  1. I was going to be a die-hard OG LB klingon, but the thing that tempted me to use Next full time was the clicking of a game icon, or right clicking a game icon and the reaction being almost instantaneous, whereas there was always a slight delay with OG LB. That's not a criticism of good old OG LB. It is what it is.
  2. I don't know too much about your specific 'problem' that you need solving, but you can certainly run an AHK script, or batch file with Windows games by importing them as an "Additional Application" and then combining it (or them) with your Windows shortcut. You can then set the AHK script or batch file to "run before" the main application. It is a manual process and a little more time consuming than the built in LaunchBox AHK thing that works with emulators.
  3. Has anyone done any imports in the last week or so and finding that the downloading media is going super slow? I'm importing a Neo Geo set of ROMS at the moment. 130 or so games, with all the boxes checked apart from videos as I already have those. Normally this would have been done in 15 to 30 minutes but it's been taking hours this afternoon. I reckon by the time it's finished, it would have taken about 4 hours. I have closed my LaunchBox, rebooted my computer, even updated my LaunchBox from 7.14 to the latest 8.3 today to see if that was the problem but no change. It's definitely NOT my connection. I did an import of about 140 PS2 games about 2 days ago and the same thing happened. It seems to get stuck for ages on one file, and then whizz through the next few files, and then get stuck again......and on. It's definitely the LB database and not EmuMovies as the files it gets stuck on are the LB ones. ***This is not a moan by the way. Concerned and would like to turn off my overheating PC soon heh.
  4. I tried this game today. I have to be honest, the voice-over got on my nerves so much that I was heading for the delete button in a little under 5 minutes. Thanks to the OP for the heads up though. This is not a criticism aimed at you by the way. Infact, the voice-over in the official Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy menu is also starting to really piss me off. I wish there was some way to turn it off.
  5. Ahh thank gawd for that. We love the Zombie Beaver. That guy is a goldmine of information, and a nice fella too. Much love to you too LordMonkus. I can't leave you out......especially as I may need to pick your brains about the Sharp x68000 in RetroArch in the near future ?
  6. Hehe that's very tactile of you ed209, but I'll leave it to mystery Has anyone seen Zombeaver around lately? I haven't seen him for ages.
  7. She is a personal friend of Jason's I believe. I was going to wax lyrical about how pretty she is, but Jason might reach through his computer monitor and punch me on the nose, so I won't do that. We have ETA Prime, whom I have an image of him looking like Tom Cruise with a Southern accent, so it's not all bad ?
  8. I am only joking of course. I have a spent a lot of 'life' making sure I have video's for everything. Platforms such as MS-DOS, Nintendo 3DS, ScummVM need a lot of manual video chasing as the Emumovies doesn't hold too much of these (not a complaint at Emumovies btw, it is what it is). It can be a real bind....having to get everything....but of course it is a slight OCD mindset. Once it is done though, it's done forever. I'd LOVE to be able what LordMonkus does and go "eff it" and hit the delete button haha.
  9. Wood Hawker is a big Nintendo Switch star now.
  10. Wha?! So you don't do like I do and spend nearly the whole of today raiding YouTube for Nintendo 3DS trailers and gameplay videos and then chopping and editing them.....and then naming them exactly the same as the ROM.....with the help of a spreadsheet created from the LaunchBox Audit feature? You must be mad
  11. A highly under-rated post that even the thread's OP failed to acknowledge. This worked for that Castlevania game. This has opened up my eyes to configuring individual games in Dolphin. Thanks Bro.
  12. Ahh ok. I guess Typhon and myself were worried that you were being 'bludgeoned' and overwhelmed with requests (from just one user). I think I've been gunning for MayorQwert ever since he made the "feels somewhat lacking" comment earlier in the thread.
  13. You know, I see where you're coming from Typhon. A well written post. The above quote is something that ground my gears a little before you made your post but I feel compelled to speak because I thought it might just be me being grumpy. "Look forward to future updates" pfffft.......like Grila is chained to his desk churning out updates for MayorQwert......slightly passive aggressive. "I don't want anybody thinking the plugin is broke if they happen to be messing with it while I'm not there." <---- what like burglars and stuff? How many people are roaming around your house on your machine when you're not there? Another user on here called Dan does this sort of passive aggressive nit-picking and contributes NOTHING. Constantly harassing eXoDOS with the same questions over and over about "what it if I do this?" and "shall I extract it over there?" and "I don't want to take a chance because things normally go wrong for me". Pisses me off. TBH I'm happy with what Grila did in the first instance where the Random Game selector was in the options menu. It selects a random game and that is that. All this adding complexity that was being suggested "multiplayer games", "co-op games" blah blah blah "for when I have my buddies around". Thanks Grila. No more, no less.
  14. I missed the joke at the beginning as well. Phew, I thought jayjay had gone Dark Side for a moment there. He is a nice fella and (I'm guessing by words he uses) a fellow Brit and an AHK scripting fiend.
  15. So we have Neil talking about playing with a knob and LordMonkus's box is really small. Ooooh LaunchBox!
  16. How to install this? Do we just put the DLL in the plugin folder? :-)
  17. Yeah, I realise the use case for this now. Nintendo DS / DesMuME in particular needs to have different "core options" for each view. The options for side by side view and top bottom views etc are stored in the "core options" file and you can only have one of these per core. I tried copying and renaming a core to achieve this but no luck. This core splitting shindiggery has enabled me to save have 5 DeSmuME cores, and 5 separate DS configurations.
  18. Thanks mate. Yeah, those two things I thought were gonna be all in your face, and I don't want to use either of them.
  19. I'm still on version 7.14 and have been hesitant to update. One of the reasons is RetroAchievements and the star ratings. Can these be turned off in these later versions? Also, has the issue with Additional Applications been corrected? It's where you have consolidated 2 or more ROMS and then change the default emulator for the main ROM but the others still use the old emulator.
  20. This was a valuable piece of information. Have a thumbs up on me.
  21. Yeah, seems like a good idea. I've just checked my cache and I have 10,000 files in it dating back to around 2015. Bear in mind that the current version of Demul that I use is the 0.7 11-11-2017 version and I've carried these over from previous Demul versions back to probably v0.582. PM me for a link. They are 100mb unpacked, 600k compressed lol. I'd suggest do a Malware / Virus scan on the archive first and to rename your existing folder to "scache-old" or something, just incase you want to use it again and my one doesn't make any difference.
