If it is a LB theme and not a BB theme you would edit the GameDetailsView.xaml located in \LBThemes\[Theme Name]\Views

containing yuzu within launchbox. Is it possible?
Retro808 replied to fubarsam1964's topic in Emulation
You should be able to make a folder called User in the main folder you have Yuzu exe Yuzu will use that to allow you to keep Yuzu portable. -
LB has nothing to do with in game controls. That is all handled by emulators directly. As long as the emulator will allow you to set per game controls (like Mame and RA can) then you are good. In short, LB simply sends the command line to the emulator to have it launch the game you select. How current of games can be run depends on how good of a CPU and in some cases a GPU your set-up has. Which then falls back on the capability of the emulator to actually run the game. LB is merely the "launcher" and the game presentation program. It can launch anything that can accept command line prompts. This like #1 is emulator related. Yes, you can organize how you desire. LB can handle any folder structure. You may need to tell some emulators where to find the games. Like Mame for example. It requires you to enter the path of the rom library/libraries.

This was not an error in the beta. It is an added warning. Over the years Nahimic has caused graphical issues for random users. So this is just a warning about it if your system is found to be running that service.

can I redownload/repair CefSettings.BrowserSubprocessPath?
Retro808 replied to BobbyTwoKills's topic in Troubleshooting
You can just reinstall the last version of LB over top. It will not delete any games, media, or metadata. Be sure to add an exception for LB. Look in your \Updates folder. Just be sure to confirm the path it installs to is not to a \Launchbox\Launchbox folder. The last screen should show you that path. You want to ensure it installs to \Launchbox. Users have made this mistake many time. I also deleted your other post. No need for multiple posts for the same issue. -
If you are talking about media for the platform itself and not the actual games of the platform you may have to manually add the media. LB does not individually classify each arcade board as its own platform in the Games DB. All arcade boards are simply "Arcade" so LB may not have media for a Naomi platform specifically. Let alone a more unique "Naomi Cartridge".

The steps are in the pop-up warning in the pic you posted. "Open task manager (on your PC), navigate to the "Services Tab", and disable Nahimic services if you see it running.

When you edit the Playlist....In the "Images" box click on the "+" symbol. Add your image and select the image type it is.
-
This is because that "Games" tab is showing all your SNES games added to the playlist since you only told the playlist to include "Platform" = "Super Nintendo Entertainment System". So it did only that. You would need to add another condition to tell it to add games with "Street Fighter" in the "Title" or in the "Series". You can add more than one condition to refine how the list pulls. Example of a simple Street Fighter Collection that pulls from all platforms: (You can see it pulled games from all different platforms)
-
What tutorial did you check out? Yes, LB supports this. That is exactly what playlists are. A collection of games that meet specific parameters you set in the playlist. If you want a Street Fighter Collection playlist you just need to make one. In LB right click in the left hand pane over a platform name. Choose >Add >New Playlist Fill out the Details Tab how you want. Click on "Auto-Populate" tab and check the box there. This will not open the drop down options for you to set what ever specific you want to make what ever collection of games you are looking for. Making it an auto-populate playlist means anytime you add a new game that meets the parameters you set LB will be sure to add it to that playlist. Then in the "Parents" tab you can dictate where in LB/BB you want each playlist to show up.

If you already have a game of that name imported and then are importing another game with the same name LB does not combine the new one with the one already imported. That "combine" option during import is only for games you are importing at the same time. If combined you can right click and edit the game and will see the other versions under the "Additional Apps" listing. Right click the game you should see am option to select the alternate versions. If you are in BigBox and have "Game Details" showing (or you bind a button to show Game Details) the other versions will be showing there.

In bigbox how to have video and screens on details?
Retro808 replied to Avadar30's topic in Game Media
If using default to get custom fields to show in game details: Go to >Settings >Options >Game Details >toggle on the switch for "Show Custom Fields" As far as showing screenshots I do not believe the Default theme was designed to do that. I believe it just show videos and will show a screenshot in the absence of a video. I could be wrong. I have not messed with the Default theme in a long time. You can copy the theme's folder and then rename it to whatever you want and then edit the code of the new copy to show screenshots in Game Details, but you would need to know a little coding to do so. -
In bigbox how to have video and screens on details?
Retro808 replied to Avadar30's topic in Game Media
What appears in the game details in BigBox is theme dependent. So what shows there all depends on what the theme creator chose to show. What theme are you using? Custom fields work. Again if they show depends on the theme. What exactly are you wanting to see or where are you wanting to see it? Pics are usually helpful. -
When you import games you can tell LB in to combine games with matching titles (this only works when you are importing them all at the same time). There is a check box for that in the import UI. As an FYI...If you have games that were already imported as individual games into LB you can select them all, right click, then choose the option to combine (or highlight them all and CTRL+SHIFT+C).

You can find many user generated playlists here. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/23-playlists/
-
@bwunk I would recommend providing a pic of what you are seeing. This way we can stop assuming you mean they just do not look good since it is an old console.
-
Depends on the view you are using. Look in your BB settings where you change the themes and it will tell you what view you have set. If you are using different views for each platform's game list then you can look inside the theme's folder. In there you will find a BigBoxSettingsOverride.xaml. Open that and it will tell you what view you are suing for the games level.

There is a sort of "Friend discount" for a license?
Retro808 replied to xevious1974's topic in Noobs
You can do this. The purchase will be in your information so it would have your email/name. After you make the purchase email the team and you can ask them to issue the license in his name since it is a gift. They should be able to update the license and send you a new one. support@unbrokensoftware.com -
There is a sort of "Friend discount" for a license?
Retro808 replied to xevious1974's topic in Noobs
Only discounts have ever come on Black Friday. The past 7 years of using LB I do not recall any type of grandfather or friends discount. When LB price changed Jason did grandfather licenses purchased before the increase to only be charged the old price when they renew their license. That is the only grandfathering I have seen. -
If you are adding the image via the game edit screens in LB then you cannot change that LB typically defaults its initial selection to Box-Front. That is the way it is coded in the back end. If you do not want to do the click and choose option easiest way is simply name the image exactly as the game is named in LB and drop it in the correct image folder. LB will attach the image directly. If it does not show refresh the image cache.
-
Because that original drop-down list was not meant as an “end all be all”. It was just a starting point. Users can manually add any platform or custom platform name desired.
-
It would remove them since the Full Mame Set import option will generate a new Arcade.xaml in your \Data\Platforms folder. You would have to manually add them again.
