Can do the following to force an immediate update check regardless of your options: Go to Hamburger menu (three lines) Go to Help Selected "Check for Updates...." This will immediately check for an updated version and download once it finds it.

Having issues getting these logo's ripped out of this image for some reason. Anyway some one can pulled the logos out of this image? Just need the solid white image really. I can add my own text to the logo if need be.

Yeah, when using FFmpeg and simply copying the video codec you can only cut from I-Frame to I-Frame, to get around this and cut wherever you want you have to use a video codec and let the program re-encode the video with it. I do this using other tools usually (AviDemux is my go to) and use x264 encoding with a mp4 container.

Right now everything is speculation. A LOT can change in 5 months and Steam has flopped before releasing PCs as console to the general market. Will be interesting to see how this thing holds up to the hype.

You're device (much like Neil has stated) has to be connected so a device that ISN'T the computer and then would have to know to re-pair TO the device on start up. I'm not sure this is possible using a Xbox controller without a host of help software located on several different devices. Sounds like you'd need to look into apps that can control all the things you are looking for, but I can almost assure you that will NOT be your XBox controller.

Think the outlet is probably easier. Makes it work on far more devices and many even have built in WiFi (smart home outlets) so you could even turn your PC on from your phone on your way home from work so it was ready for you by the time you opened your door. Also FAR easier to set up (at least it sounds like it to me) than the solution you are describing.

Thought SteamDeck had their own Linux based OS on the device and it was locked down to that?

Always possible to get a bluetooth enabled power outlet and plug the PC into that outlet and then configure the PC BIOS to turn on when power is detected. Then just use whatever app the outlet uses to turn on the PC

I was able to find the cause for the black screen thing, and it was a essentially things loading out of order causing confusion in the program. I have my doubts though that it will correct the issue RULLUR is seeing but we can vet that out.

That will be corrected in the next release. Big Box doesn't try to resume your downloads like LaunchBox does so it makes sense you would see it one and not the other. If you want to you can remove the ImageQueue.xml file from your data folder while LaunchBox is closed to cancel your downloads and get rid of that error.

Yeah, or just tell Skraper to stop doing backups and metadata updates.

Yeah, Skrapers default settings wreck LaunchBox because of how/where they save the backup files. The files that read "'...-backup.xml" in your platforms folder need removed.

@OhBoy I believe I have found the cause of the Game Detail black screen bug and have code in place to correct it. Should be in the next beta release. @RULLUR I am actively looking into CoverFlow images not loading, but haven't found a cause for what you're seeing. I believe you sent me your data folder in the past but just so I know I have an up-to-date version could you throw your data folder into a zip and PM it to me? I can use it to help track down the cause of what you're seeing.

@OhBoy I doubt this issue is related to the beta, as you have found a forum post that old about it. I've noted it though and will take a look into it. Could I get the following information from you in regard to the error: What theme(s) do you see this on? Can you make it happen by doing a certain thing, or does it seem random? Do you have any plugins installed? What are your Big Box settings? Are you supposed to be playing a video, or loading an image? What Background transition do you have selected? Do you have any logs produced when you notice this happening you could send my way?

Would it be possible for you to copy/paste the whole error for me so I can see it? Would help narrow down the cause.

Well no wonder, that is a LOT of files to be trying to scrape at once. Do you have the same issue scraping just a platform at a time?

That seems incredibly long. What platforms were you scraping? About how many titles are you trying to scrape at once?

If you are looking to cancel the queue in its entirety simple close LaunchBox then look in the \\LaunchBox\Data\ folder and remove the ImageQueue.xml file then reopen LaunchBox

We are aware this build still has a few issues importing all of a users Amazon library still, we have code in place now that should resolve that and will be available to test in the next release.

Wanted to give ya a heads up @gboava I was able to replicate the issue you reported and it should be corrected in 11.13 (though is not in currently public beta 3 build).

Cool, can you let me know if you still experience this at all in this release. If you are any details you could provide regarding what you were doing, what images got deleted, etc would really help.

Looking for input from everyone in regard to images not being saved (or deleted) when using the Add/Edit Game screen or the Download Metadata and Media tool.
