  1. Yes, but not as an option to set in BB. You would have the edit the theme’s code and create something like a storyboard to animate the images. You could animate movement or their opacity. If it was a theme created using the Community Theme Creator and the developer shared the theme creation files you can use that to edit in the CTC and it has some really good tools to do these animations without needing to know actual coding.
  2. Its not a bug or an oversight. It is by design. The full set option does not actually import roms. It uses Mame’s actual Mame.xaml to simply list the roms noted as “playable” by Mame itself. Moving roms would only be possible with a non-merged set as ant other set would not include the needed support files for various roms. So you could use the feature request option (located under Help & Support) to request a move feature in Full Mame option if the users has a non-merged set.
  3. It will if the rom is not supposed to be extracted. Such as in Mame.
  4. If they are actual LB playlists (ones you downloaded from our forum from other users) you can place the xaml files in \Launchbox\Data\Playlist folder.
  5. In your BB settings look inside the Keyboard Mapping and/or the Controller Mapping page. See if you have a key or button bound to the option for "Change View". If you do back out into the theme and hit that key or button. You will see the view change in real time. Keep changing it until you get to the view you want or used to be on.
  6. If you are manually adding the newer image to the folders the old image is still retained in the image cache. So when you go into LB and then edit images from the metadata screens you need to refresh the image cache. This would typically occur if you had LB open when manually dropping the files in the folder.
  7. You cannot play games without the actual roms. You need to download the actual zipped rom files and if you followed the steps in the first post you would not end up with just an xml file. Not sure where you are downloading the Mame rom pack from but if it is just an xml file that is your issue.
  8. Just uncheck the box for background updates and see how it goes from there. Like I mentioned I have had mixed issues with that on. Since turning it off I have never had an update issue.
  9. Yeah, this is why I was asking if the OP could post what fixed the issue. In case it is something other than what we have commonly known to be needed.
  10. What happens if you click the actual exe file in your \Launchbox folder versus the desktop shortcut?
  11. I am familiar with what his error message is and the Windows Runtime 3.1 is what we commonly link to for users with .net install issues to manually install. Was curious to what the original poster did as there have only been a couple Win 11 issues. Also SDK is not needed. The runtime has everything needed for LB. The SDK is just used to create and compile applications using .Net Core. So it os recommended to just download the runtime.
  12. Apologies you did not get any response on this. Glad you got sorted. Would you mind advising what you ended up doing in case someone else runs across the same issue with Win 11.
  13. You do not really need to set it up as a second Mame. Its just a recompiled Mame that keeps all the original playable Mame roms and adds MM2 support. If you got a good recompile it would also have Akai Katana and DoDonPachi support since those were removed a few version ago. So you can just use this as Mame for all your roms. Similar to the NoNag that MadK9 posts on our forum each month.
  14. That is the Default startup theme. The loading progress bar works only when the option to "Extract ROM archives before running" is set for an emulator. It is that way with any Startup Theme that has the line of code to include the status bar.
  15. You getting your set from Pleasuredome? Just tested 244 from the PD torrent and downloading just fine.
  16. You just run the full set importer again. You do not need to delete anything.
  17. Also how do you have updates set to run? Do you have the option for "Automatically Download Updates in the Background" on? I have seen that option on some of my cabinets be quirky. So I turned it off and never had update issues.
  18. LB does do partial matches but you need to use a legitimate partial string to a title. Such as "Alone In The". Not random title words. If you do wish to make this a suggestion than those are made on our bitbucket site. Link is located at the top of the forum under Help & Support.
  19. No. Older versions are not available from the site. You can look in your updates folder. If you have not deleted anything in there all the past versions you installed are there. You can simply select the one you want and run the installer. Keep in mind reverting means you loose any feature updates not present in the version. Also as BB/LB features change sometimes themes will no longer work properly on older versions.
  20. All image are filed in the \LaunchBox\Images folder. In addition to using the Metadata window in each game you can also manually add single files or bulk files there.
  21. Look in your \Launchbox folder and if you see a file named License.xml delete it. The license in there is know to be a shared/pirated license.
  22. What is the platform name of your Mame roms? I see you have an Associated Platform for "Arcade" and one for "Mame". We ask these simple questions as it is not uncommon for what someone thinks is a non-issue to end up actually being the issue. Can you share a few more pics so we can see your full set-up and it how it all links? In the Manage Emulator screen show a pic of the Details page for Retroarch. Edit an arcade/mame game and share 3 pics (1 of the Metadata page, 1 of the Emulation page, and 1 of the Launching page).
  23. First, do you have more than one Retroarch set-up in LB? Just wanting to confirm as we have chased issues before only to find out a user had more than one Retroarch and the games were pointing to the wrong one. I would right click a game and edit it. Then in the Emulation page confirm the game is pointing to Retroarch. In Manage Emulators if you have the core selected for the Associated Platform LB should remember that when you click "OK" to save the change. Can you edit your Retroarch and share a pic of the Associated Platforms tab make sure it shows the Arcade platform name in the pic. It sounds to me like you have a couple of different settings conflicting with each other somewhere in LB.
  24. The way Faeran described the filing is to use the images with that theme and that theme only. So if you file images in the theme's folder structure only that theme will use the images. If you file theme here and the images do not show you may need to refresh the image cache. Which is why he had that specific step also included in his notes. There is an option for it in your BB settings. The way you filed it in your post if the default global image location. Images posted in the LaunchBox\Images folder will be shared by all themes.
  25. Merged your thread as there was already a post about this exact issue. @C-Beats addressed the reason you may be seing in an earlier post.
