I had a day to spare on the weekend and wanted to try my hand at a LaunchBox plugin. This is the result. I don't plan to actively develop it too much moving forward, as this was very much a weekend hobby experiment project. Still, it works, and I figured I would share it in case it is useful to someone. Requirement: LaunchBox 13.26 or higher What does this do? It's currently a movie importer plus metadata and artwork scraper. It is designed for people who already have a local movie collection organized for apps like Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby. It imports that folder into LaunchBox with minimal fuss. It also downloads and configures MPV so movies can launch cleanly as an "emulator", and be used with a controller. Metadata and artwork provided by TheTVDB. Installation Close LaunchBox Download the 7z archive Unblock the archive in Windows if needed (Right click > Properties > Unblock) Extract it into your LaunchBox Plugins folder Your structure should end up like this: LaunchBox\Plugins\CinemaBox\CinemaBox.dll LaunchBox\Plugins\CinemaBox\CinemaBox.deps.json How to use Tools > CinemaBox Runs the import and downloads and configures MPV. Right click a movie > CinemaBox > Change Match (TVDB) Rematch the movie and re download metadata and artwork. Right click a movie > CinemaBox > Media Download (Replace Artwork) Grab alternate artwork. A few things to be aware of: Matching is based on folder and file names. If your naming is messy, results may be messy. If TheTVDB changes their API, this plugin can break. Heavy scraping could potentially hit API rate limits. MPV configuration is basic and meant to “just work”. If something breaks, feel free to post about it. I'll be checking in every now and then, and may be able to fix it. Uninstall Close LaunchBox Delete the folder: LaunchBox\Plugins\CinemaBox

Ready for the ride? Let me take you back to that 80s / early 2000s retrogaming vibe, when every theme felt like a playground and everything was still waiting to be discovered. These themes won’t necessarily be for everyone. Some have a very distinctive style, sometimes a bit wild. But I’m sharing them exactly as they are, without any retouching, because that’s where everything began. These are the first steps of a journey that would later grow into much bigger projects. And honestly… with all the gloomy news we keep hearing these days, a little nostalgic escape can’t hurt. So come along. Let’s rewind the cassette, switch the arcade machines back on… and revisit the very first steps of this adventure. And who knows… you might already spot, in these early themes, the first seeds of what would eventually become my custom big box Nostalgic Bedroom. 🎮✨ _________ I’ve made a lot… and I mean a lot of these over the years. Give me a little time to properly archive everything, and I’ll put together a massive zip pack for you. Something that really brings the thunder. Here's the newest versions of my Playlists. Most of these have been uploaded here already but some have been improved or re-done. There are a few new ones too. No images here, just the .xml files from my Data / Playlists folder. *I've since found a couple that were duplicated, UBISOFT and WARNER BROS. Also, WAR is incorrect and should be deleted (recreate with GENRE = Action; Shooter)* Let me know if you see any others that need correcting.

A few theme videos and video snaps I made for the Playstation 4. Focusing mostly on exclusives that are somewhat playable on emulators. How to add them to your LaunchBox and BigBox: Download the zip file. Extract to LaunchBox's root folder. Content will be extracted to its proper folders. Done! Theme videos and video snaps will show up on BigBox and LaunchBox. Just make sure your game's name matches the video's file name. For an optimal experience, use BigBox themes that support fullscreen videos views like the Unified themss and change the transitions to Fade or Quick Fade. Previews: List of Games: Bloodborne DriveClub The Last Guardian Gravity Rush Remastered InFAMOUS Second Son The Order: 1886 (not playable yet) P.T. Technical Details: Theme videos are 1080p or 1440p, encoded using HEVC for optimal file size. Video snaps are 720p and are encoded using x264 for compatibility. Them videops' audio is 160 kbps aac, video snaps 96-160 kbps aac. Looking for a title not on the list? Check out the PC Games Theme Videos thread, it has a lot of theme videos for Windows games that are also on PS4:

**This removes the nag screen that informs you if a rom doesn't work correctly, or if at all, if you use this no nag, then please do NOT go to the mame support site with issues with games, please only use if you understand that there will be no help from anyone at mamedev as you are using a modified version of mame. Contents: mame.exe - Normal Mame with Nags removed. (Note mame no longer carries the 64 in its exe name changed by Devs in 0.229) This version also allows the games Akai Katana and Dodonpachi Saidaioujou to be played. It's advisable to download the full mame official pack and install it, then just overwrite the exe with the replacement, this covers any changes the mame devs may have made to the support files. After you have done this, make sure you copy the folders artwork, ctrlr, cheat, hlsl, ini, folders and the ini files from the root of your original mame folder, and move/copy them to the new install. If you are using your own installed/setup of mame then make sure you also set in the mame.ini 'Skip_gameinfo 1' If you got Launchbox to setup mame for you when asked, you only need to replace the exe and play. As some are not sure about False Positives, and report a virus was detected, As goes for all versions i upload, they are all ran through virustotal before i upload, and if by any chance something did end up with an issue it would be noticed very quickly after upload and would be removed/restricted. 0.285 - VirusTotal - File - 4bcfb12b87f63afa1f0241915d7e812ecbf14e83faa6ed62af1b49582d70930d All NEW versions of the No-Nag will be posted in this download thread only, if you wish to get the new releases every month, either follow myself or the thread, As the download section will not show any new releases.

