  1. I'll tag @Jason Carr for you in hopes it makes him see it faster and be able to help you out.
  2. It's intended though I agree it can be a bit confusing at first.
  3. The default emulator check box in the Associated Platforms window doesn't change anything, that's just for the game import process. To change your emulator for your games you have to edit the game and change the emulator and to do it for all the games in a platform you have to select all the games using Control + A and then right clicking and edit to bring up the bulk edit tool, select emulator and then the emulator you want to change it to. Here is a quick tutorial video I did a little while ago that shows how to setup Retroarch and the NES core with Launchbox, even though it's for the NES the same rules still apply to any other Retroarch core.
  4. The default command lines for the cores is horribly outdated, @Jason Carr needs to update them. The Snes9x Next core doesnt't even exist so that is most likely the issue. I don't know exactly what core you are using but edit the line so that the core dll file being loaded matches the one you are actually using in Retroarch.
  5. Would be nice to have a dedicated button to download and upload community star ratings
  6. Check your Retroarch Associated Platforms window, make sure the platforms name matches up and the command line is calling the core that you are actually wanting to use.
  7. It's generally best to try and match your version of Mame to the rom set you are using. Later versions of Mame can require different roms due to changes in emulation accuracy or better dumps. You don't necessarily need to have an exact match but sometimes it can make a big difference. For example not too long ago there was a change in the Capcom CPS2 roms and the emulation, there was an encryption chip on the boards that finally got cracked and the roms were updated to include these and the newer versions of Mame looks for these encryption key files. Higan is a great emulator, no question about it and if you can run it perfectly fine then by all means use it. I could use it if I wanted to but I chose to go back to using Snes9x for its speed which allows me to use the freed up CPU power to reduce input latency. It's a personal choice and trade off thing, I don't mind sacrificing some of the extreme accuracy for better performance and input latency. Your English is perfectly fine in fact it's probably better than most native English speakers here on the forums sometimes lol.
  8. Generally speaking the two are mutually exclusive but I will go through the list and give you my thoughts and suggestions. SNES - Snes9x for speed and is quite good for 99% of the games you would ever want to play. BSnes Balanced is more accurate but will require more CPU power. Higan is the most accurate and up to date but will require a hefty CPU to power it. My personal choice lately has been Snes9x even though I have the CPU to drive BSnes and Higan because I can push the frame delay much higher which reduces input latency. NES - Mesen core in Retroarch, near 100% accuracy. Gameboy Advance - The best option here is the mGBA core. Gameboy / Gameboy Color - Sameboy is supposed to be the most accurate core but the Gambatte core is great as well. Nintendo 64 - Use the Mupen64plus core. The Parallel core is more accurate especially when you factor in the AngryLion plugin but it drives up the CPU requirement by quite a lot. Master System / Genesis - The GenesisGX Plus core is the clear choice here, it handles both along with the Sega CD and SG-1000 with near perfection. Sega Saturn - The Retroarch Mednafen / Beetle core is very good but seems to require a bit more CPU over the stand alone version of Mednafen. Sega Dreamcast - Stand alone emulators are your best bet here, Demul is the most accurate while NullDC is faster. (Update: Redream is another great choice here, simple to setup but lacking WinCE game support as of this post) Update: The Flycast core in Retroarch is now my recommended way of emulating Dreamcast. Sega Naomi - I don't emulate this at all but I am fairly certain Demul handles it. Sony Playstation - The Beetle / Mednafen software core is great but if you want to do some internal resolution scaling and take advantage of the PGXP features to get rid of texture and polygon wobble the hardware core is the only way to go. Update: Duckstation or the RA version Swanstation is equally good. Both are excellent and no real issues with either. Sony Playstation 2 - Only one choice here, PCSX2 stand alone. Sony PSP - The Retroarch core has gotten updated recently and is much better than it was in the past but I still suggest the stand alone version of PPSSPP. Arcade - Mame, either the Retroarch core or stand alone are perfectly fine. Use the version that matches your rom set version. NeoGeo - Mame or the FBA core in Retroarch are perfectly fine. Gamecube / Wii - While there is a Retroarch core of Dolphin stick with the stand alone for it.

Good to hear you got it working the way you want it.
  10. I really don't think you would see any difference in 126x and 32x, hell I can't even tell any difference between 8x and 16x. I can run at 16x easily on my system with an Nvidia GTX 970, scaling it up really isn't all that demanding when using the hardware accelerated core and a somewhat modern GPU.
  11. Yeah that error is a missing VC++ runtime. Another option for emulator to use is Mednafen itself which is very good but a little more pain in the ass to setup due to no GUI.
  12. This also got made a lot easier with Snes9x not requiring the manifest.bml file. I actually prefer Snes9x now for MSU games because its faster.
  13. Good to hear, ill add it to the change log.
  14. I have uploaded separately compiled GenesisGX cores that Typhon over on the Retroarch forums did. Basically use them for Game Gear, Master System, Sega CD and SG-1000 while using whatever the most recent GenesisGX core is for the Genesis. The separate cores won't be updated often or at all though but there are instructions over on the Retroarch forums on how to compile your own if so inclined. https://forums.libretro.com/t/i-compiled-some-split-cores/4370/28
  15. You should be able to force import them even if they aren't in the database, I did that with Akai Katana.
  16. Well this was stickied at the very top of the forums section you posted in: and in that post is this: and then there is the Youtube channel which has a tutorials section if you scroll down a little: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSIht6UXIEXIgz4eXAEShxA/featured

  18. Yeah Alt + Enter is the universal Windows shortcut for switching back and forth between windowed and fullscreen mode, it works for most every program.
  19. I doubt that, 1 should be more than enough for it.
  20. How far into the game does it tell you there's not enough blocks ? I'll see what happens when I load it up but if I gotta play the game for more than a half hour or so that's just too much, not much of a fan of the game personally.
  21. Im saying look into creating a separate one just for Shenmue and see if that's enough space for it. I know with Playstation you can create full mem cards for a single game.
  22. I know it's fully playable and saves work for it though, that's why I say to look into creating a VMU save file for it. Dreamcast emulation is just something that doesn't really interest me so much lately. I'm more into the 16 bit and arcade side of things myself, along with a side helping of 32 bit.
