Yup, I was going to say, just name whatever icon you choose the same as the name you chose for the platform or playlist. I had to do that for my platform "PC Games" because I don't have one called "Windows".

Custom Platform Marquee Images for 32" Cabinet Marquee Screens
damageinc86 replied to Jason Carr's topic in Platform Media
I have a question regarding marquees. So I am using the bannerbox theme, which means that the banner folder has all the images that override the normal launchbox banner folder. But that's where the non-arcade systems usually have their marquee files. So they don't show when using this theme. I tried moving "arcade - marquee" up in the priority list, and adding a folder with the marquee in it. In this case, one of the category marquees. But it seems that launchbox doesn't look for anything in the "arcade - marquee" folder for non-arcade systems. Is there a way to make launchbox either look in that folder, or just look in a folder simply named "marquee" for the non-arcade systems? I'd like to still use bannerbox and also have marquees show for platform categories and platforms. Not just the games. Thanks! -
Others might think differently though. I know a lot of people split everything up very meticulously.

Well what architecture/system are you playing the pygame on? Mac, or P.C. ? I guess it would depend on a few things for me. If I have enough games to warrant it having it's own dedicated platform, I'd just make one called pygame. If I only have a few games, and the particular game versions I'm using, were made to be played on a P.C., then I'd throw them under that platform.

Not sure. But you could easily use my template to try to make your own. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2406-bannerbox-bordered-clear-logo-banners/?do=findComment&comment=15199

I don't divide things like that up at all really. My platform is PC Games. So, if it is a PC game then it goes in there. I don't really care about publishing platforms (steam, origin, etc.) I would probably divide it up if I ever got into win 3.1 specific stuff, or the win98 stuff. But it's just PC Games, and MS-DOS. That covers everything for me.

Weird issue with TeknoParrot and Marquee's
damageinc86 replied to Toaster777's topic in Troubleshooting
The only thing that is happening with my 2nd monitor (set to same resolution as 1st monitor) is the game screen is encroaching a little into the 2nd monitor. Not as much as the BATMAN example above. But you can still see it. After I exit the game it goes back to normal. Not sure what would happen with a different resolution 2nd monitor. But definitely an issue with this emulator. -
That's really interesting actually. I can't think of any games of the top of my head that I would set up win98 specifically to play, but it's still pretty damn cool it can be done through RA, and then launched through launchbox. Would you be able to make a video showing your setup for that? I'd like to see it in action.

Can you turn on the game startup screen for only one platform?
damageinc86 replied to damageinc86's topic in Features
Ok that seems like a decent workaround, thanks! Would be nice to just have the checkboxes for each platform right there in the option window itself. But this is do-able. -

Added some Teknoparrot games. I know Teknoparrot technically isn't a platform, but I didn't want a separate platform for each system (taitox, nesica, namco es3, etc.) just for 1 or 2 games in each. So I'm just treating teknoparrot like a platform in my setup. Here's the banners I've made so far. Also have a photoshop template that I will eventually add to my file download post.

Do you have this without the silver border? I'd like to put it into my crylen's rectangle border template.

Probably meant in the retroarch options to enable overlays and save the core override.

Unwanted clear logo for a playlist in Big Box - how to delete or replace?
damageinc86 replied to jackhulk's topic in Noobs
Did you try refreshing the image cache in the options menu? -
Even better, they should all be included in Launchbox for you to pick from! Imagine the possibilities. Glossary, chapters, cross-referenced? Sounds like a job for a Librarian hehe.

Launchbox Crash on Startup after update attempt from BigBox
damageinc86 replied to damageinc86's topic in Troubleshooting
yeah i realized the errors were actually different after i posted lol. I went to an older beta, and then let it prompt me again upon startup to install the most recent beta, and everything is good now. I wonder if it was because the first time I selected "yes" to update it was within BigBox? This time I ran it from Launchbox. Thanks for that tip! -
Mine is set to false. My Launchbox still won't start up. CefSettings.BrowserSubprocessPath not found.