Intro Note; Originally taken from Reddit, posted by Echoj2. I found these while looking into making an English 1G1R set. It includes Japanese games that are not English but have little to no Japanese text which afaik is very difficult to do using clrmamepro. You will to build your own up-to-date No-Intro set or you will be missing some roms. This morning I made some No-Intro-based batch files for various console and handhelds for someone in another post. Seeing as they might be useful to some people, I decided to post them here as well. 1G1R means "One Game One ROM", which further means that there is only one copy of each game. The Batch Files These were made with the following ROMs in the order listed. USA Europe - Exclusives and Semi-Exclusives That Require Localization Only Japan (En) - Japan Games That Are In English Japan - English-Friendly Japan Games That Are Semi-Exclusive To Europe Basic Info Just grab each ZIP for the systems you want from the folder, unpack them, run the batch files in the system's No-Intro ROM Set's ROM ZIP folder, then you'll have a new folder of ROMs including just the English games. You should know that if your No-Intro ROM Set is outdated on the names for the ROM ZIPs, then the batch files will not get every game; the same goes for if they are updated as well, but only Japanese games change names often. That's just how things go and you'll have to update your No-Intro ROM Sets then make your own 1G1R ROM Set to be certain you have everything, which you can read how to do directly below. However, keep in mind you can also use my new future-proof DAT files instead of No-Intro's latest 1G1R DAT files, with the advantage of mine being that I have the multi-cart re-releases and special controller games removed (among other things). Changelog 2017-11-07: Cleaned up Atari 2600 bat. Think it is the only way to get a No-Intro 1G1R ROM Set (barring the special controller required games) for Atari 2600 on the internet now. Still need to prune bad prototypes... well... the ones that have the (Proto) tag and don't work or are too unfinished; published prototypes (yeah, they did that back then) are treated the same as published finished games since they were widespread released. 2018-03-19: Today I finished the Atari 2600 batch file. It's about as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned. The unreleased game prototypes have been pruned down to what appears to only be the games that are complete enough to be called games. Can't be sure I have every Atari 2600 game or the best version of games that were renamed and re-released, but its current state is about as good as it gets. 2018-03-20: Updated the problem spreadsheet. Mostly a bunch of N/A for lots of systems. Updated some batch files here and there, though nothing major outside of finally getting rid of the emulated NES ports in the GBA batch file. 2018-04-06: Lots of updating over the past few days. Most Semi-Exclusive Europe games should now be replaced wherever possible with English-Friendly Japan games. Numerous Special Controller Required games also removed, though not completely. 2018-04-09: Added Magnavox - Odyssey2 batch file in preparation of the new RetroArch update that will add keyboard to gamepad remapping. 2018-04-10: I've done horrible things today. Fixed N64 batch file so that it gets "Superman - The New Superman Aventures" and learned more about a game I wish I could forget. Added the unlicensed Tengen and Codemasters games to the NES batch file due to their their fame/notoriety, respectfully. Tengen made some fine games, while Codemasters... made a few good ones... I promise. Updated all batch files to No-Intro names as of 2018-04-08 and have made a mental note to not update again until nearly future-proof custom 1G1R DATs are made. 2018-05-16: The future-proof DATs have been made! They are included with each batch file in case there is a name issue with batch files. Just need to tackle the prototype pruning, then prune the whole Odyssey2/Videopac batch/DAT due to the emulators incompatibilities and make a Videopac+ batch/DAT that has gone through the same process as the Odyssey2/Videopac. 2018-05-18: Added 1G1R lists for Sega CD and TurboGrafx-CD. Hope someone finds them useful, though I can't say for certain how accurate the TurboGrafx-CD one is due to the fact I only spent a minimal amount of time time removing USA released games from my main Japan collection: please report any duplicates. 2018-07-04: Full update of batches and DATs, and slightly improved all of them (hopefully). Added Intellivision now that No-Intro supports it. Put all DATs in a single archive since anyone that knows how to use them would just want to get them, and save all other users from downloading something they aren't going to use. 2018-07-13: Updated batches and DATs again. Narrowed scope of project to just official releases, a few notable unlicensed on the NES, and two prototypes that should just be unpublished in the USA yet complete otherwise.

