  1. What an awesome set! I like these lighter gray textured carts more than the airbrushed looking ones. Nice job capturing the color variants, and different styled carts too. Will definitely be incorporating these into my setup, since it matches the style I already had from ci2own's set.
  2. Ok, I was told to make sure to at least ask moving forward. EDIT: Found the actual creator of this template and asked for their permission.
  3. No solution to offer. But this is so odd to hear about, as I've literally never had BB not play the startup video properly. What the heck could be going on?
  4. That's an interesting look, dividing it up by platform. I suppose it is assumed you can quickly tell what platform it is going to be based on the box art. But still would be cool to have an option to have a more clear division.
  5. This works great! Thank you so much!
  6. I'm going through filling in blanks for my set, which is a mixture of europe stuff in there as well. I was wondering, what font did you use for the "DMG-ZL-USA" text? EDIT: Nevermind, found a reddit post somewhere that suggested plain old Arial, and that matches perfectly. Here's the settings:
  7. Is there any other system that you've ran into this problem with? I've never tried importing commodore 64 stuff, so I don't have any experience there. And I've only manually added a handful of games at a time. Yes, I understand the time consuming part. I'm actually going through my gameboy cart art filling in gaps, and it's taken a few 4 hour sessions to get to the letter D. Maybe someone else knows more about using the audit function and the import function in a better way than I do. I've never ran into the problem of launchbox importing the roms initially, but then when the import is done, it's not there. Every single time I've ever imported, the rom/game entry still shows up in launchbox when I'm finished. It just has no artwork because the database didn't have that entry to link it to any artwork. So I can quickly scan that platform, see the entries that are just text, and go investigate that entry more to see if it was a spelling error, or if it really isn't in the LB database. Then I can assign it my own artwork if I have it. It's never disappeared after the import for me. So that is the odd part. Sorry I couldn't be of any real help.
  8. Maybe there's a "display hidden" option somewhere?
  9. I guess I don't understand what is happening. Can't you just click the "add" button to any one of your platforms and add any game you choose? I've added Commander Keen hacks to my MS-DOS platform, and launchbox has no idea what they are, so I just manually type all the info in and add all my artwork. It doesn't disappear afterwards. Odd.
  10. Amazing work! Thanks for keeping up on this. Great updates. Great progress.
  11. wow,...found you damageinc86. Searched for "sega triforce" and way down on the list is this png. The answer is no. You just have to put the bordered logos into the Clear Logo folder.
  12. Yes i changed the canvas resolution, and attempted to resize what I could down, but it was very difficult because they were then so large they were way outside of the bounds of the canvas. For some reason arcade cabinets wouldn't show up for me. And I changed no attributes at all other than resizing.
  13. Is there any chance you could make a version of this that outputs at 1920x360 so they could match up with Jason's marquees that work on the pixelcade LCD ? I tried editing the theme, but could not get certain images to ever show up, I only got about halfway through and gave up.
  14. Yup, I was going to say, just name whatever icon you choose the same as the name you chose for the platform or playlist. I had to do that for my platform "PC Games" because I don't have one called "Windows".
  15. Oh yeah, as an avid photoshopper, I've run into my fair share of stray pixels, or stray lines that I somehow missed when clearing a selection. Then i'm staring at the screen in launchbox wondering why the hell there's all this crap on the side of my clear logo! hahah.
  16. I've added games not in the launchbox database before. Just add it manually and don't look it up in the database. Add your own artwork. point it to your own emulator, rom file as usual, etc.
  17. I have a question regarding marquees. So I am using the bannerbox theme, which means that the banner folder has all the images that override the normal launchbox banner folder. But that's where the non-arcade systems usually have their marquee files. So they don't show when using this theme. I tried moving "arcade - marquee" up in the priority list, and adding a folder with the marquee in it. In this case, one of the category marquees. But it seems that launchbox doesn't look for anything in the "arcade - marquee" folder for non-arcade systems. Is there a way to make launchbox either look in that folder, or just look in a folder simply named "marquee" for the non-arcade systems? I'd like to still use bannerbox and also have marquees show for platform categories and platforms. Not just the games. Thanks!
  18. Others might think differently though. I know a lot of people split everything up very meticulously.
  19. Well what architecture/system are you playing the pygame on? Mac, or P.C. ? I guess it would depend on a few things for me. If I have enough games to warrant it having it's own dedicated platform, I'd just make one called pygame. If I only have a few games, and the particular game versions I'm using, were made to be played on a P.C., then I'd throw them under that platform.
  20. What sort of gradient effects or any effects did you use on the background layer? I'd like to try to replicate it for platforms you didn't cover. Or do you have any sort of template file?
  21. Not sure. But you could easily use my template to try to make your own. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2406-bannerbox-bordered-clear-logo-banners/?do=findComment&comment=15199
  22. I don't divide things like that up at all really. My platform is PC Games. So, if it is a PC game then it goes in there. I don't really care about publishing platforms (steam, origin, etc.) I would probably divide it up if I ever got into win 3.1 specific stuff, or the win98 stuff. But it's just PC Games, and MS-DOS. That covers everything for me.
  23. I guess someone forgot to delete one pixel when making the .ico image? lol.
  24. The only thing that is happening with my 2nd monitor (set to same resolution as 1st monitor) is the game screen is encroaching a little into the 2nd monitor. Not as much as the BATMAN example above. But you can still see it. After I exit the game it goes back to normal. Not sure what would happen with a different resolution 2nd monitor. But definitely an issue with this emulator.
  25. That's really interesting actually. I can't think of any games of the top of my head that I would set up win98 specifically to play, but it's still pretty damn cool it can be done through RA, and then launched through launchbox. Would you be able to make a video showing your setup for that? I'd like to see it in action.
