  1. Good to hear you got it working now
  2. If you want to get into Retroarch then make sure you have the cores downloaded using the online updater tool in Retroarch and then in Launchbox you will have to make sure your associated platforms tab is setup right with the cores you have downloaded. Just make sure the dlls you have match up with the ones in the associated platforms.
  3. Try a simpler emulator to get set up like Snes9x or BSnes.
  4. The last official version of MameUIFX was 175 but if you want to have the same user interface for your Mame then there is a replacement. It is called Arcade (pretty generic name) but it installs in the same folder as a standard Mame install and adds a new exe file called Arcade.exe. Just run that file and set it up just like MameUIFX, it creates a folder called GUI and has its own .ini files to keep them separate from the standard mame.ini. 5. @FrodeSolheim Welcome to the Launchbox forums, feel free to make yourself at home here if you like While I have no special attachment to the Amiga and rarely even tough the emulator and games I do have to thank you for FS-UAE. It's a great emulator to use considering it is for a computer when most computer emulation is a royal pain in the ass.
  6. No clue but I know it's all stored on a NAS setup. Personally I am fine with my 10,000 or so games. Even with only that many there is far too much shit in my collection.
  7. This the game you are looking for ? If you are looking for a rom of the game unfortunately we cannot share that information.
  8. There is a person with approx 50,000, can't remember who it is off the top of my head though.
  9. Feel free to join us on Discord as well. always a bunch of us on there and willing to answer questions. https://discord.gg/X3Cwsyw
  10. It would show up as it's own platform. This is something I have been trying to get Jason to implement for a while and hopefully it will make an appearance soon. I really want to make custom platforms and then be able to have games from other platforms appear in the custom platform as well as the custom one. So using the TMNT example: Have a TMNT platform then go through each system and for each game go to each TMNT game, then in each games edit window have a tab with a way to have that game show up in chosen custom platforms. You could have the arcade, NES, SNES and Genesis games show up in the TMNT platform without the need to re-add and scrape those games and they would use the emulator they are assigned in their "home" platform.
  11. Amiga yes, the rest I don't bother with. FS-UAE is really good with the controller since it actually has a menu you can bring up with the controller much like PPSSPP and Retroarch does. Check out the video @Zombeaverdid on that emulator and setting it up, it's really good.
  12. It seems like you have Daemon Tools setup as an emulator and I have no idea why you would even use Daemon Tools for PCSX2 since it doesn't need to mount disks to use them. Setup PCSX2 in Launchbox as your emulator.
  13. For my setup I use an XBox 360 controller and a Hori Fight Commander https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Fighting-Commander-Controller-PlayStation/dp/B00TKLFES8/ref=sr_1_4?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1483643680&sr=1-4&keywords=hori+fighting+commander But both are wired so unfortunately that is no good for your specific needs. I use the 360 controller for any system that needs an analog controller and the Hori FC for olde non analog controller systems. Some people like the 8bido controllers such as this one https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-8Bitdo-Wireless-Controller-Keychain/dp/B01M0SS6AX/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1483643578&sr=8-3&keywords=8bitdo It's a fairly decent all around controller but the analog sticks are not as good a 360 or a DS4 controller. For a relatively simple all around solution I think the DS4 controller is probably the best setup, you may just have to bite the bullet and buy a couple more for your setup. As far as managing them is concerned though hopefully someone can chime in to help you out here. I keep hearing of people having issues with Windows 10 and multiple controllers and I have been avoiding it.
  14. ST-V emulation in its current state is bad. Using Radiant Silvergun as an example Mame still has problems with it running too slow. Your best bet for those games is to play the Saturn versions since they are nearly identical.
  15. Yeah I don't use Retroarch for arcade systems at all aside from NeoGeo which I think is perfectly fine. It was a system that had a home version and used the same display and resolution for all of its games. Mae had decent enough shaders in the past as it was with its GLSL shaders and then the much improved HLSL with some personal tweaks but BGFX is really shaping up to be great. I will have to dive into a new build like 181 and see if there have been any improvements since 178 which is the last build I have used. In fact there was never a good reason to use Retroarch for arcade games over stand alone Mame at all. It's only now getting to a point with the bit builds of the newer Mame cores in RA that it is even getting close to competing with stand alone Mame.
  16. I'm not sure what the exact CPU requirements are on the BSnes Balanced core but the Accuracy core is around the 3 GHz mark so if you are close to that you should be more than good to go with the balanced core.
  17. Snes9x is a good all around core, it has decent compatibility and works well on not so high end hardware but personally I prefer the BSnes_Balanced core over it. BSnes has a bit higher CPU requirements but you get near 100% compatibility. I just think the Snes9x2010 is a step backwards unless you are really struggling for perfomance.
  18. Then something else was setup wrong. Did you try the BSnes cores at all ? I only say this because the Snes9x2010 core is based off an older 1.52 build of Snes9x and has more incompatibilities than even the standard Snes9x.
  19. Or you could have just downloaded the actual Snes9x core.
  20. Moved the thread to the appropriate section. Did you download the Snes9x core in Retroarch and is it in your Retroarch\cores\ folder ? Also you cannot play NES games with a Snes core. Some of Brads tutorials might be older now but they should still be correct in how things are done.
  21. @Jason Carr Using version 7.5 beta 2 disabling the "Use Z-Axis to Scroll" box solves the problem while in "normal mode" which is where I was having the problems. I also looked in BigBox mode for what you suggested and I never saw that before but no problems in BigBox mode, everything works fine.
  22. Is the controller just a standard USB controller ?
  23. It's possible it got removed in the build of the core you are using. That's just a guess though since I don't use the Mame core.