Second Screen Companion - View Manuals, Guides, & Media on your Phone! Second Screen Companion is a lightweight LaunchBox plugin that instantly turns your smartphone or tablet into a dedicated companion hub for whatever game you are currently playing. Whenever you launch a game, the plugin silently starts a local web server. Just scan a QR code, and your phone will instantly load a beautiful, dark-mode hub containing all of the game's manuals, strategy guides, artwork, and media so you can browse them while you play! 🌟 Features The Companion Hub: A sleek, mobile-optimized webpage that automatically uses your game's Clear Logo and Fanart Background for a premium look. Comprehensive Media Scanner: Automatically finds and serves: 📖 Documents: Game Manuals and Strategy Guides (pulled dynamically from your Additional Apps). 🖼️ Artwork: Front/Back Box Art, Discs, Carts, Clear Logos, Fanart, Storefront Posters, and dozens of other image folders. 🎵 Media: Automatically plays your game's Theme Music or Gameplay Videos right in your mobile browser via native HTML5 players. Smart Image Viewer: Transparent PNGs (like Clear Logos or isolated box art) are displayed over a dark-mode checkerboard background so they always look perfect and never vanish into a black screen. One-Click Network Setup: Built-in tools to automatically open the required Windows Firewall ports so you don't have to mess with command prompts. 🛠️ Installation Download the latest release zip file and unpack in your LaunchBox\Plugins\ directory. You might have to right-click the dll file, go to Properties, and check the "Unblock" box at the bottom (this is required by Windows for downloaded DLLs). Extract the Second Screen Companion folder directly into your LaunchBox\Plugins\ directory. (You should have a folder path that looks like: LaunchBox\Plugins\Second Screen Companion\WirelessScreenServer.dll and QRCoder.dll) 📱 How to Set Up & Use Open LaunchBox. Go to the top menu and click Tools -> Second Screen Companion Settings. You can leave the Default Port as 8080, or change it if you have conflicts. Click Apply Network Rules (Admin). This will trigger a Windows prompt to automatically open the port in Windows Firewall for the server. (You only need to do this once!) Click Test Connection QR. Scan it with your phone's camera. If your phone and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network, you will see a green "Success!" screen. Play a game! The next time you launch a game, access the host pc ip on the port assigned. The hub will automatically populate with all the media for the active game. ⚠️ Troubleshooting / Notes Same Network Required: Your phone/tablet and your LaunchBox PC must be connected to the same local network/Wi-Fi. Missing Media? The plugin strictly reads the media you have stored in your LaunchBox folders. If LaunchBox doesn't have a manual or video for the game, the hub won't display it. Browser Caching: Mobile browsers like to cache things. If you swap games and the phone still shows the old game, just pull down to refresh the page!

UPDATE: Added cheats to the table below. Another huge thanks to @Joejoe for providing these. UPDATE 2: Fixed ManxTT lack of engine sound and Danger Screen at startup. Dynamite Deka 2 Added. UPDATE 3: Using new LUA scripts that include cheats, a scanline option and more refined widescreen scripting. Added DINPUT control configuration using a PS4 controller. More fixes in change log. You can use F5 to toggle between 16:9 and 4:3 when using widescreen scripts. UPDATE 4: Quite a Big One A whole bunch of inputs moved for better play. Gears are on the face buttons now, fighters have had some inputs moved. Images updated of course. All of the other Daytona USA versions/hacks have been added. ManxTT fixed properly properly. I promise. Changed the rom to the twin version 'manxttc' and set to twin in test menu. No more stupid error every time you turn, which caused a Japanese voiced error audio sample to be played...every time you turned. Very annoying....but it's gone now. ManxTT and Over Rev should now track straight when not holding the stick. This was an error on my part. Now fixed. Full Fat 1440x1080 60FPS 30s Videos have been added. Freshly made by me, clean high quality videos. Clear Logos & Flyer Fronts. I made the other Daytona clear logos up to match the normal one, came out nice actually. Also made up some flyers for some of the Daytona hacks and Sega Rally. Every game has a bespoke clear logo & flyer. No doubles. Custom Platform XML provided. In the description of every game will be my emulation notes for that game & any cheats. Genres/categories/no. of players had been adjusted so auto playlists with catch them correctly. DINPUT better configured. I'm not gonna lie, after looking at what I had previously done I was disgusted. This is now configured just as good as the xinput version. So