  1. No, that was not coincidence. That was flat out related to the specific platform and knowing more details up front eliminates a lot of things. The simple fact is the more specific details any user can provide the more accurately and efficiently we can troubleshoot. We can sit here all day and go into what if’s, but the devil is always in the details. I think the horse has been beaten. So let us just move on and end it here.
  2. What you mocked up is quite literally what we have been telling you. All you made is a theme view. Its not something that needs to be coded in LB/BB by our devs. It is something a theme creator can make, keep in mind that view would also be the same for the platform level so not conducive to a good theme look.. The pic I posted of the Play Box theme is exactly this. After the BB startup video you get dumped into that main view which gives you all the same categories your pic has. It even allows you to pick from a list of your recently played games. The same thing you are asking for with just a flashier layout. You can even make what you laid out to use in a theme by using the Community Theme Creator tool.
  3. Yeah it is a bit confusing what you mean. Based on your initial post, Other than the "Welcome to..." this is exactly what you mentioned. It does not put you right into a game and gives you options to select categories. BigBox is offering you an initial choice through a menu.
  4. You just need set the view to Platform Category. Then you can have that list. As far as the "Welcome to BigBox Colorful". That can simply be themed by a theme creator. The product has evolved. That's why themes are getting more and more creative thanks to the evolution of the product.
  5. Great to see some more theme options and theme creators.. I would recommend at least giving credit to @Juketsu since this is a slight retool of his Slipstream theme.
  6. It also helps to delete the LB ID and then search for the name if you already have a LB ID linked to the game. Without the ID LB will do a broader name search..
  7. How are you searching for the game? What steps are you taking to try and get it linked to your Steam version? Comes up fine for me.
  8. Are you using any AHK scripts to close DuckStation? If you are depending on the code that could be the issue. DuckStation I believe by default has the option ticked for "Save State on Exit". If your AHK script has code for "Process, Close" in it that is not allowing DuckStation to close properly and therefore not actually saving the game Save State. If you are not using any AHK then disregard and it could be as Neil stated.
  9. All Platform / Platform Category / Playlist videos will need to be placed in the path below. Each video needs to be named exactly as your platform, platform category, or playlist is named in LB. Platform videos folder: \Launchbox\Videos\Platforms Example: if your platform is named "Nintendo NES". The video file and folder would be \Launchbox\Videos\Platforms\Nintendo NES.mp4. Playlist videos folder: \Launchbox\Videos\Playlists Example: if your playlist is named "Resident Evil Collection". The video file and folder would be \Launchbox\Videos\Playlists\Resident Evil Collection.mp4. Platform Category videos folder: \Launchbox\Videos\Platform Categories Example: if your platform category is named "Consoles". The video file and folder would be \Launchbox\Videos\Platform Categories\Consoles.mp4.
  10. No worries. Just trying to keep us on track so the team does not have to weed through all these EmuMovies posts and they can focus on beta testing issues.
  11. This issue is not beta related. For Emumovie download issues you can use this thread.
  12. You can have multiple themes and set them on a Per Platform basis. There is no Per Game option since the game shows inside the platform.
  13. The most efficient/effective way would be to use LB Image Priorities. This will allow you to set fallback images to use in absence of your primary image. You can select as many backup images as you would and prioritize their order. In LB >Tools >Options you will see the Image Priorities for several image types. Select the images and then you can use the "Move Selected" buttons to individually move an image type up and down in the order you want them. For example: If you have 3D Box Front as your primary Image. You can select Box Front as a back up and say Clear Logo as a second backup. If a game is missing a 3D Box it will display the Box Front and if it is also missing Box Front it will then look for Clear Logo. Good thing about this is if you eventually add the missing image you do not need to change any settings.
  14. It will not harm anyone but telling someone to download something the do not need is an unnecessary step.
  15. Ah, yeah that could be it. The space between the name and -01. FYI OBS is a free software and is perfect for screen captures to help provide videos for troubleshooting.
  16. LB does not add any strange "characters" when adding images. It does append multiple images with a "-01", "-02" and so on. As well as replacing any game title with ":" in the name to an "_" since Windows does not allow the ":" in file names. If at all possible can you try and capture this occurring on video it might be helpful. I tried to find the post you were referencing but had no luck.
  17. The 2 devs are aware. Please keep in mind they are constantly working on their normal development and looking into the issues reported. They do not always respond to all posts. We understand the importance of things working smoothly and do not discount any issues any user(s) may experience, but please have patience and allow them to dedicate their time to their work.
  18. In LB got to >Tools >Manage >Emulators. When you edit an emulator you can adjust the settings there for emulator specific Pause settings.
  19. That fine, and you should specify that. More often users are downloading the full mame set (which is clearly what this user is doing) and advising them they also need the bios back is giving them bad advice. .
  20. No. You did not mention you did these exact steps in your other post which is why I said it seemed like you did not do what I mentioned. Honestly, I am not sure. I know these steps work on my builds. I have seen a few others post they see the same return to LB/BB before the game finally shows up. However, I do not recall if those users ever found a solution. I still recommend adjusting the Startup delay specifically for Mame. In many instances the first time you launch Mame (from a fresh start of LB/BB) it takes longer than subsequent launches of Mame games.
  21. Reading all this and it seems like you did not test what I advised at all.
  22. We are good in faith as evident by all the help you can see in all the other threads. We understand you are having trouble figuring this out. That is why we are offering help. This is clearly a set-up issue on your end. If the themes simply did not work it would not work for everyone and our forum would be full of your exact issue. It is not. When you are ready to actually listen and do the things others have already advised you to do you can start a new thread. Thread is being locked.
  23. Not sure, but I would say If it was it would affect everyone. Try turning off Startup themes completely and launching a Mame game. Calculate how long it is taking Mame to be launched and show that game on your system. Then adjust the startup delay for Mame in the Manage Platforms setting (not the main LB or BB setting) and see if anything changes. Adjust the time longer than it needs to give it a buffer. Try testing different lengths of time.
  24. Contrary to popular belief no one is "entitled" anything regardless of pay status. Our forum "offers" help and a majority of it comes from users and moderators volunteering their time for free. You have already been warned by one of our devs about your tone and negativity. If you wish to request assistance in figuring things out I would recommend a bit more understanding to the above. Your tone is making it harder and harder to respond with assistance. Take this as your last warning.
