  1. Ok that seems like a decent workaround, thanks! Would be nice to just have the checkboxes for each platform right there in the option window itself. But this is do-able.
  2. These are badass. Please make more!
  3. Added some Teknoparrot games. I know Teknoparrot technically isn't a platform, but I didn't want a separate platform for each system (taitox, nesica, namco es3, etc.) just for 1 or 2 games in each. So I'm just treating teknoparrot like a platform in my setup. Here's the banners I've made so far. Also have a photoshop template that I will eventually add to my file download post.
  4. Do you have this without the silver border? I'd like to put it into my crylen's rectangle border template.
  5. Just used the game startup screen for the first time, and it seems like it is a blanket function that is applied to all platforms. Is there any way to select a certain platform for it to be active on?
  6. Probably meant in the retroarch options to enable overlays and save the core override.
  7. Did you try refreshing the image cache in the options menu?
  8. Even better, they should all be included in Launchbox for you to pick from! Imagine the possibilities. Glossary, chapters, cross-referenced? Sounds like a job for a Librarian hehe.
  9. yeah i realized the errors were actually different after i posted lol. I went to an older beta, and then let it prompt me again upon startup to install the most recent beta, and everything is good now. I wonder if it was because the first time I selected "yes" to update it was within BigBox? This time I ran it from Launchbox. Thanks for that tip!
  10. Mine is set to false. My Launchbox still won't start up. CefSettings.BrowserSubprocessPath not found. Restarted computer, and now neither LB nor BB starts up.
  11. @dragon57Thanks for making the switch video!
  12. Hey, is there any way you could render another version with all of the gameplay videos sound instead of the soundtrack that was put on it?
  13. Oh yeah I know about that. I spent too much time with Ms paint and mouse coordinates. I tried so many times and the emulator would get thrown all over the place under the bezel. I threw in the towel on that pretty quickly. Just found some community files and then worked off those, because they already were in a working state.
  14. Yeah, I definitely beat my head against the wall in the first few months, because I was trying to find the coordinates manually for some stuff and it never seems to be drawing the bezel on top properly when I did it. But with everyone else's .ini files it worked just fine. So yes, thankfully there was a lot of end user support. The same thing with MAME actually. I couldn't ever figure out how to actually make a .lay file, so I'm glad I was able to find a huge pack years ago that basically covers every game I'd ever want to play. The end-users have really filled in the gaps for so many things out there in the emulation/artwork realm. It's pretty frickin' cool, and has helped out so many people get their collections looking graet. I've done some photoshop to edit some bezels to align better with my mednafen setup. But that was just altering the image and not the coordinates. So that was easy. What I was getting at, is that once it was set up, it hasn't just up and stopped working. It's been going strong for that entire time-span. But yes, you definitely have a point there. If anything can help people get some cool bezels up there, then that's a WIN.
  15. Actually for the Switch bezel i just tried out for fun, it was only a matter of putting the image and .ini file in the folder, setting bezel enable to "true" in RL, and having the emulator run in windowed mode. The tweaking is only daunting if you have to do the x,y coordinate stuff manually. I struggled with that a lot in the very beginning. But eventually there's enough people who make the bezel files (image and .ini) already and share them, that you can just plug 'n play. Eventually it would all be covered. It already sort of is covered on the RL side. I mean, if I donated everything from my setup alone it would cover at least half of new users who just want to play the most popular systems. I don't think it's a good idea to say things will never work. Launchbox has so many features that I have no idea how to use or get to work. I don't even know the first thing about them. But they are there for some reason lol. If someone can't figure out how to use a feature then it just doesn't get used I suppose. Heck, if Launchbox doesn't auto-fill the command line parameters I'm already lost as to what to do. I have no idea what to ever put in autohotkey,...There's so much I don't know how to use. But I've been using RL for the past 10 years for Bezels, and past the initial setup of a platform, it has worked on everything I have. It seems like there must at least exist some sort of decent framework there for it to function. I'm sure it could eventually be integrated. I mean, look at everything launchbox has done since its inception. Very impressive stuff. I'm going to hold out hope that eventually it will be possible. However, this plug-in does look like it can do a good job. I may have to try it someday. I guess I'm just so damn used to RL that there's no point for me to mess with anything else just yet.
  16. I'm still using Rocketlauncher specifically for the Bezels, because I don't use Retroarch for a few of my systems, and that way I can have a uniform look across everything. Heck there's even a Switch Bezel for Rocketlauncher lol. It may take some tweaking, but once it's all set up, there's really no issues. It would really be nice if the people over at Rocketlauncher would just donate their Bezel code to Launchbox to see if it can be integrated into the frontend directly. But probably will never happen that way.
  17. I think you need to turn on Auto-populated playlists and have it run for all your platforms. I forget exactly where the option is, but I have all those "filters" when I enter a platform.
  18. No don't have a cabinet yet. I really want to get a recroommasters cab. Someday. For now it's just on an older 55" TV. And yeah, the database/metadata/artwork retrieval system is phenomenal.
  19. It took me a long time to finally hit the delete button on my hyperspin folder. But eventually, I just never ended up using it anymore. Launchbox is just so much better all around. Especially the metadata and database stuff. Having to edit the Hyperspin xml files was a PAIN. With the Bannerbox theme, I haven't ever seen my collection look so good before. Love it! Launchbox rules.
Great style! Using these for my setup.
  20. Wow,...I had that program years ago, but never was able to really get it to work before. Probably user error lol. So this gives you the ability to swap in and out and have the PS2, GC, etc., controller profile be loaded automatically when you plug in the different controllers? And then since you mapped that controller ID in the emulator beforehand, it is still looking for that controller ID and sees it just fine then huh? Looks cool!
  21. There are USB adapters for PS2 controllers and Gamecube. Wired versions of Xbox360 and Switch. So all you'd have to do is map the controllers in the emulators for each console. Just make sure to never unplug them while the computer is running, or else Windows will shuffle all the controller ids and you'll have to re-map everything all over again.
  22. Not the original theme no. I believe there was an updated one released that did pull from already existing art assets. If you use this original theme, you have to use the community theme creator to do a run of images that put all the elements together as one banner. I've uploaded files and also some mega links to a full set of what systems I have, as well as several templates that can be used to fill in any gaps.
  23. That was a frickin' fantastic run. WOW! No idea why it would be slower for no apparent reason though.
  24. Are you using the BannerBox Theme? If so, I have a huge set of artwork and Photoshop file download links. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2406-bannerbox-bordered-clear-logo-banners/?changelog=7403