you know the drill with these releases. The intention is to take these awkward to set up emulators, and make them as plug and play as possible for those using a PC, controller, mouse and light guns. Here is the follow up to the Supermodel project I completed a little while ago. The Model 2 setup was far more forgiving and didn't make me want to trash my computer. That's not to say there aren't some interesting and awkward things going on that needed some attention, however these were far more easy to fix. As per usual many hours have been put into this project with much testing and in the case of getting 2 Player Mouse support, a lot of calibrating. This has only been configured for the parent rom versions only. 1G1R Instructions - Super Simples -Download Model 2 Emulator -Use MERGED ROMS. imma say it again MERGED ROMS. -Download Pre Config File Folders On This Page (Make sure you select your correct input type) -Place in Model 2 folder and replace any files. -Widescreen scripts are being used as default. If you only want 4:3, replace the scrips with the 4:3 ones provided in Scripts Folder. -DONE!!!!! What this configuration will give you: 2 Player Mouse Support for Light Gun Games - Resolution Specific 1920x1080 - If You Change Resolution It Will Be Inaccurate I cant tell you how awkward and difficult it was to get this to work. Due to RawInput being a must for 2 mice, the calibration doesn't scale into different resolutions. This means you can't calibrate it using the auto calibration (shooting targets) in its test menu, as it'll be inaccurate no matter how perfectly you shoot those calibration targets. You can't even calibrate at native resolution to make it 1 to 1 and then increase the resolution. Thankfully Virtua Cop 1 & 2 both have a manual adjustment feature meaning I could off set the adjustment to get PERFECT pin point accuracy. Behind Enemy Lines was awkward but not impossible to get accurate, as it doesn't display where your actual in game cursor position is on screen. Only X and Y coordinates are displayed, which was just enough info to get it accurate. Gunblade on the other hand gives you absolutely no on screen info at all when calibrating, it's as accurate as I can get it. What is really weird is that some of these games are accurate out the box with RawInput off, but needed recalibrating when I enabled RawInput. But now if you turn off RawInput it is still accurate after calibrating for RawInput. That's great as switching between the two is seamless and retains accuracy. Best of both worlds, as having RawInput off for single player gives you more mouse sensitivity. No Screen Flash for Virtua Cop 1 & 2 and House of the Dead LUA scripts are included as standard to remove the screen flash that would happen every time you pull the trigger. All the other Light Gun Games don't have screen flash by design so all of these shooters do not flash. Controls Configured with Images for Every Game All controls have been pre configured for both players. I have also made images for the layout of every game. Controls were tested the most. I found some strange/broken controls that needed some thought. Sky Target has a broken up and down analogue input, however simply mapping this as a digital input to the left stick up and down is a perfect workaround. Desert Tank benefits from no analogue inputs also, I have got it to control exactly like the vehicles in Halo which is neat. Aside from that there are various racing games that have inverted pedals that needed the Invert option checked in the control calibration options. All Games In English - All Games Free Play This speaks for itself. All test menus adjusted to let these games play in English and in Free Play mode. Test Menu Fixes and Unlocked Hidden Game Modes Network Board Not Present.....Done. Unlocking all game modes in Virtua Striker....Done. Calibrating analogue inputs in 'Volume Adjustment' (Yeah I thought it was to do with audio too) so controls are correct and use the entire travel of the analogue range so racing games aren't twitchy....Done. A whole bunch of tweaks from CRT modes giving better brightness to extending game times among a shed load of other crap that enhances the experience in some way.....Done. Optional 16:9 Anamorphic Widescreen LUA Scripts Put these in the scripts folder and boom...proper widescreen no stretching. These work way way way way better than the temperamental widescreen option in the EMULATOR.INI file, which only works half the time depending on how your graphics are scaling etc etc etc etc. Just use the LUA scripts instead for better results and no headaches, I command it. I love this feature, House of the Dead and Gunblade even allow you to shoot into the 16:9 space. DOCUMENTATION / CHECKLIST. 