broskiplays Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) Heya, it's me back at it again with my first ever theme collab for a Launchbox theme. Me and @faeran wanted to create a platform line of themes, with each theme resembling the platform feel and looks. But instead of having multiple themes like Coverbox (Which we will add eventually once we have all the platform pages changed into something unique) we want to make one theme that represents each and every system in it's best way possible. From their authenticated colors to their classic games all proudly showcased so you can show it off to everyone you like. We will keep you all updated of course with screenshots, media and more. And we hope to eventually release this theme for everyone to enjoy. This handheld beast boasted over 140 million sales worldwide and is still the best selling handheld of all time. I tried to make use of a raster with the green LCD overlay which the Game Boy is known for. I also added a details tab and the authentic lines to make it all fit together. Let me know what you think of this first concept art. footage will come soon. CriticalCid Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Do I smell a competitor for Unified? Just kidding, it looks really promising! I really love the CoverBox themes from both of you guys but I'm not a fan of having so many themes just for single systems, so this here will gonna be a much better fit for me. I’m really excited to see what you guys have in store for us 3 1 1 Quote

Retro808 Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 This definitely looks intriguing. Unified theme runs my main cabinet, the coverbox themes are on another system. This looks promising for the bartop that is in progress. Quote

Styphelus Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Looks great but Windows games are widescreen. They are going to look weird in a square. Also, what's with the X-Box one? There isn't a X-Box emulator is there? I'm curious about that one. Aside from that, this looks good. but looks like a lot of work if you're going to do 200 of them for all the different systems. eatkinola Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Your artwork looks very nice! I suggest erasing the trademark symbols on the logos. I think that'd be okay since this is not for commercial use, and those things look like little warts on your nice artwork. Of course, maybe I'm totally an outlier here; just wanted to give my two cents. Quote

damageinc86 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Super cool idea. I'd like to have a "pc games " option instead of Windows, and maybe a few different versions of the DS? This does really look promising though ! Quote
