  1. shinra358 said So then we have 2 separate cursors. I have a ds4 and if I use the track pad, the normal cursor moves. If I use the left analog stick, the launchbox cursor moves. Why aren't they one and the same like what games do (custom cursor follows normal cursor)? And/or how come I can't disable one? What is a ds4? There are two cursors, but one is the regular system mouse cursor. I'm wondering if maybe you have some kind of additional control going on using an external application.
  2. I saw that the other day. Amazing. And I'm ready to increase my consumer entitlements. I WANT MY PACKAGE AND I WANT IT NOW!!!! :P
  3. Hi guys, I'm happy to add better support to LaunchBox for it, but I need to know how it needs to be different. Is there a command line that even works for the emulators?
  4. It's been a nasty battle to get LaunchBox in borderless window form to behave properly; it's like a balancing act, if I fix one thing I break another one. Microsoft unfortunately really screwed the pooch with that. So I need to get back to it at some point, but it's hours and hours of stumbling around to fix those issues, unfortunately. I haven't found the perfect code anywhere online for that yet.
  5. Good find, shinra; I'll put this at the top of the list.
  6. Hi guys, let me clarify a few things. First off, deleting a platform does *not* delete any games, which is what is causing the confusion. I have plans to prompt to make this less confusing. What it does do, is basically remove the platform from any existing games with that platform, so that the games all have an empty platform. I'll be changing this very soon though. In the mean time, you can just delete the games themselves.
  7. That's pretty strange. What happens if you try and (temporarily) remove your LaunchBox.xml file? I suppose that could be the cause; it could have gotten corrupted. In that case, there are backups in the Backups folder. Other than that, I'm clueless.
  8. The purpose is for game controllers in LaunchBox itself. If you disable game controllers, it should never show up, I believe.
  9. Status = Whatever you want to use it for (Complete, Missing Artwork, etc.) Source = Meant to be Steam, Digital Download, Physical Disc, etc., but again, whatever you want to use it for Portable = Whether or not the game is portable in the LaunchBox folder and comes with LaunchBox when synced to other machines (doesn't require an install, etc.)
  10. Nice lol. Looks like you got your priorities straight. :P :D ;)
  11. Hi Bucko, additional views should be coming soon, but yes, as of right now there is only that style of view.
  12. Hi, Matt. Unfortunately Big Box is not currently available as a trial. There are also no skins, though they are planned. However, Big Box may never be as skinnable/customizable as XBMC, as that is not currently a focus of ours. Big Box randomly chooses from the list of fan art; currently you can't specify a particular one to use. You can launch Windows Store apps, but unfortunately (as you know) Microsoft has made it difficult. There's an article somewhere around here on the forums that gives instructions. Thanks for stopping by. :)
  13. Yeah, holy crap. 140 gigs. So if your LaunchBox.xml is 10 megs (which is a rather large LaunchBox.xml file), that would mean there would have to be 14,000 copies of it in your temp folder. That's a lot of copies.
  14. Thanks @rsn5746. Looking at those system specs, unfortunately it is possible that LaunchBox won't run smoothy with a large collection on that machine. If my research is correct, that Pentium D CPU is 10 years old, and I know performance has come a long way since then. 3 gigs of RAM might be pushing it as well, unfortunately.
  15. Actually, I don't think Circo at EmuMovies is going to have a problem with someone sharing the videos amongst his paying customers; that's no big deal, especially since they already paid anyways. For what it's worth, EmuMovies doesn't usually have problems with the site being down; I saw that earlier today, but that seems like a rare occurrence. Anyways, it does appear to be back up now. Per FLV videos, my experience was that if the videos played in WMP, then they would play in Big Box, but I guess we've found an exception; that is odd, considering that it's using the same engine, and it fixed it for other people in the past, or at least I thought. Do you have an active EmuMovies subscription? If so, you should be able to download MP4s now that the site is back up.
  16. That has been on my list for what seems like years. I want that for my own family as well, so it is definitely coming. I'm hoping I can get to it very soon.
  17. Ah, good find polygonslayer. I added a change relatively recently to save to the temp folder first in order to help prevent data corruption. I had no idea the size of it could get so significant. I'll add something to clean up that folder. :)
  18. Hi @rsn5746, just FYI, performance should not be poor with 4,000 games. LaunchBox usually handles that kind of load with ease. Also, this day and age, the notion that .NET is slow is outdated and incorrect. So much so that Microsoft is building large portions of Windows itself with it. I'm constantly improving the performance of LaunchBox, but it sounds like there might be some other kind of issue going on, because LaunchBox is much more performant than that.
  19. Hi @TONBOX777, the ratings drop down only shows ratings that currently exist for the games in your database. However, you can manually enter any other ratings and they should show up just fine as well. There are images for all of the ESRB ratings (and Big Box should be smart enough to figure it out no matter how you format the rating). More customization options in Big Box are definitely coming, but as of yet you can't tweak the sizes or positions of the interface elements. I'll be getting back to Big Box development after I get the next version out. :)
  20. Yeah, start + select is already the default buttons to close/quit the active window. Unfortunately customizing all those button combinations would probably be too convoluted.
  21. Agreed, Craig. Good idea. I also have an item on my list to allow a default image for each separate platform. So I can tackle both of those together.
  22. Also, by the way, LaunchBox does now allow you filter out duplicate games when importing MAME games (just in case anyone else lands here). :)