🎮 PC Game Scraper for LaunchBox PC Game Scraper is a robust metadata and media scraping plugin for LaunchBox. It intelligently prioritizes Steam for PC game metadata and IGDB for console titles. It leverages SteamGridDB for high-quality frontend artwork and YouTube (via yt-dlp) for video trailers. The plugin features advanced integration with HowLongToBeat (via FlareSolverr), now upgraded with a dedicated "Console Fork" to pull version-specific completion times directly from the site’s internal data. 🛠️ Dependencies & Requirements To use all features, the following components are required or recommended. I've included everything I can for your convenience. If you are not comfortable with them or do not want to use the optional Deno.exe. You may download your own or remove Deno.exe if you don't plan on using cookies.txt or downloading age gated videos. Required for Core Functionality yt-dlp.exe (Required for Video): The engine that downloads trailers. Must be placed in the plugin folder. ffmpeg.exe (Required for Video): Handles video merging and ensures files play correctly in LaunchBox. Recommended SteamGridDB API Key (Highly Recommended): Required for fallback images not available on Steam. IGDB Client ID & Secret (Highly Recommended): Required for all console game metadata and "Gap Filling" for PC games metadata either not on Steam or difficult to extract. FlareSolverr (Required for HLTB): A local proxy service needed to bypass Cloudflare security when fetching HowLongToBeat playtimes. cookies.txt and Deno.exe (Optional): Helps yt-dlp bypass age-restricted content gates on YouTube and sign in to your premium account. Deno.exe will solve captchas to bypass YouTube's bot protection. ⚠️ Disclaimer This plugin scrapes data from third-party sources. Please use FlareSolverr and yt-dlp responsibly and at your own discretion. ✨ Key Features 🧠 Smart Metadata Routing PC Logic: Scans Steam first. If a game is found, it then uses IGDB to "Gap Fill" fields Steam often lacks, like Series and Age Rating. Console Logic: Automatically skips Steam and routes directly to IGDB based on the game's platform. Manual Search: If automatic matching fails the user is prompted for a new search term, steam app id, steam store or igdb url. 🎬 Video Downloader Source Selector: Select your desired source, Steam or Youtube. Smart Fallback: For PC games, if Steam source is selected it attempts to grab the official Steam Store trailer first. If unavailable allows the user to switch to Youtube, or if the game is a console title, it pivots to a YouTube search and injects the platform in to the search term for better matching. Dynamic Slicer: Automatically applies your "Max Duration" limit to YouTube downloads to save disk space. YouTube videos will be cut off at the time set. A 10 minute gameplay video is cut down to 5 minutes. Resolution: Will attempt to download the desired resolution. If it is not available will scale down until one is found for the selected video. Suffix: Allows user to define desired youtube search term suffix, IE Trailer, Gameplay, etc... ⏱️ HowLongToBeat The plugin now uses two distinct methods to fetch playtimes: PC Logic: Pulls the general "blended average" from the HLTB search results. Console Logic: Loads the game's specific detail page and extracts the exact platform data (e.g., pulling GameCube-specific times for Metroid Prime rather than the Wii Remaster times). Custom Fields: Creates custom fields for dynamic playlist creation. Marathon 60h+, Long 30-60h, Extended 15-30h, Standard 5-15h, and Quick <5h, as well as the exact times provided by HLTB. 🎮 Real-World Workflow Examples If you select a game and run all three functions (Metadata, Images, and Video), here is how the plugin behaves: Example A: Windows Game (Cyberpunk 2077) Identification: Finds the game on Steam via name match. Metadata: Pulls metadata from Steam, then if client id/client secret are populated and correct hits IGDB to add additional fields not available or hard to parse from steam. Images: Grabs all available steam images. If images are missing or if SGDB override is enabled and your SGDB API is present it hits SteamGridDB. Video: Downloads the official trailer directly from the Steam Store servers or YouTube if the video source is YouTube. HLTB: If enabled and flaresolverr is setup. saves the general PC completion times to your custom fields as well as the category times mentioned above. Example B: Console Game (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for GameCube) Identification: Automatically routes to IGDB after detecting the GameCube platform. Metadata: Pulls the IGDB metadata. Images: Since no Steam ID exists, it goes straight to SteamGridDB to find the community-voted best GameCube media. Video: Recognizes it isn't a PC game and routes to YouTube to search for "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess GameCube Trailer". HLTB: Triggers the Console Fork. It ignores the Wii and Wii U times and pulls only the GameCube platform data.

