
  4. Thanks for humoring me. I like the alternative much more.
  5. D'oh. I was thinking Dragon Quest and I still wrote Chrono Trigger. Why not something like the red one (angle wise) : imgur.com/28ZRGkT
  6. You can never go wrong with Chrono Trigger... However, it could just be me but the handheld feels a little out of place. Almost like it's not 3D compared to others.
  7. Roughly 60%. I've got paths hard-coded so I still have to build the 'wizard', general GUI changes, and then onto testing. I've been busy with work so I haven't had a chance to work on it the past week.
  8. Of course not, it's not 'BixBox'.. it's BigBox. Kidding aside, simply call your bank. They may be declining it on their side. If so, you simply request an exception.
  9. Last I checked MAME 2014 was using high .170's. I didn't even know they released MAME 2016. I prefer to use MAME standalone but RA core has gotten better.
  10. @ZombeaverIt also varies between emulators, Higan vs. BSNES.
  11. Can I request Alien Brigade from Atari 7800?
  12. Nice and simple! Oh jeez, I love that wallpaper. I've always loved your theme screenshots because of your 'Arcade' logo. I guess there's no chance for a .psd version to create our own?
  13. Similar to HyperSpin, I'd like to be able to press any button to stop the video and head into HyperSpin. Also, instead of setting a 'minimum time' would it be possible for a option to use 'length of video'. I haven't tested this feature but what happens if I set a minimum time greater than the video?
  14. Ah - thanks. I had the same thing. What I had to do was modify the .bml and I got it working. If anyone else has issues with Zelda: lltpdx, this is what I used. cartridge region=NTSC board type=1A3B revision=11,12,13 rom name=loz3-dx.sfc size=0x100000 ram name=loz3-dx.srm size=0x2000 map id=rom address=00-1f,80-9f:8000-ffff mask=0x8000 map id=ram address=70-7d,f0-ff:0000-ffff msu1 rom name=loz3-dx.msu1 size=0x0000 map id=io address=00-3f,80-bf:2000-2007 track number=1 name=loz3-dx-1.pcm track number=2 name=loz3-dx-2.pcm track number=3 name=loz3-dx-3.pcm track number=4 name=loz3-dx-4.pcm track number=5 name=loz3-dx-5.pcm track number=6 name=loz3-dx-6.pcm track number=7 name=loz3-dx-7.pcm track number=8 name=loz3-dx-8.pcm track number=9 name=loz3-dx-9.pcm track number=10 name=loz3-dx-10.pcm track number=11 name=loz3-dx-11.pcm track number=12 name=loz3-dx-12.pcm track number=13 name=loz3-dx-13.pcm track number=14 name=loz3-dx-14.pcm track number=16 name=loz3-dx-16.pcm track number=17 name=loz3-dx-17.pcm track number=18 name=loz3-dx-18.pcm track number=19 name=loz3-dx-19.pcm track number=20 name=loz3-dx-20.pcm track number=21 name=loz3-dx-21.pcm track number=22 name=loz3-dx-22.pcm track number=23 name=loz3-dx-23.pcm track number=24 name=loz3-dx-24.pcm track number=25 name=loz3-dx-25.pcm track number=26 name=loz3-dx-26.pcm track number=27 name=loz3-dx-27.pcm track number=28 name=loz3-dx-28.pcm track number=29 name=loz3-dx-29.pcm track number=30 name=loz3-dx-30.pcm track number=31 name=loz3-dx-31.pcm track number=32 name=loz3-dx-32.pcm track number=33 name=loz3-dx-33.pcm track number=34 name=loz3-dx-34.pcm information title: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past DX [MSU-1] region: NTSC revision: 1.6 board: SHVC-1A3B-12 serial: SNS-ZLDX-USA configuration rom name=loz3-dx.rom size=0x100000 ram name=loz3-dx.sram size=0x2000
  15. Could you share your folder structure? If I load the .bml I get a black screen.
  16. At the top, "ISSUES/REQUESTS": https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/new
  17. The flag no longer works; you can only do it by recompiling the executable. I'm not sure if it's limited to Premium members but you can find one on Hyperspin: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/category/3-3rd-party-apps/
  18. Jason currently only implemented a 'wheel' navigation; however, I'd very interested to see a grid navigation with the following options at the theme level: Specify max dimensions of image Specify number of rows and columns (page) Vertical or horizontal scroll This feature would need to be requested. I liked how Big Box in Steam looked prior to the latest visual update.
  19. @lordmonkus were you ever able to get this to work for Legend of Zelda in Retroarch (BSNES-Mercury Balanced)? Is there a specific naming convention possibly?
A new game to add to my collection. I never heard of it before. I couldn't get the MSU-1 files to work however, at least not in Retroarch using BSNES-Mercury Balanced.
  20. The renamer can work regardless of what front end you use as long as you do it prior importing your roms. Otherwise, it get trickier because you have to rename the XML files located in the data folder as well as the media so it matches which the renamer tool on its own can't do. I'd do the following: 1. Rename roms using renamer. 2. Import without media. 3. Copy media to appropriate folders after import, otherwise it will rename it to the launchbox convention. After I have it the way I want I manually do updates to the data folder to prevent media name changes.