UPDATE 1 - Added Extreme Hunting 2, KenJu & Force Five UPDATE 2 (11/08/2024) - Major update to folders for easy placement into the root folders of RA & LB. Everything is soooo much easier. Lightgun games can now be simply switched between Controllers & Lightguns. Inputs & Images are the same as the standalone pre config for consistency. Issue mitigations with content directory .cfg files. NEW install video coming very soon. The old one is now outdated. Lets not mess about with this one. If you are familiar with what I do then you know you are getting a quality pre configuration that has been researched and tested to death. I spend hours doing this so you don't have to. Creating configurations for play....not display. As you are most likely aware, arcade platforms are a pain to setup. Controls aren't standardised and changing settings via test menus can be tiresome. What this pre configuration gives you: Firstly I want to talk about audio separately. More to the point just how ear bleedingly loud these games are and how they care not for your main device volume. So I have lowered the volume on a per game basis in their test menus so you don't have to reach for the volume control or wince every time you start a game. Most of these games are in MONO by default. I have changed all of these to be in STEREO. Controls have been scrutinised and tested and revised and tested again. I haven't just set whatever. If a fighting game has a modern port or counterpart I have mapped it to the default layout for that modern version. Everything else has been mapped to be as intuitive as possible, and I have provided layout images so you need never be lost with buttons again. -2 Player Mouse/Light Gun Ready -All Extra & Hidden Characters unlocked. There are 7 games with unlockable content -Censored content like blood is now uncensored -Analogue Volume adjusted for the racing games. This ensures a 1:1 analogue range for the steering and pedals on a controller (makes racers steering less twitchy) -All games in English -All games set to Free Play -Controls pre configured with layout images for reference and frontends. -Light gun games calibrated for both players -Audio lowered on a per games basis -All games in Stereo -Sega Clay Shooting has native widescreen and has been setup for 16:9 INSTRUCTIONS: I have only configured for the parent versions Download RetroArch Files - Control Images & PlatformXML Place unzipped config & saves folders into the root folder of RetroArch Place unzipped Data & Images folders into the root of LaunchBox ENJOY!!! Intuitive controls and everything unlocked. Here is the documentation for this configuration. Everything I have done on a per game basis is listed here. Hi everyone, I’d like to share a small utility I created called M3U Generator. It’s designed to automatically generate .m3u files for multi-disc games, commonly used with emulators like RetroArch and others that support playlist-style disc switching. 💡 What it does: Scans a selected folder for game files (.cue, .iso, .img, .bin). Groups discs belonging to the same game (based on filenames). Creates .m3u playlist files in a subfolder named m3u. Optionally includes single-disc games as well. 📦 Features: ✅ Supports subfolder-style or flat playlist paths (..\\ or current folder). 🔍 Filter results based on a keyword (e.g., "Disc" or "CD") to process only relevant files. 📝 Displays a log of the generated .m3u content directly in the software. 🧠 Automatically names playlists based on the first disc. 🕹 Example use case: Let’s say you have these files: Game Title (Disc 1).cue Game Title (Disc 2).cue The software will create: m3u/Game Title (Disc 1).m3u With content: ..\Game Title (Disc 1).cue ..\Game Title (Disc 2).cue 📥 How to use it: Launch the application. Click "Select Folder" and choose the directory where your ROMs are located. Optionally enter a filter term like Disc to process only multi-disc games. Choose path mode (relative or current folder). Check the "Include single-disc games" option if needed. Click "Start" – the .m3u files will be generated in a m3u subfolder. The output will be shown in the result textbox and also saved to 1-m3u_results.txt.

Strategy Guide Importer & Manager A plugin to automatically batch-match and attach PDF strategy guides to your LaunchBox games, complete with a management tab to safely bulk-remove them. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Requires LaunchBox Version 13.25 or newer. ✨ Key Features Smart Matching: Ignores special characters and perfectly matches your PDFs to your LaunchBox database (e.g., Spider-Man Web of Fire.pdf matches Spider-Man: Web of Fire). Auto-Brand Extraction: Automatically tags the publisher in LaunchBox if formatted correctly (e.g., names it Strategy Guide (BradyGames)). Built-in Deduplication: Skips PDFs that are already attached to prevent menu clutter. Safe Bulk Removal: A dedicated tab to scan for and unlink attached guides. (Note: This only removes the database entry; it never deletes your actual .pdf files). 📥 Installation Create a folder named Strategy_Guide_Importer inside your LaunchBox\Plugins\ folder. Drop the plugin .dll file inside. (Optional) Right-click the .dll, select Properties, and check Unblock if Windows blocked it. Restart LaunchBox. 📖 How to Use Open LaunchBox, go to Tools, and select Strategy Guide Importer. To Import: Use Tab 1 to select your PDF folder, review the matched platforms/games, and click Save. To Remove: Use Tab 2 to scan your library for currently attached guides, check the ones you want to unlink, and click Remove. 🛠️ File Naming Best Practice For the best automatic matching and brand extraction, name your PDFs like this: Game Title - Guide Publisher.pdf (Example: Final Fantasy VII - Prima.pdf)

I use the awesome Bigbox function to display marquees on a secondary monitor. For years I've been collecting high res Mame arcade marquees from all over the internet and since the start of this project got huge help from people in the community to expand this collection, please see the credits below. Not all marquees are in 4K but many are, I've down scaled the resolution to max 3840 pixels wide and max 2160 pixels high and saved all in .jpg format for a good size and quality balance. This project includes Naomi and Atomiswave marquees as well as other arcade systems. These marquees go hand in hand with this bezel project: Credits I have forgotten where I got all marquees through the years but I know many came from the legendary @Mr. Do collection see: https://mrdo.mameworld.info/index.php and the many members that create artwork at: https://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat= @ArsInvictus is certainly one of the providers as well. Happy Christmas or Yule brothers! Arcade 3D Boxes 2.0 Important: Press follow button in the upper right corner to get notified for any future updates to this project, future updates to this page will not be pushed to the "What's New" section. I was inspired by the Mame 3D Boxes by @Robin55 and @Reevesad and the work by @spycat and @MadK9 At first I experimented to convert Robin's work to a darker color as it fits my dark colored setup better, one thing let to another and was helped enormously by @Robin55 in the process of automation and more, if it wasn't for all his help and work this project wouldn't have happened, thanks again so much brother! \m/ The 3D boxes are mostly for the Mame set (could include other emulators as well) but only includes Arcade video games, no pinball, fruit machines and such. Features: Covers based on official flyers, instruction flyers or fan art, customized official artwork and more. I've hunted down previously artwork missing from databases and/or very rare flyers, original resolution of these images can be low some times. Each box has a logo for the game, if it was missing I've hunted it down or extracted it from images (I upload these logos to the database as well) Each box has a logo of the company that either developed or published it (some flyers may have a different publisher from another region, bit confusing at times) Each box is manually color corrected, cleaned and optimized Some games have a second alternative version, made from cabinet side art, marquees or from a different region for example Please remember if you miss boxes to also check the naming convention of the file and if it is the same as the most recent version in the database. Any entry with "The" in front (Like The Astyanax) will be included in the QRST pack. NOTE! : After installing the images you have to select all (or any alphabetical range) arcade games (CTRL+A = select all) go to Tools and click 'Refresh selected images', let it load and cache and the games should now display the right 3D boxes. Hope you like Credits Thanks go out to anyone contributing and making art for the launchbox games database. Thanks for any help, encouragement and advice: @Robin55 @spycat @MadK9 @Reevesad @Jason Carr @Kondorito @zetec-s-joe @Fablog @andyco47 @mikty @PoloniumRain Special thanks to: @neil9000 and @Retro808 for those logistics \m/

I have a homemade arcade cabinet built and I really like playing alot of the late 90's arcade games in their original ratio of 4:3, even though the Supermodel Emulator does a fantastic job converting these into a 16:9 ratio. With that being said I couldn't find any "per game" Bezels for the full Model 3 Set of games, so I decided to use my Photoshop skills and make my own. So here is the full set of Model 3 Bezels on a per game basis. Personally I use an amazing CRT Shader with these Bezels via ReShade and it looks pretty damn good. If you are a 4:3 purest, enjoy these custom Bezels!! -Cheers!

Create marquee images from Clear Logos (for use with Pixelcade™ LED Marquee displays) Pixelcade already provides numerous marquee images for many Platforms. But you may come across one or more that are missing. This plugin will create 128x32 marquee-resolution png images using your games existing Clear Logo and place them in your Pixelcade directory**, under the corresponding Platform folder. What’s needed: The plugin files Pixelcade software installed (including LEDBlinky) [https://pixelcade.org] ffmpeg.exe (used to convert/create the marquee images) [https://ffmpeg.org] (included) (optional) An actual Pixelcade™ Marquee display Installing: Download and unblock the plugin zip file (Right-click the zip file, select Properties and check UnBlock) Copy the contents of the zip file into your ../LaunchBox/Plugins/ folder i.e. D:\LaunchBox\Plugins\PixelcadeMarquees\ Setting up the plugin: The default install location for Pixelcade is “C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixelcade”**. If you installed it somewhere else, edit “pixSettings.xml” located in the Plugin folder. (Notepad can be used to edit it) Change the path (line #3) to match your install location. Save and close. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <settings> <pixCadePath>C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixelcade</pixCadePath> </settings> **Note: If your Pixelcade installation is located under “C:\Program Files (x86)”, you will need to have Access Permission to be able to save the images there. The plugin will check for permissions when launched. If it doesn’t have the proper permission, images will be saved to the "Completed" subfolder. i.e. D:\LaunchBox\Plugins\PixelcadeMarquees\Completed\ You will then need to copy them manually when done. The images will be saved to their own Platform subfolder as Pixelcade sees them. (Pixelcade Platform naming conversions are taken from "console.csv" located in your Pixelcade directory.) Example: if your Platform is called "Arcade", images will be saved in the folder "mame". Using the plugin: Start LaunchBox. Select one or more games. Right Click and select Generate Pixelcade Marquee Image Click Create Marquee Game Title vs. ROM name: In most cases LaunchBox passes the games ROM name to LEDBlinky (which in turn passes it to Pixelcade). But for certain games (namely Steam games [and others?]), LaunchBox will pass the games Title. For these, you’ll want to check the box Use game Title for marquee image. If the games Title contains illegal characters (such as : [semicolon]), the image will not be created. When selecting multiple games, if you check Use game Title for marquee image and click Create Marquees, if the game Title contains illegal characters, a message will popup indicating that game will be skipped. You can bypass these messages by checking Skip warnings about Titles with invalid characters. Special thanks to @megashub for coming up with the idea for this plugin and for figuring out how to manipulate and convert the images to make them suitable for Pixelcade™ displays. As always, questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The idea of this set is to place the gameplay video in context, with the hardware of its time. A touch of nostalgia to better understand an unknown material especially for the youngest. Most of the montages use the EmuMovie gameplay videos. The others are mine. I don't want to spam our forum with Game Marquee banners. The community has been provided with the wonderful tool CTC. In addition, there are already so many good tips to put together your own marquee or banner or whatever. Here are two tools that I am currently using myself to beautify my setup. Marquee Generator template for Community Theme Creator 1.1 Realistic Marquee Monitor FX 1.3 And last but not least, my pictures with which I am currently assembling my platform marquees for download. I'm currently using it to create my game marquees like this one, not final yet, but the possibilities are there... Realy simple examples:

1296 SHMUPS! Split playlists for arcade and consoles. Download the .xml files and place them in your LaunchBox\Data\Playlists directory. Here's how many games are in each playlist: SHMUPS (Arcade): 501* SHMUPS (Dreamcast) 24 SHMUPS (Game Gear) : 9 SHMUPS (GB/GBC) : 42 SHMUPS (GBA): 21 SHMUPS (Genesis) : 70 (including Sega CD and 32x games) SHMUPS (MSX): 144** SHMUPS (Naomi): 18 SHMUPS (NES): 132 (including Famicom and Famicom Disk games) SHMUPS (PS1): 69 SHMUPS (PS2): 34 SHMUPS (PSP): 24 SHMUPS (Saturn) 54 SHMUPS (SMS): 20 SHMUPS (SNES): 39 SHMUPS (Turbo Grafx): 99 (including Turbo CD/PC Engine/PC Engine CD/SuperGrafx games) SHMUPS (All-in-one) 1296 *2 games in the Arcade list, 'Pilot Kids' and 'Zero Gunner', will require a Sega Model 2 emulator for them to work. These two games are made by Psikyo...quality SHMUPS. **The MSX list still needs a bit of work, there are a few 3D/rail shooters that need to be edited out. A future update will probably have less games in the list. What these playlists have: 2D and 2.5D horizontal and vertical SHMUPS Some classic fixed screen SHMUPS (Space Invaders, Galaga, Asteroids, etc.) mostly No Clones (These lists were handpicked. Lots of 'Same game, different name' games were filtered out) No Run 'N Gun style games (Contra, Metal Slug, Turrican, etc.), but some hybrid games did make it on here. No 3D Shooters (Afterburner, Galaxy Force II, Space Harrier, etc.)

16:9 Bezel and overlay for Atari Destroyer. Install: 1) Unzip contents. 2) Drop the destroyr folder into your appropriate platform folder under rocketlauncher/media/bezels/[your platform]/ 3) Drop the destroyr.zip file into your MAME/artwork folder. 4) Enable backdrops and overlays in your MAME machine under video options, and set view to "full" for the best experience. The overlay/bezel is meant to be used with the V2.0 of the destroyer rom. The MAME artwork part of the bezel is only used to provide the blue overlay and backdrop for the game. Credits to: Trevor Brown for his awesome artwork scans, and Derek Moore for the generic arcade bezel used in the composition of this overlay.
